“According to the Journal, the administration claims to ‘offer immigrant families that were separated during the Trump administration around $450,000 a person in compensation’,” Tucker read. “The U.S. Department of Justice, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, considering payments that could amount to close to $1 million per family. A million dollars per family for illegal aliens at exactly the moment that American families are becoming noticeably poorer by the day.”

“You won’t be surprised to learn according to the paper that nearly a thousand reparations claims have already been filed. Why not?” he continued. “The total payout from this, more than a billion dollars.”

“So, how much is that exactly? Let’s see. If you are an American citizen who was killed in a war defending your country, our government promises to send your family a hundred thousand dollars,” Tucker said. “That is less than a quarter that Joe Biden intends to give illegal aliens for the inconvenience of being deported.”

“It’s more than any ordinary American ever gets for anything from the U.S. government,” Tucker added. “Most people just give. Foreigners with no respect for our laws or systems, meanwhile, are hitting the jackpot.”

The Bakken Formation: A basic explanation

The Bakken formation in North Dakota and Montana has generated a lot of buzz in the past year. Reserve numbers in the billions of barrels, even tens or hundreds of billions show up in press reports and blogs. Now the USGS has weighed in with a comprehensive assessment of the resource. So just how much will this oil accumulation help the world’s largest importer of oil? Is it time to relax or is this just another small blip in the long-term decline of domestic production? We’ll examine these questions and others below the fold, using data from the IHS database.

Overview of the Bakken

The Bakken is one of many hydrocarbon producing formations in the Williston Basin, a sedimentary basin covering parts of three states and two provinces. The total layer of sediments in the basin can be up to 15,000 ft thick, and within that, the Bakken itself reaches a maximum thickness of about 150 ft., but is thinner in most areas. The depth to the top of the Bakken can vary from a few thousand feet in Canada to more than 10,000 feet in the deeper areas in North Dakota. In terms of geologic age, it was deposited during the upper Devonian and Lower Mississippian periods about 360 million years ago. The entire stratigraphic column for the Williston Basin is shown below. Figure 2 indicates 15 primary producing formations in the basin, including the Bakken.

Teen Facing 3 Murder Charges Allowed To Post Bail, Attend School While Pending Trial   Holly Matkin

Houston, TX – An immigrant facing three counts of murder was allowed to bail out of jail and was given permission to attend school while his trial is pending.

Ahmedal Tayeb Elnouman Modawi, 17, is not a U.S. citizen and is originally from Sudan, FOX News reported.

He has lived in Houston with his family for the past five years, according to KPRC.

Investigators said Modawi was working as a valet on Oct. 1 when officers tried to pull him over in a parking lot as he was doing donuts in a client’s white Infiniti G37.

The teen refused to stop and sped away, slamming into three other valets in the process, FOX News reported.

He ended up flipping the client’s vehicle and crashed into a fence, injuring himself and a passenger he had in the car.

The 16-year-old passenger was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries to both legs, according to KPRC.

Modawi broke his leg in the collision.

The valets Modawi hit were pronounced dead at the scene, FOX News reported.

They were identified as 18-year-old Fnan Measho, 22-year-old Eric Orduna, and 23-year-old Nick Rodriguez.

He posted bail over the weekend.

The judge also agreed to let Modawi go to church and school while he awaits his next court hearing on Dec. 15, FOX News reported.

In a controversial passage in Plato's "Republic," Socrates introduced the idea of the "noble lie" ("gennaios pseudos").

A majestic fiction, he says, could sometimes serve society by persuading uninformed citizens of something good for them.

Ever since, many prevaricators have used the excuse that they lied for the common good.

Take Dr. Anthony Fauci, our point man on the COVID-19 epidemic.

Fauci misled the country about mask-wearing during the pandemic by claiming they were of little use. But he argued that he lied so the public would not make a run on masks, deplete the supply, and thus rob medical professionals of protective equipment.

Fauci also told "noble" lies about the likely percentage of the public needing to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. He kept raising the bar -- from 60 percent to 70 percent to 75 percent to 80 percent, to 85 percent.

Apparently, Fauci feared a lower figure, even if accurate, might lull people into complacency about getting inoculated.

Fauci also lied about his own role in routing U.S. aid money to subsidize gain-of-function viral research at the Wuhan virology lab -- the likely birthplace of COVID-19.

Either Fauci was hiding his own culpability, or he believed the American people might not be able to fully accept that some of their own health officials were promoting the sort of research that was partially responsible for more than 700,000 American deaths.

A Virginia judge ruled on Monday that a male student at Loudoun County’s Stone Bridge High School is guilty of sexually assaulting a female student in a girls’ bathroom in May.

While gender fluidity was not raised during the hearing, court documents confirm the male suspect was wearing a skirt when the assault took place, reports Yahoo! News, adding that the female victim testified in court that she was violently coerced into performing sexual acts.

The male student, a 14-year-old boy, was later arrested in connection to the case on two counts of forcible sodomy, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said, according to a report by WUSA9.

The teen suspect was found guilty on all charges, reports WJLA 7News I-Team. Sentencing for the student will happen in November, but only after a Loudon County Judge determines the outcome of the second set of charges against the same student involving sexual battery at Broad Run High School.

After the assault at Stone Bridge High School, the male student was transferred to Broad Run, where he allegedly assaulted a second female student in early October.

The victim’s family attorney, Bill Stanley of The Stanley Law Group, released a statement on behalf of the family on Monday, stating, “We are relieved that justice was served today for the Smith’s daughter.”

“This horrible incident has deeply affected the Smith family, and they are grateful for today’s outcome,” the statement added.

Around the time of the sexual assault in the girls’ bathroom, the Loudoun County School Board was concerning itself with a policy that would give students who believe they are the opposite sex access to school facilities, groups, and sports teams of their biological counterparts.

In June, Scott Smith, the father of the victim, went to a Loudoun County school board meeting looking for answers after his daughter was assaulted. A heated exchange ensued at the meeting, and Smith was arrested for obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct.

Hundreds of parents were also present to voice their concerns about the district’s transgender policy and Critical Race Theory (CRT). The school board eventually voted 7-2 to approve the transgender-related policy.

Earlier this month, Scott Ziegler, the superintendent of the embattled Loudoun County Public Schools, admitted that the school district “failed” to provide a safe environment for its students.

Ziegler’s comments were in response to local parents outraged over how reports of the two sexual assaults were handled inside schools. Following the superintendent’s statement, board member Beth Barts — who previously targeted parents who are against Critical Race Theory in schools — resigned from her position.

DC Police Were Warned About Jan. 6 As Early As 2020, Documents Reveal  MADELINE DOVI   October 27, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. — United States Park Police were warned as early as Dec. 2020 that there was potential for an uprising at the Capitol on Jan. 6, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) was monitoring demonstrations leading up to the riots, newly released court documents have revealed.

The documents were released in response to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch in May, after U.S. Park Police previously denied a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in March for all records related to the Jan. 6 insurrection.

In the days leading up to the attack, the department reportedly knew that the Jan. 6 event “would not be like any of the previous protests held in 2020,” and were aware that white supremacist and armed militia groups were going to cause a “strong potential for violence,” according to a Jan. 26 statement by Acting Police Chief Yoganda D. Pittman

The Jan. 4 arrest of Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio drew concern from officials, primarily because Tarrio allegedly “kept the more violent factions of the Proud Boys ‘under control’ during recent demonstrations in the District,” according to notes from a Jan. 5 Park Police Daily Operational Snapshot.

Officials described the possibility of violence “likely” if opposing groups came into physical contact with each other, but dismissed the notion of any “pre-planned acts of violence by a specific individual(s) or groups,” according to the document.

The purpose of the Jan. 6 rally was described in part as being “to protest election integrity,” according to a Jan. 5 incident briefing obtained by Judicial Watch.

The FBI and Information Operations Center (IOC) was tracking multiple events, including the Freedom Rally, Wild Protest, Jericho March and Save America Rally, according to a Jan. 6 situation report.

“This group has significant potential to attract counter-protesters, similar to events in November and December 2020. Multiple acts of violence have occurred in the downtown Washington, DC area during and after similar events hosted by the same organizer,” the report reads.

The FBI forwarded the report to Park Police Capt. Michael Libby, who told colleagues that there were approximately “200+ Proud Boys” on Capitol grounds and that the police were “monitoring the groups’ movements through the city,” according to the report.

Capitol Police reportedly deployed all available personnel and activated its SWAT team to prepare for the attack, but when USCP Chief of Police Steven Sund requested the National Guard and urged declaring a state of emergency, the Capitol Police Board denied the request.

During the riots, 1,200 Capitol Police personnel were on the grounds, but lacked adequate crowd-control equipment and clear direction from leadership to quell the “tens of thousands of insurrectionists,” according to Pittman. (RELATED: Capitol Police Apologize For Failures During Capitol Riot)

The newly released records show that D.C. police were made well aware of the potential for violence on Jan. 6 as early as Dec. 2020.

Officials broke up a fight involving members of the Proud Boys, a white supremacist group, on Dec. 12, 2020 during a 2000-person rally on the Washington Monument grounds, according to the situation report.

A MPD Homeland Security Bureau official told Capitol Police and Park Police colleagues in a Dec. 19 email that he “hoped” that an announcement about an upcoming pro-Trump rally on Jan. 6 was a “hoax.”

A Lieutenant of the MPD Special Operations Branch messaged colleagues on Dec. 22, “Well, here we go again. I am sure you are aware of the First Amendment demonstrations to occur again on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021; hopefully it will not be as big as the November 14th or December 12, 2020 weekend.”

Park Police expressed concern that “individuals may display aggressive and desperate behavior as they interpret 6 January as their final opportunity to act on their grievances,” in a Dec. 28 executive brief. “We are aware that many members of the far-right group ‘Proud Boys’ plan on being in Washington on this date.”

The report referenced the Dec. 25 Nashville, TN, bombing as a “vivid reminder as to the despair and the dedication to act that exists from a small minority of individuals” regarding political outcomes, according to the document.

At the time of the report’s release, the motive of the attack was unknown, but the document stated that there were social media posts conspiring that “election data stored at the AT&T building was targeted by the bomber.”

The FBI concluded in their investigation of the incident that the bomber, Anthony Quinn Warner, suffered from psychological issues and was a longtime conspiracy theorist, but had no “broader ideological motive to use violence to bring about social or political change.”

“These previously hidden documents show that federal law enforcement was both closely monitoring the First Amendment-protected activities of Americans and had plenty of warning there would be a huge crowd at the US Capitol on January 6,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

At least 20 people were arrested during the protest, a police source said.

Days after the mayor announced that all government employees except for jail staff will need to receive a vaccine shot by Friday or be placed on unpaid leave, about 5,000 incensed demonstrators marched over the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan.

Many carried American flags, chanting, “F–k de Blasio” and “We will not comply!”

Some protesters wore NYPD and FDNY shirts, and several hoisted Gadsden “Don’t Tread on Me” flags, while others took to the extreme of wearing yellow stars of David to compare the inoculation requirement to Nazi Germany’s persecution of Jews.

“Now, [after] working after countless of emergencies — Hurricane Sandy, the snowstorms … I am under threat. We are under threat of losing our livelihood for simply retaining the choice of protecting our bodies,” fumed firefighter Sofia Medina after the crowd reached City Hall.

       Johannes Josephus Marinus Velterop, a liberal science publisher and verified Twitter user, promoted a conspiracy theory on Friday where he suggested that a Trump supporter secretly placed live ammunition into a prop gun which liberal actor and co-producer Alec Baldwin use to kill cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

The liberal extremist said the alleged Trump supporter wanted revenge on Baldwin for continuously making fun of Trump on Saturday Night Live.

“Might the prop gun have been secretly loaded with real bullets by a Trump supporter, to punish Alec Baldwin for his Trump parodies?” said Velterop. “Should be a line of inquiry.”

After receiving harsh criticism, Velterop doubled down, saying that Trump supporters were mad because his conspiracy theory hits “too close to the bone.”

“Why is it only MAGA-types that vehemently dismiss this as one of the possible causes?” he wrote. “Too close to the bone?”

“[By the way], I do hope it was just an accident, but it’s America after all,” Velterop added.

According to a top Pentagon official, ISIS-K could be ready to attack the west in six months due to President Joe Biden’s incompetence.

The comments were made during a Senate Armed Services Committee testimony with undersecretary of defense for policy Colin Kahl who declared that ISIS-K would be ready to attack in 6 months to a year while al-Qaeda will be ready to attack in one to two years.

“We could see ISIS-K generate that capability in somewhere between six or 12 months, according to current assessments [from the intelligence community],” Kahl said. “And for al Qaeda, it would take a year or two to reconstitute that capability. We have to remain vigilant against that possibility.”

Kahl also noted that the United States didn’t know if the Taliban would be able to counter the threat of ISIS-K.

“It is our assessment that the Taliban and ISIS-K are mortal enemies. So, the Taliban is highly motivated to go after ISIS-K. Their ability to do so, I think, is to be determined,” Kahl said.

 Historians who have studied the decline and fall of great modern empires must be queasy these days.

Many have chronicled how a once mighty China lost its sovereignty to colonial powers during the early years of the 20^th Century. Their enfeebled empress and a humbled military were swept aside by a European coalition of nations only to find that China was to become the bloody prize of Japanese generals whose forces raped and massacred their way to Beijing.

The West may not remember this "sideshow" of World War II and many Japanese still decline to acknowledge their legacy, but the Chinese remember.

They remember as they fly their latest generation of stealth fighters. They remember as they build an additional 100 ICBM silos. They remember as they create artificial islands in the Pacific to house missiles capable of targeting American aircraft carriers. They remember as they test hypersonic cruise missiles. They remember as they launch hypersonic missiles that can orbit the Earth, carry a nuclear warhead, and stay suspended at a low orbit until a decision to strike. And they remember as they launch manned space missions to create an orbiting space station that may well be capable of military activity.

Oblivious Biden Asks Question He Should Be Answering: 'What Are We Doing? This Is the United States of America!'    By Randy DeSoto  October 26, 2021

Biden, perhaps unwittingly, asked the question of the hour recently as he pitched his Build Back Better government spending plan: “What are we doing?”

To a crowd in Scranton, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, he said, “What are we doing? This is the United States of America, dam***!”

He repeated the question Monday in New Jersey, saying, “What are we doing? What in God’s name are we doing?”

Biden’s context was arguing that America was falling behind the world, and therefore, Congress needed to pass trillions in new government spending to catch up.

Regardless of the context, his question is a good one that he should be asking himself.

A majority of Americans believe the 46th president is not doing his job well, and they have strong reasons to feel this way.

Gallup reported the president’s approval rating dropped from 56 percent in the first quarter of this year to 44.7 percent in the third quarter, an 11.3 percent drop, the largest registered of any president since World War II.

“This 11-point decline is larger than any prior president registered between his first and third quarters, although it is similar to those for the last three Democratic presidents — Barack Obama (10 points), Clinton (seven points) and Carter (nine points),” the firm reported.

When one considers the litany of self-made crises this president has overseen, it truly is astounding.

Recall the slew of executive orders issued on Day 1, which among other things, canceled the Keystone XL pipeline and halted oil exploration on federal lands just as the U.S. had reached energy independence during the Trump years.

Then came the debacle in Afghanistan in August, which cost 13 American service members and dozens more Afghans their lives.

Further adding to the failure, Biden left scores of U.S. citizens and Afghan allies behind when he ordered the arbitrary pullout of American forces by the hard deadline of Aug. 31.

Viewing it from a macro level, America’s performance in the face of the Taliban can only serve to embolden China and Russia to flex their muscles in places like Taiwan and Ukraine respectively.

Economically, Biden and the Democrats appear to be doing everything they can to undo the strong foundation laid by Trump and the Republicans.

Then came the debacle in Afghanistan in August, which cost 13 American service members and dozens more Afghans their lives.

The unemployment rate hit a 50-year low in 2020 following the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which passed during the first year of Trump’s presidency.

Of course, the rate regrettably spiked to 14.8 percent during the COVID shutdowns in the spring of 2020, but it was back down to 6.3 percent by January of this year when Trump left office, despite the pandemic restrictions still in place, particularly in blue states.

Though the nation was well on its ways to recovery, Democrats passed and Biden signed into law the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan (with no Republican support), which extended enhanced unemployment benefits and monthly child tax credit payments.

These payments have no doubt kept many potential workers on the sidelines and helped send inflation to the highest levels in decades.

Now Biden is promoting his human infrastructure legislation, also known as Build Back Better, with big ticket items, like taxpayer-funded pre-K, rental assistance payments, free community college, paid family and sick leave, expanded health care benefits, enhanced child tax credits and climate change initiatives.

It would be the largest expansion of the entitlement state since the Great Society of the 1960s and the largest tax increase since that time too, according to the Tax Foundation.

Increasing taxes makes no sense while America and the world continue to recover economically from the COVID pandemic.

The Build Back Better proposal also comes while the U.S. was already running nearly $1 trillion deficits prior to the pandemic, as the nation struggles to pay for existing entitlements, like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Biden asked the right question, but it needs to be directed his way: What are you doing, Mr. President?
