Mississippi third-grader forced to remove ‘Jesus Loves Me’ mask: lawsuit  By Jackie Salo  November 5, 2020

A third-grade pupil in Mississippi was robbed of her First Amendment rights when her school forced her to take off a mask that said “Jesus Loves Me,” a new lawsuit claims.

Lydia Booth, 9, was ordered by her principal to remove the mask Oct. 13 at Simpson Central Elementary School in Pinola — claiming that it went against district policy, news station WLBT reported.

The school later issued a statement banning any mask that displays “political, religious, sexual or any inappropriate symbols, gestures or statements that may be offensive, disruptive or deemed distractive to the school environment.”

The Alliance Defending Freedom filed a federal lawsuit Monday on her family’s behalf claiming the district violated her free speech.

“Public schools have a duty to respect the free expression of students that the First Amendment guarantees to them,” ADF attorney Michael Ross said.

“Other students within the school district have freely worn masks with the logos of local sports teams or even the words ‘Black Lives Matter.’ This student deserves an equal opportunity to peacefully express her beliefs.”

Tyson Langhofer, who is senior counsel at the ADF, added that the school’s actions upset the third-grader, news station WBRC reported.

“She’s told her parents she wants to be a missionary and that’s why she wants to wear this mask,” Langhofer said. “It made her really sad when she was forced to remove this mask because the message means something to her and it’s her choice to wear it.”

An attorney for the Simpson County School Board said the district hasn’t been served in the lawsuit but doesn’t comment on potential litigation, WBRC reported.

The White House is backing a decision by Facebook to permanently ban President Donald Trump from the platform.

“The Board upholds Facebook’s decision on January 7, 2021, to restrict then-President Donald Trump’s access to posting content on his Facebook page and Instagram account. However, it was not appropriate for Facebook to impose the indeterminate and standardless penalty of indefinite suspension. Facebook’s normal penalties include removing the violating content, imposing a time-bound period of suspension, or permanently disabling the page and account. The Board insists that Facebook review this matter to determine and justify a proportionate response that is consistent with the rules that are applied to other users of its platform. Facebook must complete its review of this matter within six months of the date of this decision,” a Facebook oversight board concluded about the decision. "The Board also made policy recommendations for Facebook to implement in developing clear, necessary, and proportionate policies that promote public safety and respect freedom of expression."

During a briefing Wednesday afternoon, Press Secretary Jen Psaki said she would not comment specifically on the former president's situation but then proceeded to comment on "broad" issues of misinformation.

Democrats are also onboard and are officially advocating for censorship.

Joe Biden Said There Was A Border Crisis In 2014, Research Shows  The Liberty Revolution

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- President Joe Biden might still be refusing to admit that there’s a crisis on the border, and he may well have campaigned on the false narrative that President Donald Trump’s border wall was “racist” – but that doesn’t change the fact that he once talked about a crisis on the border.

In a speech from 2014, then-Vice President Joe Biden admitted that there was a “crisis” at the southern border. He made the comments at an event in Guatemala City, appearing alongside then-President of Mexico Enrique Pena Nieto. He said that the United States and Mexico agreed that the situation was “untenable and unsustainable.”

The comments came at a time when huge numbers of children were taken across the border by human traffickers and illegal alien families. A total of 68,541 illegal alien children, unaccompanied by adults, were apprehended by border patrol officials. It was a 77% increase over the year before, and enough for Joe Biden to say there was a crisis.

Meanwhile, in 2021, some 170,000 illegal aliens were taken into custody at the Southwest border in March this year, which was the highest monthly total since 2006.

But President Joe Biden now refuses to acknowledge the crisis, and only admitted it was a crisis by accident when answering questions from journalists without the aid of a teleprompter.

In 2014, Biden said that the Obama administration would “take both immediate steps in the crisis and long-term challenges that we’re going to have to meet.” But by the end of the Obama administration, the crisis was as bad as ever – and it would take a New York real estate tycoon to run for president and do something about it.

Mitch McConnell Accuses Biden Of Breaking Promises

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is ramping up the pressure on President Joe Biden, heavily criticizing him again during a speech on the Senate floor.

On Wednesday, McConnell — who for a while was hesitant to criticize the president — said Biden hasn’t upheld his promise to be “a president for all Americans” in his first 100 days in the White House.

Some examples of this include the decision to completely shut down the Keystone XL pipeline, which killed thousands of American jobs; the passage of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, which was passed unilaterally without one single vote from a Republican in either chamber of Congress; support for House Resolution 1, a bill that would drastically change election laws in the country; and the decision to withdrawal all American troops from Afghanistan by September 11.

As McConnell summarized in his speech:

“The first hundred days have left much to be desired. Over a few short months, the Biden administration seems to have given up on selling actual unity in favor of catnip for their liberal base, covered by a hefty coat of false advertising.”

He followed up those comments by tweeting:

“A major theme of the Biden Administration has been false advertising: Last month, it was the multi-trillion-dollar ‘COVID relief’ bill that spent only 1% on vaccines. Now it’s a multi-trillion-dollar ‘infrastructure’ plan where roads and bridges are almost a rounding error.”

During his speech this week to a joint session of Congress, Biden touted his desire to work on a bi-partisan basis with both Democrats and Republicans. However, his words thus far have not matched with his actions.

McConnell said Wednesday that he believed a lot of the Democrats’ actions were due to their only slight majority in the House and Senate. He said he believed Democrats were rushing through legislation as fast as possible, knowing they could easily lose these majorities after the 2022 midterm elections.

As he said:

“Behind President Biden’s familiar face, it’s like the most radical Washington Democrats have been handed the keys, and they’re trying to speed as far left as they can possibly go before American voters ask for their car back.”

In addition to the rushed-through legislation, McConnell criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the southern border crisis. This has been a hot-button topic for many Republicans, who believe that the president has completely botched a situation that former President Donald Trump had begun to get under control.

McConnell even highlighted the fact that some migrants who have attempted to enter the U.S. have worn shirts that mimick Biden’s apparel from his campaign. He said:

“Democrats have decidedly avoided taking ownership of the results of their own campaign rhetoric on immigration. Reckless mixed messaging has come home to roost in the form of a humanitarian and security crisis on our southern border.

“Yet, through it all, the White House’s foremost concern seems to have been to avoid calling this what it is: a crisis.”
