The Biden administration is requiring all health care workers get vaccinated against COVID-19 in a sweeping plan revealed Thursday that aims to increase vaccinations across the country amid surging coronavirus cases.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services said workers in health care settings that receive Medicare and Medicaid funding must get their shot.
“There is no question that staff, across any health care setting, who remain unvaccinated pose both direct and indirect threats to patient safety and population health,” said U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra. “Ensuring safety and access to all patients, regardless of their entry point into the health care system, is essential.”
Health care associations applaud the new policy and underscore the importance of getting vaccinated, but they're worried it could exacerbate workforce shortages amid a surge of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.
This unintended consequence could hit rural hospitals especially hard, said Alan Morgan, chief executive officer of the National Rural Health Association.

Summit.news reports: New South Wales officials unveiled a plan to slowly exit the region’s brutal lockdown, calling it a “roadmap to freedom,” although people who don’t take the vaccine won’t be included.
Once 70 per cent of Australian adults have been vaccinated, people will be allowed to host up to 5 people in their home if all are fully vaccinated (wow).
Up to 20 people will be able to gather outdoors and some domestic travel will be allowed.

However, unvaccinated people will remain under lockdown and will become second class citizens in perpetuity, as Berejiklian proceeded to lecture them like little children.
“Living with COVID means you have a cautious and staged reopening once you get to those high rates of vaccination in your adult population,” said Berejiklian.
“We have obviously consulted the national plan, we’ve also had input from our health experts and stakeholders to make sure that when we start reopening at 70 per cent double dose that it’s done in a safe way and it’s only for people who are vaccinated,” she added.
“So you have been warned! If you’re not vaccinated, come forward and get the vaccine otherwise you won’t be able to participate in the many freedoms that people have at 70 per cent vaccination,” said Berejiklian.
Those who are fully vaccinated will still have to wear masks and Berejiklian said that the most draconian restrictions could be reintroduced at any time.
“People at 70 per cent double dose will have freedoms but if there is a surge or unexpected things arise, the government will give advice that people in particular areas or towns may need to restrict their movements in the local government area as opposed to going all over the state,” she said.
The two tier society will of course be enforced via vaccine passports, which will ban the unvaccinated from any kind of social life, and eventually from general purchases as the Communist Chinese-style social credit score rolls out in western countries.

I watched and listened to the arrogance of ignorance about the Lee memorial today. It made me so sad.
"Those People" have no clue about who Robert E. Lee was.
They do not know that when he graduated from West Point, Lee is the only cadet to complete the Academy with no demerits, a record which still stands to this day.
They don't know that he was a brilliant Engineer and that he changed the course of the Mississippi River to save St. Louis.
They don't know that he was Superintendent of West Point.
They don't know that Lee was asked to be in charge of the U.S. Army between March and April of 1861.
They don't know that he signed a document on December 29, 1862 that freed the slaves at Arlington, Romancoke and White House plantations. It had force of law unlike the Emancipation Proclamation which freed not one slave.
They don't know that his army was ethnically diverse.
They don't know that he told his soldiers to go home and be good citizens after the war.
They don't know that he saved a small college in Lexington, Virginia when he accepted the position as President.
They don't know that Lee was admired by People from the North and South.
They don't know that President Gerald Ford signed the document that gave Lee back his citizenship.
They don't know that the reason why only the name Lee appears on the memorial was because everyone knew him.
They don't know that People of Color actually attended the unveiling of the memorial. For decades historians have lied and said that only White people were in attendance.
They don't know that military schools around the world studied Lee's Army of Northern Virginia.
They don't know and sadly they don't care!!

Recently released documents appear to contradict what Dr. Anthony Fauci previously stated about funding by the National Institute of Health and gain-of-function research at China’s Wuhan lab. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Fauci have notoriously had several contentious moments in congressional hearings regarding the pandemic. These documents appear to support Paul’s assertions that Fauci was lying. Fauci has been crowned by many on the Left as a hero during the coronavirus pandemic. However, these documents could destroy his reputation
“This is a road map to the high-risk research that could have led to the current pandemic,” said Gary Ruskin, the executive director of U.S. Right To Know, a group that has been investigating the origins of COVID-19, the Intercept reported.
“Surprise surprise — Fauci lied again. And I was right about his agency funding novel Coronavirus research at Wuhan," Paul tweeted on Tuesday.
Paul previously referred Fauci to the Justice Department, insisting that the doctor lied to Congress about the National Institutes of Health funding gain-of-function research at a lab in Wuhan, China.
"I will be sending a letter to the Department of Justice asking for a criminal referral because he has lied to Congress," Paul said back in July.
Assuming the documents are legitimate, this would prove either Fauci was lying or incompetent regarding the NIH’s funding. Nine hundred pages of information revealed that hundreds of thousands of dollars funded the research of the Wuhan Institute of Virology regarding bat coronaviruses and their correlation to human infections.
“The bat coronavirus grant provided EcoHealth Alliance with a total of $3.1 million, including $599,000 that the Wuhan Institute of Virology used in part to identify and alter bat coronaviruses likely to infect humans,” according to information obtained in a Freedom of Information Act request that was published by the Intercept.
The release of these documents appears to vindicate Paul. He made the claims that Fauci was lying about funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and there is now evidence showing that to be true. Fauci must be held accountable for what these documents show. As the country continues to grapple with the origins of COVID-19, the entire truth must be revealed to the public. The recent document release questions Fauci’s credibility.
Perhaps we should be listening to Sen. Rand Paul more and Dr. Anthony Fauci less.

August 23, 2018I totally get why people are opposed to pipelines, this irresponsible pipeline company came into this community and booked a shit load of hotel rooms for months, ate all their meals at local restaurants, bought fuel and supplies in town, and not only that they salvaged the timber and turned what was once unproductive bush land into a productive pasture with new fences for this landowner ... the nerve !!
