Federal laws or Dictatorship ?

Eric Holder to Kansas governor: New state gun law unconstitutional

** FILE ** Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback. (Associated Press)

A new law in Kansas that prevents government agents from enforcing federal gun laws in the state is unconstitutional, Attorney General Eric H. Holder said.
“In purporting to override federal law and to criminalize the official acts of federal officers, [the law] directly conflicts with federal law and is therefore unconstitutional,” Mr. Holder wrote to Gov. Sam Brownback in a letter dated April 26. “Federal officers who are responsible for enforcing federal laws and regulations in order to maintain public safety cannot be forced to choose between the risk of a criminal prosecution by a state and the continued performance of their federal duties.”
The measure, known as the Second Amendment Protection Act, prevents any law enforcement official from enforcing any federal regulation or law governing any firearm, accessory, or ammunition “manufactured commercially or privately and owned in Kansas, provided it remains within the borders of Kansas.”
It also exempts any firearm of the same description from federal regulation and allows state officials to enjoin agents from enforcing federal gun laws regarding firearms owned in the state.

First there was this gun ....It was developed by General Electric, the "We bring good things to life" people.  It's one of the modern-day Gatling guns. It shoots very big bullets. It shoots them very quickly.Someone said, "Let's put it in an airplane."Someone else said, "Better still, let's build an airplane around it."So they did. And "they" were the Fairchild-Republic airplane people. And they had done such a good job with an airplane they developed back in WWII ....called the P-47 Thunderbolt, ...

Why does a gay basketball player get more attention than a war hero, including a call from President Obama?

BEING A GAY BASKETBALL PLAYER IS EVIDENTLY MORE IMPORTANT THAN BEING A WAR HERO.  OOPS, IT MUST BE, BECAUSE IT PAYS BETTER AND GETS THE ATTENTION OF THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF.

Man Claims God Made Him Stab Dogs

Police say a 31-year-old man faces charges after stabbing two dogs with a knife at his family's home outside Philadelphia.
The Daily Local News reports West Goshen township resident Gregory Thomas McMahon, 31, was charged with animal cruelty in connection with the April 18 incident. He was formally arraigned Monday, according to court records.
Police say they responded to the home after McMahon's brother called 911 to report Gregory McMahon had stabbed the family dogs with a kitchen knife.  Police say the suspect told them he “had to do it” and that God had made him.
Officers found two American Bulldogs covered in blood. They're being treated at the Chester County SPCA.
A telephone listing for McMahon was disconnected and it couldn't immediately be determined if he had an attorney.

The know- it- all suddenly knows nothing

by John ransom  of Townhall Finance

Apparently a lot of people who know nothing reside at the top levels of the Obama administration. Why does that not come as a surprise?
It’s probably because the tone of any organization is set from the top, the very pointy top.
Still it’s surprising that the administration that knows more about banking than bankers, more about healthcare than doctors, more firearms than people who legally possess arms, more about budgets than citizens who have to balance their checkbooks and more about practically everything than anyone else, would admit that on a few things, they really know nothing.
“On most days it's hard to tell him he's wrong about anything,” recently confessed one top Democrat about the Commander in Brief.
It’s seems equally hard to TELL him about anything too.
But here it is:
Obama knows nothing about Benghazi.
He knows nothing about Boston’s Tsarnaev brothers.
He knows nothing about Fast and Furious; He knows nothing about green energy loans, either.
Yes, the man who recently proclaimed: I AM IN CHARGE NOW, FINALLY! knows nothing.
This seems strange coming from the administration that leaked every damn detail about how Barack Obama personally hunted down and killed Osama bin Laden, while simultaneously saving Detroit from bankruptcy… saved Detroit at least until after the election in 2012, that is.
The “I don’t know” claim is not just at odds with the know-it-all-ness of the administration either.  It’s at odds with what others are saying, others who seem to know what they are talking about.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sent a written warning about accused Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2012,” reports the U.K.’s Daily Mail,  “long before pressure-cooker blasts killed three and injured hundreds, according to a senior Saudi government official with direct knowledge of the document.”
The Department of Homeland Security and the White House however say they know nothing about it.
From the Daily Mail:
'DHS has no knowledge of any communication from the Saudi government regarding information on the suspects in the Boston Marathon Bombing prior to the attack,' MailOnline learned from one Homeland Security official who declined to be named in this report.

Why is the economy so bad ???

Report: Obama Has Spent 3.6% of Presidency on Economy

 click for full, official report
A new report by the nonpartisan Government Accountability Institute (GAI) finds that President Barack Obama has spent 3.6% of his total work time throughout his presidency in economic meetings of any kind.

The study, titled “Presidential Calendar: A Time-Based Analysis,” based its findings on the official White House calendar, Politico’s comprehensive presidential calendar, and media reports through March 31, 2013. The study defined the president’s work week as a six-day, 10-hour-a-day time period.
“You should know that keeping the economy growing and making sure jobs are available is the first thing I think about when I wake up every morning,” Obama said in 2011 to an calendar analysis last July, which found Obama spending scant time on the economy. Prior results found that Obama spent an average of just 138 minutes a week in economic meetings of any kind.
“There will be some who will be encouraged by the numbers and some who will wish the president spent more time in economic meetings,” said GAI President Peter Schweizer. “We just tabulate the numbers and let others decide how to interpret them.”

ISSUES ON GUN CONTROL

Gun control advocates turn to ballot initiative in Washington
April 29, 2013
The group Washington Alliance for Gun Responsibility announced its plans Monday. Supporters will need to collect nearly 250,000 valid signatures, with state officials recommending the submission of more than 300,000 to account for duplicates and invalid signatures.
If supporters get enough signatures, the initiative would first go to the Legislature early next year and then to the ballot if lawmakers fail to adopt it. Proponents in the state Legislature did not have enough votes to pass a bill on background checks this year.

THE PROBLEM WITH SOCIAL SECURITY REFORM IS THE GOVERNMENT ALREADY STOLE THE MONEY

I’ve been waiting in the wings very patiently for the all the uproar to die down before I weighed in on the incredibly stupid 2010 comment made by former Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson in which he called me and my fellow senior citizens, “The greediest generation.”
I understand that so-called “career politicians,” especially Alan Simpson, have consistently viewed the Social Security Trust Fund as a honeypot in which they could dip into anytime they saw a potential problem on the horizon—a situation created by their own blundering desire for reelection.  Moreover, it is recognized that neither I nor anyone else signed up to support a government that artificially deprives its citizens of a reasonable return on its life savings (ZIRP), thus creating even more dependence for that Social Security check each month.                                                                    Therefore, I firmly believe that Alan Simpson along with the other several hundred career senators and congressmen are truly the greedy group.
Nevertheless, it would appear that we are at a standstill since no amount of discussion, argument, or commentary is going to change either Alan Simpson’s opinion or my opinion.  Therefore, I have a very simple solution.  I am the first of the baby boomers, thus give back to me and my “greedy generation” all the money that we’ve contributed to the Social Security Fund for the past forty-years and I’ll even let the government keep the so-called interest that it supposedly earned.  This resolution will eliminate the name calling since I think even a career politician would agree that the return of what is rightfully ours cannot be classified as greed.    by bill tatro [revised]   THEY ALWAYS REFER TO S. 30 REASONS TO DISLIKE BARACK OBAMA

John Hawkins | Apr 30, 2013
As a conservative, picking out things you don't like about Barack Obama is kind of like pointing to the wettest part of the ocean. It also goes beyond politics. Not only is Barack Obama wrong politically, he's not a good guy, "cool," or even moderately likable. To the contrary, he's one of the nastiest, least admirable people in politics and he gets by based on a phony persona he created when he ran for President in 2008 -- along with the help of press corps liberals that work to protect him like they're on his payroll. Based on his performance and his personality, Barack Obama deserves to be the least popular man ever to sit in the White House.     1) Nobody but an ass would say, “It’s very rare that I come to an event where I’m like the fifth- or sixth-most interesting person.”     2) He's a former (maybe, who really knows?) coke-snorting pothead who governs with all the care and due diligence you'd expect from a coke-snorting pothead.     3) Barack Obama actually said, “The private sector is doing fine.” Given that the private sector has never at any point been doing fine since he became President, he'd have to be dumb, dishonest or delusional to say something like that.     4) He is a bigger liar than Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter put together. There's nothing the man says you can count on his meaning unless he's saying something nice about himself.
     5) He's made racist comments about white people. Just to name one example,
"That’s just how white folks will do you. It wasn’t merely the cruelty involved; I was learning that black people could      be mean and then some. It was a particular brand of arrogance, an obtuseness in otherwise sane people that brought forth our bitter laughter. It was as if whites didn’t know that they were being cruel in the first place. Or at least thought you deserving of their scorn."    6) His whole campaign in 2012 revolved around telling people Mitt Romney was an awful human being because he had money. Meanwhile, Barack Obama is worth 10 million dollars. What a hypocrite!     7) He once picked his nose on camera.

OBAMA ADMINISTRATION OFFICIALS THREATENED WHISTLE-BLOWERS ON BENGHAZI, LAWYER SAYS

By  FOX NEWS

At least four career officials at the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency have retained lawyers or are in the process of doing so, as they prepare to provide sensitive information about the Benghazi attacks to Congress, Fox News has learned.
Victoria Toensing, a former Justice Department official and Republican counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee, is now representing one of the State Department employees. She told Fox News her client and some of the others, who consider themselves whistle-blowers, have been threatened by unnamed Obama administration officials.
“I'm not talking generally, I'm talking specifically about Benghazi – that people have been threatened,” Toensing said in an interview Monday. “And not just the State Department. People have been threatened at the CIA.”
Toensing declined to name her client. She also refused to say whether the individual was on the ground in Benghazi on the night of Sept. 11, 2012, when terrorist attacks on two U.S. installations in the Libyan city killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens.
However, Toensing disclosed that her client has pertinent information on all three time periods investigators consider relevant to the attacks.

GOOGLE...........ANTI-GUN

Google, Joyce Foundation Big Players in Anti-Gun, Left-Wing Activism
Both the Joyce Foundation and Google are established players in the anti-second amendment movement as well as other progressive political causes.
The Joyce Foundation has injected large chucks of money into the anti-gun movement, including Mayor’s Against Gun Control and the Violence Prevention Center.   (Aside: Who was on the Board of the Joyce Foundation? None other than President Barack Obama who keeps assuring us that he doesn’t want to take our guns away. Obama sat on the board of the Joyce Foundation from 1994-2002.)
Likewise, Google’s support for anti-gun “advocacy” is no secret.
Specifically, they’ve banned results related to firearms and other products that they don’t deem to be “family safe.” Until recently, gun-related products appeared with other products in search results on the shopping section. Many of America’s 80 million gun owners have used Google as a powerful price-comparison tool. Not anymore.
And the connections go further, Ben Howe writes:
We know that Obama campaign manager Jim Messina received personal mentoring on both technology approaches and management style from Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt, his friend since the 2008 campaign.  We know that Google employees overwhelmingly contributed to Democrats in the last cycle (and aggregate individual employee contributions outnumbered the company’s PAC contributions). We know that Google vice president and “chief Internet evangelist” Vint Cerf received a presidential appointment to the National Science Board following last year’s election.
The left wing Joyce Foundation just funded a digital advocacy study co-authored by Organizing for Action’s (formerly Obama for America) Michael Slaby, who used to work for Google's Eric Schmidt.
As we continue hear wailing and lamenting about “big money” in politics and the need for campaign finance reform, let’s keep in mind the left is as big a benefactor if not bigger of “big money” as the right.

AMEN !

NEW DISNEY MOVIE

Talk is cheap because supply exceeds demand.
Walt Disney's new film called "Jet Black", the non-racist version of "Snow White", has been put on hold.

All 7 dwarfs...Dealer, Stealer, Mugger, Car Jack, Drive By, Pimp and Wog...have refused to sing "Hi Ho".
And they also say they have no freaking intention of "Going off to work".

Just Say The Word

Obamas credibility on Syria - empty threats ?

David Gergen: If Obama Doesn't Respect His Own Red Line Iran and Israel Won't Buy His Toughness
CNN senior political analyst David Gergen made a statement on CBS's Face the Nation Sunday that was rather hawkish for a former Clinton adviser.
"If [President Obama] doesn't respect his own red line on Syria, there is no question that Israel and Iran will look at that and say, 'Well, we can't trust the guy. He's not going to be tough.'"

DAVID GERGEN: I appreciate the Administration has a dilemma. They want Assad to fall. They want him to lose, but they don't want the rebels to win. It puts you in an awkward place because they're really worried it will become an Islamist state. But Norah, I respectfully disagree that the red line's a distraction. Once a President of the United States draws a red line it becomes important to the world. Everybody else reads in to how he responds to a red line. Is he serious about Iran? Is he not serious about Iran? He's drawn a red line on Iran. If he doesn't respect his own red line on Syria, there is no question that Israel and Iran will look at that and say, "Well, we can't trust the guy. He's not going to be tough."
NORAH O'DONNELL: But even if we cross the red line it's not clear that we're going to do anything further.
GERGEN: But to go back to John's point, the red line implies that you're going, and he said it's going to be a game changer. I mean, why did he draw the red line without knowing what he was going to do next?

Said it before, we're just gonna have to BAN them old dangerous knives

Annie Get Your iGun

The Bang! Bang! iPhone add-on is a case of apps gone wild.
advertisement
Talk about a killer app.
A new iPhone app that simulates gunfire and other weapon noises blasted its way into the App Store Monday, kicking off the countdown to the almost-inevitable first tragedy spawned by this ill-conceived product.
The so-called Bang! Bang! app features a picture of a gun – and “fires” when the user, holding the iPhone horizontally, tilts the device forward with a motion that mimics shooting a real pistol.
The gunshots sound real enough – that’s because they were taken from “Cinema quality effects sourced from Oscar-Winning Sound Designers,” boasts RnSK Softronics and Damabia, the folks responsible for the $1.99 app.
RnSK Softronics Firearms
“Experience the sweet release you can only get from a finely crafted firearm – a firearm so smooth and well-balanced it feels like an extension of your own hand,” notes the Web site ad copy.
“The details are astounding...you don’t just hear a ‘bang’...you hear casings hit door flaps and hit the ground, trailing echoes from your last bullet fired and even the ‘clunk’ of loading an individual shotgun shell.”
More versions reportedly are in the works – including an “Old Gangster” model with the virtual serial number scratched off and an AK-47-like machine gun.
Perhaps the most amazing thing about Bang! Bang! is that Apple let it in the App Store. Meanwhile, the App Store recently rejected the Obama Trampoline” game, which pokes fun at the president and other top politicians. That program, at least, provided a few laughs, but there’s nothing funny about guns.
For all the techie brainpower behind Bang! Bang!, common sense – and perhaps common decency – got tossed into the sewer like a smoking gun.
Paint your own horror scenario: Teenagers are playing cops and robbers with their iPhones on a dimly lit street. Real cops respond to what sounds like bullets…
Some municipalities have banned or have pushed to ban realistic-looking toy guns, but they probably never anticipated anything like Bang! Bang!
Defenders of the app are likely to argue that it’s a harmless novelty. But the novelty will wear off instantly with the first drop of blood shed because of an iGun.
