By dictating a virtual cessation of economic activity, governments at all levels, but especially state and local, are causing an economic collapse the likes of which, if it continues, we have not seen since the Great Depression, if ever.

Stop the Insane Overreaction

The economic devastation that is now playing out before our eyes is not caused by the Wuhan flu virus. In the last 21 days, approximately 162,000 Americans have died. Of that number, 150 were killed by the Wuhan virus. If governments at all levels had done nothing, other than eliminating regulatory barriers to the deployment of already-existing medicines, would the virus have killed more Americans? Yes, that is what flu bugs do. Would it kill more than the 13,000 or so who have died from this year’s seasonal flu virus? Who knows? More than the estimated 80,000 who were killed by the flu in the U.S. just two years ago? I doubt it: world-wide, it has killed only a little more than one-tenth that number.
The answers to those questions are speculative, but this is not: by dictating a virtual cessation of economic activity, governments at all levels, but especially state and local, are causing an economic collapse the likes of which, if it continues, we have not seen since the Great Depression, if ever. When has such a government-caused disaster comparably devastated a non-socialist country? Not often. The inflation of the Weimar Republic comes to mind.
I agree with the Wall Street Journal editorial that Scott quoted from this morning, but I think it is too mild. Here is a prediction: the deaths of Americans caused by the Wuhan flu bug will be dwarfed by the suicides committed by people whose life’s savings have been wiped out, whose businesses have been bankrupted, whose jobs have been lost, and whose prospects have been blighted by the insane overreaction we now see from our governments. That overreaction must stop. Right now. Before it is too late, if it is not too late already.

GOP senator says China 'to blame' for coronavirus spread because of 'culture where people eat bats and snakes and dogs'
Nicholas Wu  USA TODAY

WASHINGTON — Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, drew a backlash on social media and from Asian American advocates on Wednesday for claiming China was "to blame" for the spread of the coronavirus because of a "culture where people eat bats and snakes and dogs and things like that."
'These viruses are transmitted from the animal to the people and that's why China has been the source of a lot of these viruses like SARS, like MERS, the Swine flu, and now the coronavirus, so I think they have a fundamental problem, the Texas Republican said to reporters, saying he did not object to a geographic name for the virus.
Asked about Asian Americans' concerns about racism, Cornyn said, "I disagree. We're not talking about Asians. We're talking about China, where these viruses emanate from and created this pandemic."

Now I know all the reasons why he said those things... AND, I'll never forget those who purposely got in his way,.. will you?'

Has it sunk in yet, that we as a country need to be manufacturing our own stuff

I Told You to Buy Guns and Ammunition But Did You Listen?  Kurt Schlichter Posted: Mar 18, 2020

My default position about how many guns and how much ammunition you should have is "more." We'll talk about that and other stuff in this very special edition of my exclusive Townhall VIP column.

Buy Guns and Ammunition
So, the country is on the verge of shutting down and I am driving past my local freedom dispensary – as opposed to the kush dispensaries for the local dope smokin' morons – and there, lined up in the rain like a bunch of sodden suckers, are a couple dozen folks waiting to get into the gun store to purchase guns and ammo. What a sad sight.

Rep. Gohmert on DHS whistleblower’s death: ‘Hard to believe it was a suicide’  Mar 14, 2020

One GOP congressman has raised questions about the recent death of a Department of Homeland Security whistleblower. One America's John Hines has more from Washington.

Image may contain: possible text that says 'To Make This Perfectly CLEAR, HERE IT IS IN BLACK & WHITE OATH OF OFFICE contains the words: "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic..." This oath is REQUIRED by the US Constitution and PRESCRIBED BY LAW. All members of the House &/or Senate that support illegal aliens over US Citizens are in violation of their Oath of Office and should therefore be REMOVED FROM OFFICE. IT REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE.'

For the people in Philly...This is what you get when Soros is involved....

$1.45 million Soros investment in Philly DA's race draws heat for Krasner
Billionaire George Soros has invested in a political action committee backing civil rights attorney Larry Krasner
I think folks on this page should know who and what we are dealing with. There are very powerful forces at play here, people behind the scenes who are using our city as part of a much larger plan.

Philadelphia DA Krasner, under whose watch the murder rate here is now the highest in a decade, was put Into office by billionaire George Soros.
His first goal is to disrupt civic life through increased lawlessness. Once he achieves that, the second step is to demand complete government control to stop the violence. “Social Justice,” much touted by Krasner and Mayor Kenney, leads straight to Socialism.
And Philly is not a unique case. The election of “social justice” District Attorneys is happening all around the country and is destabilizing our communities.
Elections have consequences. We need to vote for conservative, traditional leadership in this city, or we will descend into chaos.
Don’t just take my word for it, please do your own research. This article is from two years ago, surprising the Inquirer hasn’t bleached it from its servers.
“That all was overwhelmed by a $1.45 million check, written by billionaire George Soros on April 28 and reported Friday, to fund an independent political action committee backing Larry Krasner.”
“The Soros money, invested in a PAC called Philadelphia Justice & Public Safety, is being used for television commercials, campaign literature, and online ads, and to pay for people to canvass neighborhoods to speak with voters.”

So now it is reported that, after destroying his life & the life of his wonderful family (and many others also), the FBI, working in conjunction with the Justice Department, has “lost” the records of General Michael Flynn. How convenient. I am strongly considering a Full Pardon!

Paul Harvey gave a public warning back in 1965 and it's coming true

There are times when somebody says something and it seems almost ridiculous at the time but within a decade or so, it seems as though they could look into the future.
Perhaps that is how many people felt when Paul Harvey gave this very interesting talk on the radio.
The thing is, he did it back in 1965, so over 50 years have passed since that time.....
