In a rare television appearance, former President George W. Bush stopped by Fox News early Thursday morning to promote the Warrior Open golf tournament, a four-year running annual event sponsored by the Bush Center to honor wounded warriors and the organizations that support them.
Besides the event itself, probably the two newsiest items to come out of the interview were Bush's assertions that his brother “wants" to serve as president, and that President Obama rarely calls him. Nevertheless, President Bush didn’t criticize him for it.
“It doesn’t hurt my feelings,” he intoned. “Presidents tend to rely on the people they’re close to…and I understand that.”
Bush also mentioned that he didn’t miss Washington all that much, either. What he says he does miss, however, is "saluting" the troops.
