WASHINGTON — That the exact contents of the Nunes memo — a classified document apparently claiming the FBI engaged in "shocking" surveillance abuses have remained officially secret even as it is available to all House members to view is remarkable in Washington.

Its author, Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and some of his Republican colleagues on the House Intelligence Committee want to declassify it, and may vote to do so as soon as Monday. The White House says it supports "full transparency." The Justice Department, on the other hand, says that to make it public without its review and possible redactions would be "extraordinarily reckless." And Democrats accuse Nunes of trying to derail special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russia's influence in the 2016 election and whether it worked with the Trump campaign.

In its opening language, the memo says that its purpose is to brief lawmakers on the findings of the Intelligence Committee's investigation into actions by the Justice Department and the FBI, according to a Democrat familiar with the document; the actions had to do with an application for a warrant under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act in connection with Mueller's investigation.

But, the Democrat said, "there is no investigation" in the usual sense of the word — no fact-finding mission by the full committee, with witnesses and the usual trappings. An FBI agent fatally shot a bound kidnap victim on Thursday during a predawn raid meant to rescue the man from his captors at a home in Houston.

An FBI agent fatally shot a bound kidnap victim on Thursday during a predawn raid meant to rescue the man from his captors at a home in Houston, The Houston Chronicle and other media reported.

Few details including the deceased man's identity and the motive for the kidnapping were released. A spokesperson for the Houston bureau of the FBI was not immediately available for comment.

The victim was abducted from his home Wednesday in Conroe, Texas, a suburb 40 miles (64 km) north of Houston, the paper reported. He was held in a home in the city's Trinity Gardens neighborhood, media reports said.

The Chronicle reported that the man's brother was called on the phone by someone claiming to be with a cartel and asked to pay a ransom, and the police and FBI were alerted.

FBI spokeswoman Christina Garza said that an agent shot the man shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday and the man later died at the hospital, The Dallas Morning News reported. Garza gave few other details at an afternoon press conference citing an ongoing investigation.

Two men and one woman were arrested on felony kidnapping and other charges and the investigation is ongoing. The FBI agent who shot the man was placed on administrative leave, Garza said at a press conference, media reports say. (Editing by Matthew Mpoke Bigg)

John Kerry Encourages Radical Islamists To Resist Trump

Former Secretary of State John Kerry has picked up what appears to be a pro-bono consulting gig for the anti-Semitic Holocaust denier who serves as president of the Palestinian Authority.

These comments should come as no surprise to pro-Israel observers. As secretary of state, Kerry took every opportunity to publicly castigate the Jewish state, while ignoring the very real atrocities being committed by rogue nations worldwide.

Days before ending his tenure as secretary of state, Kerry falsely claimed that Israel’s center-right coalition is led by “extremist settlers” and said Israel had no interest in peace with the Palestinians. In a long-winded speech, Kerry promoted a moral equivalence between the free, democratic Israel and terror-supporting Palestinian entities.

Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd told House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes in a letter Wednesday that releasing a memo prepared by the committee's staff alleging abuses at the Department of Justice and FBI would be "extraordinarily reckless."

Republicans have been urging for the release of the memo, which, as Boyd pointed out, likely contains highly classified information. In the letter, obtained by CBS News, Boyd highlights how crucial it is that the committee not release the memo to the public for reasons of national security. The memo describes the FBI's supposed abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

"We believe it would be extraordinarily reckless for the committee to disclose such information publicly without giving the department and the FBI the opportunity to review the memorandum and to advise the (committee) of the risk of harm to national security and to ongoing investigations that could come from public release," Boyd wrote. "Indeed, we do not understand why the committee would possibly seek to disclose classified and law enforcement sensitive information without first consulting with the relevant members of the intelligence community."

Instead, Boyd, on behalf of the DOJ, renewed a previous request from the FBI director that the department have the opportunity to review the memo in question before any public release. Alternatively, Boyd suggested that Nunes offer the memo to its watchdog, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz.

"His office would appropriately investigate any alleged wrongdoing by the FBI or other department personnel and independently assess whether prior public release of the memorandum would impair its ability to do so," Boyd said.

Also copied on the letter were Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-California, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-South Carolina, Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr, R-North Carolina, and Senate Intelligence Committee Vice-Chairman Mark Warner, D-Virginia.

The DOJ and FBI have come under intense scrutiny from some Republicans and the president himself, amid the ongoing investigation into Russian election meddling and any ties to the Trump campaign. Mr. Trump late Wednesday said he is looking forward to an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller, and would be willing to testify under oath.

I do not understand how living in a country with its democracy established over 200 years ago, and now, for the first time in history, suddenly we have one of our former presidents set up a group called "Organizing for Action" (OFA).
OFA is 30,000+ strong and working to disrupt everything that our current president’s administration is trying to do. This organization goes against our Democracy, and it is an operation that will destroy our way of governing. It goes against our Constitution, our laws, and the processes established over 200 years ago. If it is allowed to proceed then we will be living in chaos very much like third world countries are run. What good is it to have an established government if it is not going to be respected and allowed to follow our laws?

If you had an army some 30,000 strong and a court system stacked over the decades with judges who would allow you to break the laws, how much damage could you do to a country? We are about to find out in America!

Our ex-president said he was going to stay involved through community organizing and speak out on the issues and that appears to be one post-administration promise he intends to keep. He has moved many of his administration's top dogs over to Organizing for Action.

OFA is behind the strategic and tactical implementation of the resistance to the Trump Administration that we are seeing across America, and politically active courts are providing the leverage for this revolution.

OFA is dedicated to organizing communities for "progressive" change. Its issues are gun control, socialist healthcare, abortion, sexual equality, climate change, and of course, immigration reform.

OFA members were propped up by the ex-president's message from the shadows: "Organizing is the building block of everything great we have accomplished Organizers around the country are fighting for change in their communities and OFA is one of the groups on the front lines. Commit to this work in 2017 and beyond."

OFA's website says it obtained its "digital" assets from the ex-president's re-election effort and that he inspired the movement. In short, it is the shadow government organization aimed at resisting and tearing down the Constitutional Republic we know as AMERICA.

Paul Sperry, writing for the New York Post, says, “The OFA will fight President Donald Trump at every turn of his presidency and the ex-president will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House."

Sperry writes that, “The ex-president is setting up a shadow government to sabotage the Trump administration through a network of non-profits led by OFA, which is growing its war chest (more than $40 million) and has some 250 offices nationwide. The OFA IRS filings, according to Sperry, indicate that the OFA has 32,525 (and growing) volunteers nationwide. The ex-president and his wife will oversee the operation from their home/ office in Washington DC.

Think about how this works.. For example: Trump issues an immigration executive order; the OFA signals for protests and statements from pro-immigrant groups; the ACLU lawyers file lawsuits in jurisdictions where activist judges obstruct the laws; volunteers are called to protest at airports and Congressional town hall meetings; the leftist media springs to action in support of these activities; the twitter sphere lights up with social media; and violence follows. All of this happens from the ex-president's signal that he is heartened by the protests.

If Barack Obama did not do enough to destroy this country in the 8 years he was in office, it appears his future plans are to destroy the foundation on which this country has operated on for the last 241 years.

If this does not scare you, then we are in worse trouble than you know.

So, do your part. You have read it, so at least pass this on so others will know what we are up against. We are losing our country and we are so compliant. We are becoming a "PERFECT TARGET" for our enemy!

GOP lawmaker: ‘Something’s Not Adding Up’ On Las Vegas Shooting – The Hill

A GOP lawmaker on Thursday night disputed local and federal investigators’ claim that October’s Las Vegas shooting was not a terrorist incident.

“I smell a rat like a lot of Americans. Nothing’s adding up,” Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) said on Fox News’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“It’s been four months, as you said, the man’s dead, they said he’s a lone gunman, lone shooter, yet we can’t get the autopsy results,” Perry continued.

“But even more troubling than that, I’ve been made aware of what I believe to be credible evidence, credible information, regarding terrorist infiltration through the southern border regarding this incident,” he said.

Perry did not share what information he was privy to, but said the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) warned multiple times last year it would attack Las Vegas, then took credit for the attack…
