June 11th – So nice to be able to post on something positive for a change. Economics professor Dave Brat shocked the political world yesterday with his blowout victory over House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. First time a sitting House Majority Leader has ever lost a primary, making incumbents from both parties a little nervous today. Some quotes from future congressman Brat: 1) “I’m running on free markets, constitutional principles. I don’t think free markets are either right or left. I don’t think the rule of law is either right or left.” Amen. 2) “I will fight to end crony capitalist programs that benefit the rich and powerful.” Amen again. Finally, Brat won easily despite being outspent 25 to 1. So his last quote is for all establishment Repubs/RINOS, DC elites, lobbyists, media pundits, pollsters, amnesty advocates, crony capitalists/corporatists & the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – Dave Brat: “The good news is dollars don’t vote, people do.” DOUBLE AMEN.
