If the election was decided by the popular vote, than we would be swearing in a President Hillary Clinton.
But that’s not how it works. And – as he has said many time – if Donald Trump was campaigning for the popular vote, rather than the electoral vote, he would have campaigned much differently.
Perhaps he would have spent more time in California – a state that voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton.
But he didn’t and Hillary’s margin of victory in that state was 4.3 million votes – or 61.5 percent
And therein lies the rub.
The purpose of the Electoral College is to prevent regional candidates from dominating national elections.

Last week, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals declared that the Constitution of the United States required schools to allow boys who believe they are girls to use the girls’ restrooms. This would come as a shock to the people who wrote the Constitution, but so is most leftist jurisprudence these days.
The case follows on a US District Court ruling in Ohio from September in which the court issued an order to Highland Local School District to open its girls’ bathrooms to boys who believe they are girls. That court wrote, “The court orders School District officials to treat Jane Doe as the girl she is, including referring to her by female pronouns and her female name and allowing her to use the girls’ restroom at Highland Elementary School.” The judge, as Daniel Horowitz of Conservative Review notes, invoked the 14^th Amendment, stating, “[A]s a tiny minority of the population, whose members are stigmatized for their gender non-conformity in a variety of settings, transgender people are a politically powerless minority group.”

How? The courts see themselves as instruments of goodness and kindness, not as instruments of law. Even the laws of nature must bow before their preference for cosmic justice, imposed by man – or more specifically, by them. A friend of President-elect Donald Trump is standing by statements he made to an alternative weekly newspaper in Buffalo about President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, who he said he hopes “die” and get “let loose” in Africa.
Carl Paladino was among many people who told Artvoice their wishes for 2017, but the response of the New York developer and onetime candidate for New York Governor has stirred the most controversy by far. For 2017, Paladino said he wishes for President Obama to die of mad cow disease after “being caught having relations with a Herford,” referring to the Hereford cow breed.
The co-chair of Trump’s New York campaign also named the First Lady in his widely condemned comments. “I’d like her to return to being a male and let loose in the outback of Zimbabwe where she lives comfortably in a cave with Maxie, the gorilla,” Paladino said.

Paladino stood by his words in a statement to the Washington Post, denying that they were racist and rejecting the notion that they were bad for Trump. “It has nothing to do with race,” Paladino said. “It’s about 2 progressive elitist ingrates who have hated their country so badly and destroyed its fabric in so many respects in 8 years.”
Paladino also told the Post that he is “active” with the president-elect. “I don’t think Mr. Trump particularly cares what I have to say,” he said. “He knows me. I was active with him, and I still am active with him.”
A spokesperson for Trump denounced Paladino’s words in a statement reported by the New York Times. “Carl’s comments are absolutely reprehensible, and they serve no place in our public discourse,” said Trump spokesperson Jessica Ditto.
Others have denounced Paladino’s remarks, including New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who called the words “racist, ugly, and reprehensible” in a statement. “While most New Yorkers know Mr. Paladino is not to be taken seriously, as his erratic behavior defies any rational analysis and he has no credibility, his words are still jarring,” Cuomo said.
In several interviews after the release by Artvoice, Paladino has said he meant to cast light on the president’s “transgressions” and called them “old style humor.”
“I did it to wake people up; I did it to get people’s attention,” Paladino told the Times.

In a lengthy criticism of Democrats, Russia’s president advised Hillary Clinton’s supporters to accept their failure and stop scapegoating “external factors” like Russia for their defeat.
“They are losing on all fronts and looking elsewhere for things to blame,” he said during his annual end-of-year press conference Friday. “In my view this, how shall I say it, degrades their own dignity. You need to learn how to lose gracefully.”

“The Democratic Party lost not only the presidential elections, but elections in the Senate and Congress,” he said. “Did we do that, too?”

Putin accused Democrats of “shamelessly” abusing their status as the ruling party to try to influence public opinion.
“(We are talking about) a party which has clearly forgotten the original meaning of its own name,” he said. “Outstanding figures in American history from the ranks of the Democratic Party would likely be turning in their graves. Roosevelt certainly would be.”

Clinton told her top donors at a holiday party last week that Russia was responsible for Trump’s victory. She claimed Putin damaged her candidacy by hacking the Democratic National Committee in light of his longtime vendetta against her.
Putin said Democrats should have apologized to American voters over the information revealed by hackers who leaked Democratic National Committee e-mails.
“It’s not important who did the hacking,” he said. “It’s important that the information that was revealed was true. That is important,”
During the press conference, which reportedly went on for four hours, Putin also reiterated his interest in improving relations with the United States after Trump’s inauguration.

“Trump understood the mood of the people and kept going until the end, when nobody believed in him,” Putin said, smiling. “Except for you and me.”

Putin said Russia hopes to develop “businesslike and constructive relations that would benefit both Russia and the United States” and quoted a recent poll that claims one-third of Republicans view him favorably.
“It means that a significant part of the American people have the same perception about how the world should be developing,” he said. “It is good that people support us in this, in terms of traditional values.”

‘Debriefing The President: The Interrogation of Saddam Hussein’ tells the true story of the CIA interrogation of the world’s most wanted man; from first seeing him after he was pulled from his underground bunker to getting the truth about his regime and whether he was in possession of weapons of mass destruction or not.
Nixon writes that speaking to Hussein “turned our assumptions upside down.” When asked about his ownership of any weapons of mass destruction, the pretext for the US invasion into Iraq, Hussein’s response was ‘simply to mock’ the interrogators.
   
He allegedly said: “You found a traitor who led you to Saddam Hussein. Isn’t there one traitor who can tell you where the WMDs are?”, before adding: “Iraq is not a terrorist nation. We did not have a relationship with bin Laden, and did not have weapons of mass destruction and were not a threat to our neighbours. But the American President (George W. Bush) said Iraq wanted to attack his daddy and said we had ‘weapons of mass destruction’.”

Nixon goes on to write that this revelation shocked the entire team.

He also writes that Hussein denied any involvement in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, saying that he actually believed that Iraq and America would become closer after 9/11 as they would need help from his government to fight fundamentalism.

The Chilcot report, released earlier this year, found that British Prime Minister Tony Blair “deliberately exaggerated the threat posed by Hussein” and that there was no “imminent threat from Hussein.”

Thousands of British and US men and women died in the Iraq war, between 2003 and 2011, as well as thousands of Iraqi civilians.

While there are few actually confirmed details as of now, there's apparently a massive, star-studded "We The People" concert being planned for Miami on the day of Donald Trump's inauguration. The idea is to counter Trump's inauguration and garner higher television ratings than the swearing-in. Normally, the presidential inaugurals carry several a-list acts, but Trump has had issues booking artists to perform. So far, the only confirmed acts are Jackie Evancho (singing the National Anthem), the Rockettes, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

To add insult to injury, concert promoter Mark Ross is reportedly "in the process of putting together a large-scale concert called 'We the People' to directly complete with Donald Trump's inauguration," Politico reports. Ross doesn't have any performers announced yet, although a person familiar with the planning leaked that "the talent is banging on our doors to do this." Then again, the communications director for the Presidential Inaugural Committee, Boris Epshteyn, also bragged that "first class entertainers are eager to participate in the inaugural events," and we all know how that's going.

While artists and concert promoters are free to do whatever they'd like, this still strikes me as being rather petty. Donald Trump won the election and he was elected president of the United States. He will continue to be president of the United States even if nobody watches him be sworn in because they're too distracted by the likes of Madonna and Lady Gaga. A mega-concert cannot change the fact that he won more Electoral College votes than Hillary Clinton did.

The most in a single day by any president in U.S. history.Obama commuted the sentences of 153 people and pardoned 78 others, a sure indication of what’s to come in his final weeks in office. While many politicians have recently come against non-violent drug offense sentences,if Obama really believed in this, why did he wait so long?With today’s actions, Obama has doubled the number of people he has pardoned as president, according to the White House, bringing the total to 148. He commuted the sentences of 1,176
people, including 395 serving life sentences.

Obama has now granted clemency more times than any U.S. president.
After a bipartisan effort in Congress to overhaul the nation’s sentencing laws failed (do you see the pattern Obama=failure) in  2014, the president changed tactics and started his “clemency initiative.”

Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, Trump’s future attorney general, called the president’s initiative “an alarming abuse of the pardon power” at the time.
Obama based his initiative on the idea that these long drug sentences have had a disproportionate effect on communities of color.
Again, if he truly believed this why did he wait until now?

Far more than setting a new record for grants of clemency, Obama, by running from his true beliefs, set a new record for weakness.

Something needs to be done about this POS.....wants to disrupt the results of a legal election by himself, only dictating to the country what HE wants done. He wants a "resistance to authority" .........SEND HIM TO SYRIA.....Let him resist there, see how that works for him.

Instead of reanimating a Bush-era registration program, Trump will have to go back to square one.

For nine years, from 2002 to 2011, a version of one of Donald Trump’s most extreme proposals was standard US government policy: requiring certain people in the US on visas from Muslim-majority countries to register with the government.
President Barack Obama suspended the program in 2011 — after years of complaints by civil rights groups that the program targeted Muslims and wasn’t effective in preventing terrorism. But it had never been fully dismantled — it was still sitting around for the Trump administration to dust off.
Until now.
On Thursday, the Department of Homeland Security published a regulation that would totally get rid of the National Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS) — forcing the Trump administration to take the time to create something new, and giving civil-rights groups an opportunity to stop them.
The regulation goes into effect Friday, December 22 — well before President Trump is inaugurated. So when his administration takes office — if it’s serious about finding a way to register people from Muslim-majority countries in the US — it’s going to have to find another way to do it.

The 21-page warrant was released today, and it describes the “probable cause” FBI agents had to search the laptop of disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner:

[T]he warrant released Tuesday makes clear that FBI investigators believed Weiner’s laptop may have housed email correspondence between Clinton and an individual whose name was redacted. Because many of the previously-reviewed emails between Clinton and that person had been classified, agents argued the newly-discovered conversations could reasonably be expected to contain classified information as well.

Two months ago, the liberal media erupted in horror after the third presidential debate. Fox's Chris Wallace challenged Donald Trump on whether he would accept the result of the election, and Trump said he would wait and see. NBC described a "flood of condemnation" and cited President Obama accusing Trump of "(undermining) our democracy." "Today" co-host Savannah Guthrie called it an "earthquake."
Guthrie turned to retired anchorman Tom Brokaw to denounce Trump. He said: "This is not a banana republic. We've got more than 200 years of presidential elections and graceful and peaceful transitions to the new administration. As you saw, even Richard Nixon, Al Gore, the people who were caught up in very close races, said, 'I accept that this is the new president.'"
Trump won the election handily with 304 electoral votes, and Democrats flip-flopped, sullenly refusing to accept the results. And so did the "objective" media. On Dec. 18, there was no "earthquake" at NBC when Hillary Clinton aide John Podesta refused to say that President-elect Trump won a free and fair election. He said instead that it was rigged by the Russians.

President Obama has signed several executive orders the past eight years, most controversially his action to protect 4 million illegal immigrants from deportation (though the Supreme Court blocked it.) At the time, he seemed pleased with himself for being able to bypass Congress. Yet, the 44th president is now telling his successor not to follow his lead when it comes to enacting an ambitious agenda.
In an interview with NPR, Obama told President-elect Donald Trump to avoid executive action if he can help it.
“Going through the legislative process is always better in part because it’s harder to undo,” he said.
The president emphasized this point, arguing that he only went the route of executive orders after tirelessly trying to compromise with a Republican-held Congress. 
We compiled a list of Obama executive orders that Trump will have the opportunity to dismantle, as he vowed to do on the campaign trail.
Asked how Obama feels about that, he said, "That's part of the democratic process."

Could this be the end of Planned Parenthood?
Following an investigation into the practice of selling body parts of aborted babies and potentially breaking federal laws governing the practice, the Senate Judiciary Committee is recommending criminal charges for Planned Parenthood.
In a letter sent to the FBI and the Department of Justice on Tuesday, committee Chairman Chuck Grassley referred four of Planned Parenthood’s largest affiliates and three of the abortion provider’s business partners for potential prosecution.
Grassley said in a press release:

“I don’t take lightly making a criminal referral.  But, the seeming disregard for the law by these entities has been fueled by decades of utter failure by the Justice Department to enforce it. 
And, unless there is a renewed commitment by everyone involved against criminalizing the trade in aborted fetal body parts for profit, then the outcome is likely to continue.”

Nothing so epitomizes the politically correct gullibility of our times as the magic word "diversity." The wonders of diversity are proclaimed from the media, extolled in the academy and confirmed in the august chambers of the Supreme Court of the United States. But have you ever seen one speck of hard evidence to support the lofty claims?
Although diversity has become one of the leading buzzwords of our time, it has a history that goes back several generations. In the early twentieth century, the principle of geographic diversity was used to conceal bias against Jews in the admission of students to Harvard and other leading academic institutions.
Because the Jewish population was concentrated in New York and other east coast communities at that time, quota limits on how many Jewish students would be admitted were concealed by saying that Harvard wanted a diverse student body, consisting of students from around the country.
Therefore some highly qualified Jewish applicants could be passed over, in favor of less qualified applicants from the midwest or other regions of the country.

For months, Donald Trump has promised to defeat ISIS if he were elected.

In one speech, he said if elected, he would request from his generals a plan to beat ISIS and have it sitting on his desk within 30 days of taking office.
In other speeches, he has promised to work with any country who is willing to step in the ring to help defeat ISIS. He’s condemned our current leadership for accepting thousands of refugees without any vetting process.
And he’s promised to call ISIS what it is and not beat around the bush, unlike our current Muslim empathizer in chief. Obama certainly didn’t take ISIS seriously when they burst onto the scene back in 2009, calling them the JV team.
But Trump is not even considering the kid gloves for ISIS. He plans to annihilate that evil through whatever means necessary.
No wonder ISIS is upset! They had an easy go at it for years under Obama. There wasn’t even talk of winning under the ‘Bamster.
So the Islamic State in Syria has announced a welcome for Trump that sounds terrifying.
Called “Bloody Sunday”, ISIS plans to unleash hell the same day President-elect Trump takes office.
The British news outlet breaking the story has said ISIS has ramped up their efforts to bring English speakers into the mix so they can have more clear communication.
While the details aren’t clear of where it will happen, having English speakers implies it’s an effort that needs global communication.

O'Reilly: Anti-Electoral College effort about taking power from 'white establishment'

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly said efforts to abolish the Electoral College system are "all about race."

O'Reilly said on "The O'Reilly Factor" Tuesday night there is a "hidden reason" for liberals seeking to change the system.

"If the Electoral College were abolished, presidential candidates could simply campaign in the nation's largest cities, New York, L.A., Chicago, Houston," he said. "And rack up enough votes to pretty much win any election."

O'Reilly claimed Democrats wanted to campaign only in cities where "the minority vote usually goes heavily to the Democrats," effectively "neutralizing the largely white rural areas in the Midwest and the South."

"Very few commentators will tell you that the heart of liberalism in America is based on race," O'Reilly said. "It permeates almost every issue - that white men have set up a system of oppression and that system must be destroyed."

O'Reilly said that Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, and to some extent nominee Hillary Clinton, peddled the idea that "so-called white privilege bad, diversity good."

"The left sees white privilege in America as an oppressive force that must be done away with," he said.

Summing up his argument, O'Reilly said, "The left wants power taken away from the white establishment, and they want a profound change in the way America is run."

Calls to abolish the Electoral College have been mounting since Clinton lost the election to President-elect Donald Trump, despite winning nearly 3 million more votes than him. She ended up with a total of 227 Electoral College votes to his 304 - five electors who were supposed to vote for Clinton defected and voted for someone else on Monday, while two refused to cast their ballots for Trump.

“See, now, we are feeling what not having hope feels like,” Michelle commented. “You know. Hope is necessary. It’s a necessary concept and Barack didn’t just talk about hope because he thought it was just a nice slogan to get votes. He and I and so many believe, what else do you have when you do not have hope?”
Pirro did not take her entitled comments lightly.

“You lived a life few can even imagine at the citadel of power and prestige in the world,” she began in a recent segment. “You and your husband, blessed by God, and the American people, with the unique and historic opportunity to not only lead America from that shining place on the hill but impact Americans and give them hope virtually no others can. Now that you’re leaving, hope is gone?”
“Hope is when people, 30 thousand at a time stand in line in the cold with their children hoping to get a glimpse of a man they think can change the course of their lives from the downward spiral that you and mister hope and change have put them on,” she continued. “I’ll tell you what hope and change is. Hope and change is when people show up 20 thousand strong after an election — desperate to see the man who actually brought back jobs to almost a thousand people when your husband said it was impossible.”
