This Cartoon Shows How the Minimum Wage Works         By Kelly-Apr 27, 2021   By Mark J. Perry, emerican Enterprise Institute

Today’s news from the White House is that President Joe Biden will continue his push for a national $15 minimum wage with an executive order that raises pay to at least that level for hundreds of thousands of federal contract workers, according to senior White House officials. The move will increase the current minimum wage of $10.95 by nearly 37% by March of next year and continue to tie future increases to inflation. It will apply to federal workers from cleaning and maintenance staff to food service contractors and laborers, sweeping in tipped workers who were previously left out of the last increase under former President Barack Obama.

The cartoon below illustrates an important, but overlooked fact about the minimum wage and labor markets: Workers compete against other workers, not against employers, for jobs and higher wages. The low-skilled worker below (ex-bus driver Otto Mann on the Simpsons) is willing to work for $8 an hour to help Morris “Moe” Szyslak clean his bar but loses that job opportunity to a more skilled worker/bartender when Moe is forced to pay workers a minimum of $15 an hour due to government fiat (“political wage-setting”).

Black Lives Matter Rioters Invaded The Capitol  Apr 21, 2021  The Liberty Revolution

( Democrats might soon need to walk back their claims that the January 6 Capitol Riots were a violent insurrection, now that Black Lives Matter protesters invaded the Oklahoma Capitol building while the state House of Representatives were in session.

It’s exactly what happened in Washington, D.C. on January 6, and so far the national media and the Democrats are ignoring it – presumably because they know if more people knew about it, their hypocrisy would be exposed.

Video clips and photographs show how protesters in Oklahoma on April 21 poured into the Capitol building and filled a gallery on the fifth floor, chanting “Black Lives Matter” as the state legislators were in session.

Because of their intimidating behavior, the House was forced to go into lockdown – and not the COVID kind of lockdown – to protect legislators from potential violence.

Well...Biden turned the "border crisis" over to Harris, but she has yet to even visit the border to at least SEE what's going on down there.....

Tara Reade Fires Back After Pelosi Says Congress ‘Stands With Survivors’ During Sexual Assault Awareness Month BY LIFEZETTE APRIL 27, 2021 THEPOLITICALINSIDER.COM

Tara Reade, the former Senate staffer who came forward last year to claim that Joe Biden sexually assaulted her when she was working for him back in 1993, is firing back at Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for her tweet in which she claimed that she “stands with survivors” of sexual assault.
Pelosi Marks Sexual Assault Awareness Month

It all started on Monday, when Pelosi took to Twitter to mark Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which ends later this week on the last day of April.

“As we close out Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we recommit to combating sexual violence & demanding accountability,” the Speaker wrote. “Congress stands with survivors and will honor their strength by working to advance a future that is free from violence & assault for all.”

Reade Fires Back

Reade fired back hours later by calling out Pelosi and her fellow Democrats for the lack of support they gave her when she came forward with her claims against Biden.

“Do you really @SpeakerPelosi stand with survivors?” Reade asked. “I was a former Senate Aide that was sexual assaulted by a member of the Senate who is now POTUS. I was silenced and denied justice by you and the Congress. You Madam Speaker did not stand with me. You are complicit with rape.”
Reade Sounds Off On Biden

Back in January, Reade opened up to Fox News about how hard it was to watch Biden be inaugurated, and to attack the Democratic Party for the way she was treated.

She said that watching Biden be inaugurated was “exceptionally hard on many levels, because the media, certain media outlets made it so clear that I was to be smeared, ignored, and erased. And they were pretty successful in doing so.”

“To watch this powerful man who I’ve worked for, who I had admired when I first worked for him and then later became horrified of what he did, to watch him ascend to the most powerful job in the world,” Reade continued. “I can’t really describe the feeling except I keep wanting to wake up from a nightmare.”

Reade Says Democrats Are ‘Complicit With Sexual Misconduct’

“The Democratic Party continues to be complicit with sexual misconduct. It will only shine a light on it when it’s a Republican or someone else,” she added.

“And until sexual misconduct is seen as non-partisan, institutionalized rape culture will stay in place and powerful men will continue to be able to get away with crimes,” Reade concluded. “And not only get away with it but be rewarded with more power.”

Tucker Carlson: These Are the Only People Who Still Voluntarily Wear Masks  Matt Vespa  @mvespa1 Posted: Apr 27, 2021

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has delivered the final blow to the COVID lockdown regime. The new study on the so-called six-feet apart rule was blown up. The indoor occupancy caps were also trashed. What about those insanely expensive air filtration units that teachers want to be installed before they venture out of their caves and start working again? Not necessary. Open windows, fans blowing, and a good circulation of fresh air is good enough. It doesn’t matter if you’re 60 feet away or 6 feet away from someone inside, you’re still at risk of contracting the virus, even with a mask on. It’s quite a sledgehammer to the entire Fauci-Democrat-Media COVID panic machine that’s been working nonstop to keep us in a constant state of fear (via CNBC):

Week's Viral Moment: House Hearing Descends Into Chaos During Jim Jordan/Val Demings Confrontation    Apr 25, 2021 Forbes Breaking News

Tucker Carlson reacts to the left's latest catchphrase  Apr 26, 2021   Fox News

'Tucker Carlson Tonight' host claims Democrats and the media are reading from the same script.

 Does This Sound Abusive?

My friends husband won't let her visit any friends or family. He has made her stop all contact with them unless it's on the phone or computer. He reads, monitors and often deletes things on social media.

He makes her feel like she's going crazy for thinking he's controlling, and that she is being ungrateful. (After all, he's only doing this because of how much he cares about her.)

He doesn't want her going to the gym anymore, so she doesn't go. He also doesn't let her go to work anymore (he told her to only rely on him for income and that he will take care of her).

She's not really allowed to go out anymore, unless it's for necessities, and when she does, he makes sure to have people guilt trip her about it and shame her for it.

He wants her to have this medical procedure done and tells her that if she does it, he will allow her more freedoms.

He constantly says he's only doing all of this because he cares... he is just doing it for her own good.

Oh wait....did I say husband? I meant the government.

My bad. You have been conditioned to be outraged if another person did this to their spouse, but be passive & compliant when it comes to our government."
