If you were hoping to pick up Under Armour's "Band of Ballers" T-shirt, you might be out of luck.
The company said Saturday that it will stop selling the controversial shirt after an outpouring of criticism on social media.
The Under Armour shirt showed the silhouette of several men raising a basketball hoop in an apparent imitation the famous flag-raising at the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II.
Hundreds of people outraged by the shirt flooded Under Armour’s Facebook page and Twitter account with complaints
"Under Armour has the utmost respect and admiration for active duty service men and women and veterans who have served our country," the company responded on Twitter.
"We deeply regret and apologize the release of a shirt that is not reflective of our commitment to support & honor our country's heroes. We have taken the necessary steps to remove this shirt, and any related shirts, from all retail and ensure this doesn't happen again."
