Hillary: The Special Commitee on Benghazi is Hardly Necessary
When House Speaker John Boehner spoke to the media yesterday again about his decision to form a special committee on Benghazi, he made it abundantly clear that the investigation would not be a partisan witch-hunt or show trial to score political points. Rather, it was going to be an impartial inquiry convened for the sole purpose of learning the truth about what happened that night: “This all about getting to the truth. It’s not going to be a side show. It’s not going to be a circus. This is a serious investigation.”

Rep Trey Gowdy (R-SC), who you'll recall was hand-selected by Boehner to lead the investigation, echoed his boss' comments in an op-ed published yesterday at USA Today. In that piece, he laid out the reasons for why the special committee is necessary -- and indeed critical -- to the House's ongoing investigation:

Assault Rifles Stolen from South Side Chicago Rail Yard

The Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport rifles were stolen sometime between Sunday morning and Tuesday morning   Friday, May 9, 2014  |

Officials are investigating after more than a dozen semi-automatic assault rifles were stolen from a freight train container at a rail yard on Chicago's South Side.

.
Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Special Agent Thomas Ahern said Friday

that 13 semi-automatic rifles were stolen from the rail yard near 61st Street and Lafayette Avenue in Englewood sometime between the Sunday morning and Tuesday morning.

"Hopefully they're not used in a crime and we can recover them before something happens," Ahern said.
The Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport rifles were being shipped to a licensed federal firearms dealer in Minnesota and were stolen as they were coming through Chicago, according to authorities.
Community activist Andrew Holmes said he too is concerned about what might happen with the stolen weapons.
Boy ! The greatest place in the U S for semi- auto rifles
"I'm totally upset," he said. "If that gun is on the street, that assault rifle, with a 30-round magazine, that can do some damage within less than a minute."
Ahern said the ATF is working with the Chicago Police Department and Norfolk Southern Corp. on the investigation, but no suspects had been identified as of late Friday afternoon.
Officials have denounced the use of semi-automatic rifles with high capacity magazines in Chicago most notably after a military grade weapon was used in an attack at a Chicago park in September of last year.

School Delays Opening Due to Bear in Tree   By Dan Stamm           Friday, May 9, 2014

One of the Stranger Reasons to Delay School

Teacherhave heard all sorts of excuses before like the dog ate my homework or my little brother threw away my backpack but in this case the police were the ones telling teachers why kids wouldn’t be in class.

Phillipsburg High School in Warren County, N.J. opened 90 minutes late Friday morning after someone spotted a bear high up in a tree on the Hillcrest Boulevard campus.
Phillipsburg Police told NBC10 that they received a tip around 6 a.m. that a black bear was up a tree above some school buildings in the area of Hillcrest and Route 22.

Police said the bear spotting delayed the school opening as they tried to lure the bear from the tree.
Lehigh Valley Live reported that Phillipsburg School District Superintendent George Chando said that classes would be held following the delay but that outside gym class would be canceled.
It took about three and half hours for crews to tranqualize the bear and bring it down out of the tree

Minnesota Democrats Change Name of Fish – “Asian Carp” Is Offensive & “Hurtful”Written By : Tiffiny RuegnerMay 6, 2014
The fish is called the Asian Carp because it comes from Asia but Democrats think it’s offensive to call a fish that came from Asian countries “Asian” (am I allowed to say Asian here? I can’t remember)
asian fish

Minnesota Democrats changed the name of the Asian carp last week. They said the name was “offensive” and “hurtful” to Asians. The invasive jumping fish has spread to dozens of states causing destruction of rivers and waterways.
I Own the World reported, via Breitbart:
The Minnesota Senate on Monday approved John Hoffman’s (D-MN) bill to change the name “Asian carp” so called because the species originates from Asia, to “invasive carp”. Since Asian carp were introduced in the U.S. in the 1970′s, the fish have spread to dozens of states causing destruction in the delicate ecosystems of the waterways.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have been fighting off the most invasive species, the black carp from China, the Silver carp from Vietnam, and Grass carp from China from spreading into the Great Lakes were the fish could do massive damage the regions fishing industry. While arguing his case on the Senate floor, Hoffman said that referring to the fish as “Asian” was hurtful to some people.
They should have compromised and called it the “Invasian Carp” (see what I did there?). Okay, seriously, I feel like I just got stupider after digging deep to figure out why calling this fish from a handful of countries located in Asia, “Asian”, is hurtful, I came up with a blank.

New Hampshire School Defends Sexually Graphic Novel

Todd Starnes | May 07, 2014                      Editor's Note: Some language in this column may be offensive to readers.
“She could feel his erection, hot against her stomach.”
It’s not exactly Nancy Drew but that’s the kind of sexually graphic content freshmen boys and girls are being exposed to at New Hampshire’s Gilford High School – without their parent’s knowledge.
“’Yeah,’ he groaned, and he pushed her thighs apart. And then suddenly Matt was inside her, pumping her so hard that she scooted backward on the carpet, burning the backs of her legs.”
That’s an excerpt from “Nineteen Minutes,” a novel that 14-year-old English students have been assigned to read at the local high school. It’s a story that was first reported by EAGnews.org, the website of the Education Action Group Foundation.

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL, May 5, 2014—Today, Liberty Institute sent a demand letter to Broward County Public Schools on behalf of a fifth-grade Park Lakes Elementary School student, Giovanni Rubeo, whom a teacher prohibited from reading the Bible during “free reading” time. Liberty Institute Senior Counsel Jeremy Dys, along with Giovanni and his father, Paul Rubeo, will hold a media availability to discuss the issue with working press on the sidewalk near corner of East Broward Boulevard and Third Avenue outside of the U.S. Federal Building and Courthouse, Monday, May 5 at 2 PM ET. The address is 299 East Broward Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301.

The Park Lakes Elementary School teacher ordered Giovanni—while in front of his peers—to place the Bible on her desk and then to “get his father on the phone.” In a voicemail, the school official told Giovanni’s father:

Police Digging for Body at McCann Resort?

Police dig in the Portuguese vacation resort where Madeleine McCann went missing is likely to be looking for a body, a former Detective Chief Inspector with London’s Metropolitan Police said Wednesday.
“They could be looking for clothing, it could be weapons or some sort of other evidence, but in the case of the disappearance of a child the most obvious explanation would be that they have something that suggests it’s worth looking for a body,” said Peter Kirkham, who worked on numerous homicide investigations during his 21-year police career.
“Clothes last quite a significant amount of time in some form and things like buttons and zips last indefinitely. Weapons last pretty much for centuries,” he added. “But if you said to me the police were digging a large open space, then 99 times out of 100 I would say to you they will be looking for a body.”                                      READ MORE

Pelosi: Democrats Must Form Half of the Benghazi Committee

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) declared Tuesday that Democrats must constitute half of the Special Committee to investigate Benghazi.
Pelosi gave more details in a statement released Tuesday morning:
“The panel should be equally divided between Democrats and Republicans as is done on the House Ethics Committee. It should require that witnesses are called and interviewed, subpoenas are issued, and information is shared on a bipartisan basis. Only then could it be fair.”   READ MORE

The Benghazi attacks were a tragedy, we mourn the loss of 4 brave Americans. If the House review is to be fair, it must truly be bipartisan.

Islam is one of the most destructive forces in the history of civilization. It uses the power of religion to control, oppress, and enslave millions of people around the globe. It’s the leading cause of sexual assault, abuse of women, religious intolerance, and the violation of human rights. This is part of the reason NC recently banned Sharia law.
Unfortunately, we live in a “politically correct” society where people aren’t “allowed” to stand up and point out what should be obvious about Islam. That’s one reason Islamic forces seem to be picking up speed — few people are willing to do the socially unacceptable thing and challenge it.
Thankfully, this seems to be changing. Just recently, Rev. Franklin Graham — the son of Billy Graham — took on sharia law and Islam. Now, it looks like a Navy SEAL did the same thing at a political conference, according to a video now going viral.

“They are intent on killing the American dream by giving it away, surrendering it, by funding the Muslim Brotherhood and Arab Spring…”
Regardless of their reasoning, this is happening. Obama turns a blind eye to the oppression of Christians around the world, and yet dumps weapons on the Muslim Brotherhood and the allies of Al Qaeda. If it’s politically incorrect to point this out, then it’s time to be politically incorrect.

WHAT RECOURSE DO WE HAVE ? IF THE WHITE HOUSE WON'T ANSWER TO CONGRESS,........THEN WHAT ?

Carney Refuses to Answer Whether WH Will Comply with Benghazi Special Committee
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney trivialized the newly announced Special Committee to investigate Benghazi claiming "the facts of yesterday are the facts of today."
Carney accused Republicans of creating a conspiracy theory where none exists. There have been "25,000 plus pages of documents, many briefings, much testimony, and all have failed to provide Republicans with what they want politically," he claimed.
"The facts begin not to matter to those who fervently want to believe in something else," Carney stated.
He failed to directly answer whether or not the White House would comply with the Special Committee.
"You're saying it without saying it," one reporter accused.
"We have a long history of cooperating with legitimate oversight by Congress...I'm not going to go further than that," Carney repeatedly said, defaulting to the statement after repeated questioning on the subject.

Angler discovers the fish he caught has a live green tree frog in its mouth; photo from Z-Man Lures Australia’s Facebook page
Fishermen often lament losing a prized catch with a story about “the one that got away,” but a fisherman in Australia had a different twist on the common fishing phrase. He tells the story about the one that got away from the fish.
Angus James was removing the lure from the jungle perch he had just caught so he could release it back into the water when he noticed a live green tree frog looking up at him from deep inside the fish’s throat.
“I was shocked,” James told News Limited in Australia. “I thought it might have been grass at first, then it blinked. I always carry a camera, so I took the pic and then he jumps out.”

THE RAID.........

Three years after killing Osama, America is still haunted by Pakistan. So am I.By   May 04, 2014

We never reached the school. Instead, we made a U-turn and returned to Islamabad before being dispatched to Abbottabad, where The Story, the one reporters across the region kept renewing their Pakistani visas for, was finally unfolding. We spent days roaming outside the al Qaeda chief’s compound, interviewing neighbors, dodging checkpoints and trying to stay ahead of Pakistani intelligence agents.
Yet, despite our best efforts, security officials never let us inside Bin Laden’s house. Key details about what had happened there came instead out of Washington, often through unnamed sources. And after what seemed to be an initial burst of credulity, many Pakistanis quickly latched on to conspiracy theories about what happened, and their amazement at the notion that the terrorist leader had lived among them morphed into anger over the U.S. intrusion on their soil.
It’s all just a drama—Osama never existed, some told us. “This is all so barack obama can get reelected,” one man said. Then, there was this gem: “Osama had a body double, and that’s who the U.S. killed.”

The Nightmare of a Defenseless America

Ironically, the blizzard of YJ-82X cruise missiles launched from the Chinese subs lying off the coast of Baja California crossed the beach directly over the SEAL training complex on Coronado. America had decided that its special forces were a cheap substitute for the less glamorous hardware and formations that had traditionally been the foundation of American military power. Now, those elite warriors watched helplessly as the missiles roared overhead north toward the two carriers berthed at North Island. The casualties would have been much higher if the Navy had been able to fully man the U.S.S. Carl Vinson and the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan. As it was, when the missiles tore into their hulls and exploded, only several hundred sailors died instead of thousands. Still, in a few moments, two of America’s nine carriers were twisted hulks spewing radioactive smoke. Another dozen Navy ships berthed at local bases were in flames. Only the people lining the downtown San Diego waterfront saw what was happening, though local TV camera crews were filming the carnage live. Their stations tried to upload the footage to the network satellites but they could not connect. The satellites were gone, knocked out by Russian ASAT missiles.

Benghazi: Judge Pirro Calls for Impeachment of barack obama

Judge Jeanine Pirro indicts barack obama for abrogation of duty and violation of his oath of office as Commander in Chief. Pirro cites the Benghazi cover-up as the biggest cover-up since Watergate.
What Judge Pirro has to say is right on the mark.  in spite of the fact that the majority of the U S citizens WANT Benghazi investigated, it will probably never happen because the obama regime doesn't care about the citizens or what WE may want. Everything boils down to the whims of a select few. Every day I read about more and more of our "rights" being taken away. America is on the fast track to becoming a dictatorship [if not already there]. The sad part is that unless you can do something like Bundy did in Arizona, and take a stand for what you believe is right, then there is nothing the average Joe can do. Who would stand with a little, old, unimportant man like me ? Worth being shot or arrested for ? I think not !

Heavenly! Grilled cheese sandwiches to be parachuted around NYC        5 hours ago

Eaters in the U.S. have become obsessed with various ways to track their food deliveries via mobile devices and a lucky few have even had drones deliver their dishes. But Australia’s newest delivery invention is a whole new concept: grilled cheese delivered by parachute, and it’s soon to hit New York City.

The term for this novel idea is “Jafflechuting,” because the Australian word for a grilled cheese is “jaffle.” (Gotta love Aussie lingo). A small number of Australians have had the chance to experience one of these flying sammies: about 500 grilled cheese sandwiches have been delivered this way since August 2013.
It seems pretty simple: Customers pay ahead via PayPal, then stand at a specified location (literally on an “X” marked on the ground) at a given time, and then catch their meal! Among the grilled cheese options are cheese and tomato and cheese and ham. Prices vary from $5-$7.
Adam Grant is one of the founders and he told Fast Company it’s not a money-making venture…they just do it for fun. We like how these Aussies have fun.
The Jafflechute team recently raised money to bring the enterprise to North America. They surpassed their goal of $5,000, and promise on their Facebook page to “put on the cheesiest show we can manage!” in New York City. It’s expected to land mid-May, though due to unpredictable weather patterns, the exact delivery dates are still up in the air (get it?).
While we're not exactly sure the integrity of the grilled cheese will hold up, it surely will make for a great foodie story.
Follow them on Twitter (@jafflechutes) to know when you can get your hands on a grilled cheese dropped from the sky.      VIDEO>>>>>  http://vimeo.com/77883476

Georgia College Campus on Lockdown After Shooting

A shooting at a college campus in Georgia left one person wounded and temporarily put the school on lockdown Monday afternoon, officials said.
The Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of shots fired at Paine College in Augusta, Ga., at about 1 p.m. ET.
Upon arrival, deputies met with several witnesses and one victim who sustained a non-life threatening injury.
The victim, who was alert and conscious, was transported to Georgia Regents University Hospital for medical treatment, officials said.

The shooter was still at large so the school was locked down, and people were told to steer clear of nearby streets, according to the sheriff's office.
According to local NBC affiliate WAGT, other locations, including a high school a middle school and an elementary school, were all on soft lockdown.
At about 3:45 p.m. ET, the lockdown was lifted, but campus security officials wouldn't give any information about whether or not there was a suspect in custody.
It was unclear whether the incident was related to a shooting that took place on Sunday at the campus.
In a statement, Paine College officials said the shooting on Sunday "involved non-Paine College students" who discharged a firearm in a male dorm. Police are investigating.

Supreme Court Upholds Prayer at Public Meetings        By Pete Williams

Government meetings can include an opening prayer without running afoul of the Constitution, the Supreme Court said Monday.
The court ruled in favor of the town of Greece, N.Y., a Rochester suburb that has opened its monthly public meetings with a Christian prayer since 1999. Two residents, one Jewish and the other atheist, claimed that because the prayers were almost always Christian, the practice amounted to government endorsement of a single faith.
The Supreme Court last considered the issue of government prayer in 1983, ruling that the Nebraska legislature did not violate the Constitution by opening its sessions with a prayer from a Presbyterian minister.
But the challengers in the New York case argued that the meetings of the Greece town board were different, because members of the public who sought action from the board were legally required to attend and were not simply part of a passive audience — drawing attention to themselves if they declined to participate in a prayer that was contrary to their beliefs.
Justice Anthony Kennedy, writing for the majority, said the prayers are ceremonial and in keeping with the nation's traditions. "The inclusion of a brief, ceremonial prayer as part of a larger exercise in civic recognition suggests that its purpose and effect are to acknowledge religious leaders and the institutions they represent, rather than to exclude or coerce nonbelievers," Kennedy said.
Justice Elena Kagan, in a dissent for the court's four liberal justices, said the case differs significantly from the 1983 decision because "Greece's town meetings involve participation by ordinary citizens, and the invocations given — directly to those citizens — were predominantly sectarian in content."
The town had the support of 23 states, 119 members of the U.S. Senate and House, and the Obama administration. They noted that the tradition of legislative prayer began with the very first session of Congress.
