They are obstructing for the sake of their radical agenda yet again.

Congressional Democrats have blocked Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s efforts to get unanimous consent to pass the next round of coronavirus aid for America’s small business owners. (CNBC)

Senate Republicans hoped to pass a bill Thursday to put $250 billion more into a loan program for small businesses devastated by the coronavirus pandemic. With lawmakers out of Washington, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell tried to move the measure by unanimous consent, meaning any one senator had the power to block it.

On Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer asked for the bill to include $250 billion for hospitals, health care systems, state and local governments and food assistance program, on top of money for small companies. However, Pelosi said she only wanted $125 billion for the existing program specifically, and another $125 billion for community-based lenders and Small Business Administration disaster assistance loans and grants.
