El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, who once described his own country as “Third World,” is saying that the United States has lost the moral high ground regarding democracy.

Bukele’s comments are in response to the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision Tuesday to remove former President Donald Trump from their 2024 presidential ballot based on a wild misinterpretation of alleged violations of the 14th Amendment.

Section 3 of the 14th Amendment is a rarely cited Civil War-era provision that bars individuals from holding office if they “have engaged in insurrection or rebellion” or “given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”

The court determined that Trump is ineligible to be on the ballot for president in a 4-3 decision.

“The United States has lost its ability to lecture any other country about ‘democracy,'” Bukele posted to the X social media platform.

President Biden's approval rating has plunged heading into the holiday season, and support from his own party appears to be dwindling. On "Fox & Friends" Tuesday, a lifelong-Democrat-turned-independent voter said she recently left the party over Biden's "lack of understanding" of American voters, adding that she plans to vote for former President Trump.

BARBARA TULKO: I'm very dissatisfied with the current president. I was a lifelong Democrat and recently changed to independent because I have found that every time I try to go to the grocery store, it costs me more money. I'm a little afraid about what's going on with our border. I'm kind of concerned about it. I live within five minutes from New York City, and I'm actually kind of afraid to go there. And I think a lot of it has to do with his lack of understanding of what's really important to the American people. He's busy worrying about what's going on in other places.

Only one-third of Americans gave Biden a thumbs up on the job he is doing in the White House, according to a new national public opinion survey.

The president stands at 34% approval in a Monmouth University poll released on Monday, with 61% giving Biden a thumbs down on his job performance.

The president's approval is at an all-time low in Monmouth polling since Biden took over the White House nearly three years ago.

Americans questioned in the survey gave the president particularly low marks for his handling of immigration (26%) and inflation (28%).

Biden once held the upper hand over Trump in 2024 rematch surveys, but Trump began enjoying an advantage over his successor in the White House in most polls starting in October.

What on earth is the congressional GOP thinking?

Reports indicate the White House and Republicans in Congress are at work on a deal that would tighten border security in exchange for OK’ing aid to Ukraine — and that a major bone of contention is whether to set a trigger point for expedited migrant removals when illegal crossings hit 3,000 or 5,000 per day. 

Huh?

If Washington can tell border agents to stop waving in illegals when the total hits some arbitrary threshold, then it can tell them to do it from the jump. 

In other words, by dickering over just how many illegal migrants can come through in a day before the door slams shut, the Biden administration has at long last said the quiet part out loud: The law doesn’t actually require treating the word “asylum” as a magic “open sesame.”

It’s open because Biden opted to appease the left wing of the Democratic Party, which wants open borders however it can get them. 

Look: The law says every illegal entrant must be detained until “final determination” of their status; all the evidence indicates the vast majority don’t have legitimate asylum claims. 

The smart immigration policy open-borders Biden refuses to consider

GOP efforts to “compromise” here (in order to reduce the overall time) would endorse the plainly illegal policy that Biden adopted on Day 1 of his administration. 

And even the 3,000-in-a-day trigger would still add more than 1 million to the country per year — people without employment, shelter or other key resources. 

So adopting real border security would not be Biden “selling out,” as disgraced Sen. Bob Menendez called it last week (and he really should know better, given the pile of gold bars that show how for-sale he is).

Rather, Biden is selling out the whole country with his “wave them in” policy. 

He and his flunkies invite millions in and leave inundated border towns and big cities to fend for themselves. 

Getting that aid to Ukraine (and to Israel, along with funds to beef up US defense procurement) is vital, but so is ending the border madness.

If Republicans can’t get Biden to take the obvious deal, they must at least avoid any “compromise” that codifies his twisting of the law.

I hope the removal of these monuments makes all the "people" who wanted them removed "FEEL BETTER". These soldiers are no different than any of the other veterens, who fought in all the wars the US was involved in. they were fathers, brothers, sons and cousins who for one reason or another wound up fighting for the southern confederacy. In some ways, its's not too different than those who fought in Viet Nam. The GOVERNMENT forced those men to go to war fighting for a foreign country. A lot of people have never read the TRUTH about their own American history. Ponder this: Why would the southern states want to go to war against the "north"? There must be a reason! Despite efforts from a group of Republican lawmakers, a Confederate statue in the Arlington National Cemetery will be removed in the coming days.

The Reconciliation Monument, known as the Confederate Statue, is part of the push to remove military installations named after the Confederacy in the wake of the summer 2020 Black Lives Matter protests.

According to a press release from the national cemetery, the statue will be removed from the cemetery by Dec. 22.

The move to remove the statue is in compliance with the Congressional mandate to remove all Confederate memorials by Jan. 1, 2024.

The Congressional mandate, passed in 2020, declared that the Department of Defense must remove all "names, symbols, displays, monuments, and paraphernalia that honor or commemorate the Confederate States of America" by Jan. 1, 2024.

The deconstruction of the memorial comes after a group of GOP lawmakers, led by Rep. Andrew Clyde, R-Ga., wrote a letter to Secretary Austin and demanded that they keep the Confederate Memorial in place until the end of the fiscal year 2024 appropriations process.

Donald Trump could have just set the stage for another election defeat, as he says the 2024 race is "ALREADY ON ITS WAY TO BEING ANOTHER RIGGED ELECTION!"

Trump, who earlier on Saturday gave a speech in New Hampshire in which he said immigrants are "poisoning" the blood of the country, afterward turned his attention to the numerous legal challenges he's facing.

"Look, it is what it is, but isn’t it unfair that I can be running such a great and successful campaign for President, leading in every poll against a corrupt and incompetent President, working so hard in a historic fight to save our Nation, and I have to go through the additional burden of, at the same time, fighting my political opponent’s many DOJ, A.G., and D.A. inspired non-meritorious lawsuits against me," the former president whined on his own social media platform, Truth Social.

He went on to suggest the current president is behind the numerous prosecutions and allegations.

"Joe Biden, and the thugs that surround him, should never be allowed to get away with this evil act of ELECTION INTERFERENCE," the ex-president wrote.

He also drew attention to a Wall Street Journal piece that accuses Special Counsel Jack Smith of politicizing the trial schedule by trying to involve the Supreme Court.

"Even today’s Wall Street Journal Editorial stated that, 'As we warned Mr. Smith (Deranged Jack)and A.G. Merrick Garland, indicting Mr. Trump would thrust them into the middle of an election campaign. This (the lawsuits) would have unintentional and perhaps damaging consequences. The wiser decision would have been….to let the voters decide.'"

Trump added, "THIS IS ALREADY ON ITS WAY TO BEING ANOTHER RIGGED ELECTION!"
