MSNBC guest: White churches need to hang heads in shame, start reparations for slavery
Liberals are trying to tie every conceivable social change possible to last week’s murders at a black church in South Carolina.
Susannah Heschel, a professor of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College, appeared with MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry on Sunday and made the argument that America cannot heal from slavery and Jim Crow until reparations are paid to black people.
“The focus has been on forgiveness and the evocation has been of Christ of the cross forgiving. But what about the Romans, the crucifiers? What about their repentance?” she asked. “In Judaism there is no repentance without restitution.
“I would like to know if the white churches in this country are hanging their heads in shame today,” she said. “But you know the shame isn’t enough because they can’t repent without restitution. When are we going to have reparation for slavery, for Jim Crow, for the new Jim Crow?
“Unless you give back, there is no forgiveness for you. The repentance cannot even begin without the restitution.”
So a professor of Jewish studies is lecturing white Christian churches about the political question of reparations for blacks?

how many trillions have been spent on wealfare since LBJ'S wr on poverty began in the 60's??? 15 trillion??? i know...not all of that went to blacks...so....5 trillion...
and how much has been spent on affermative action??
how much on quota hiring??
how much on law enforcement in the hood because dealing drugs is easier than getting an education and a job??
