And, though Ukraine is not a member of NATO, Poland, the Baltic states, Hungary and the Czech Republic are. They need some shoring up. So Mr. Obama has sent Vice President Joe Biden to reassure the Poles.

This makes sense to President Obama because Joe Biden sat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for nearly forty years. Sending Joe Biden to Warsaw will impress the Russians, the president believes. Now, they will surely know that Obama means business. The president famously said of his veep: “nobody messes with Joe.”

The Georgia Senate passed a sweeping gun bill that will allow concealed carry in bars, airports (before TSA security checkpoints), places of worship of worship that ‘opt-in,’ and some government buildings.

HB60 (formerly called the Safe Carry Protection Act) is one of the “strongest Second Amendment bills to pass the House,” bill co-sponsor Rep. Dustin Hightower said in February. He was confident the legislation would pass the state Senate, and the 112-58 vote Thursday proved him right. READ MORE

If you heard loud screaming coming from the house next door, what would you think was happening there? Toe-curling sex, obviously. Murder, monsters, mayhem! Could be anything -- but whatever it is, you'd better call the police. And then you'd better hang out on your front porch to find out what's going on, you know, just in case there's a serial killer on the loose or something. Not because you've got a prurient, voyeuristic interest in your neighbor's misfortune or anything. So what do you tell the neighbors when you find out the screaming next door was actually the joyful squealing of a pig?

I think you know where we're going with this. A woman called the police when she heard screaming coming from a neighbor's house in Maine. But when the police arrived, they discovered the sound was coming from one extremely happy male pig that had just been put inside a pen with five sows in heat. What I was saying about the toe-curling sex? I guess I was right.

And it just goes to show, sometimes the line between ecstasy and agony can be very thin indeed. I wonder if the pig wasn't also a bit tortured over which sow to mate with first. The hottie with the brown speckles running down her back? The vixen with gray bristles? Or the shy gal with the pink ears batting her long lashes? Welp, no hurry. There's time for all the ladieeeeez.
I'm glad to hear no one was in real danger. No tragedy in this story! For once. And all joking about nosy neighbors aside, aren't you glad someone was willing to call the police when she heard what sounded like domestic abuse? AG Kane Hires Attorneys Claiming Possible Defamation by Philadelphia Inquier

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane has retained legal counsel to represent her in a potential defamation issue involving The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Philadelphia attorney Tom Sprague tells NBC10.com Kane hired him and his father, Dick Sprague, on Wednesday after a series of reports ran in The Inquirer this week regarding the AG's handing of a corruption investigation involving state lawmakers.

Earlier this week, Kane told NBC10 her office did nothing wrong and that the reports were "inaccurate and sensational," calling the paper's anonymous sources "cowardly."

Sprague and a source at the Inquirer confirm Kane and the attorneys visited the paper's editorial board on Thursday afternoon

During that meeting, which was scheduled before the attorneys were hired, Dick Sprague informed the editors that he and Kane are concerned about potential defamation issues related to their reporting.

Citing the defamation concerns, the attorney told the editors the attorney general would cease to answer any questions from the Inquirer, Tom Sprague confirmed.

The Inquirer ran a series of reports, the first of which was printed Sunday, questioning why Kane's office decided not to pursue criminal charges against several Democratic state lawmakers from Philadelphia. Kane is also a Democrat from Philadelphia.

That investigation, which began before she took office last year, involved lawmakers allegedly accepting illegal payments.

Kane said she shut down the investigation after her office found serious flaws including possible racial targeting

Tree trimmers working for Central Maine Power Co. woke Smith up as they were about to cut branches around electrical lines outside his home in Norridgewock.
Wearing only pants, Smith went out into the icy day and ordered the crew from Lucas Tree Experts to get off his property. One worker saw the tattoo and, thinking Smith had a pistol in his waistband, called police.

The cops showed up in force and surrounded Smith’s home armed with AR-15s over a crude tattoo.
I can only imagine that they freak out every time pop tart Rihanna slips into a bikini. She has three gun tattoos, including a large on on her thigh.

School officials in Pueblo County, Colorado are bucking the anti-gun trend and recently approved a field trip for middle school students to a local shooting range where they learned about gun safety and how to properly handle a firearm. The gun safety and marksman group Project Appleseed, an activity of The Revolutionary War Veterans Association, was brought in to instruct students, all of whom fired at the range with live ammunition. Man Shot, Boards 2 SEPTA Buses for Help

The injured man boarded this bus and another looking for help following a shooting.

After being shot in Southwest Philadelphia, a man fled two blocks before boarding two SEPTA buses looking for help.

The unidentified man was shot in the leg at 57th and Washington Ave. around 7 a.m. on Wednesday and made his way to a southbound Route G bus at 58th and Baltimore Ave., a SEPTA spokeswoman said. That's about two blocks away.

SEPTA officials say the man boarded that bus, told he driver he had been shot and then left as the driver called authorities for help.

After leaving the southbound bus, the man made his way to a northbound Route G bus where he stayed until first responders arrived, SEPTA officials said.

The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment. His condition has not been released.

Philadelphia Police are still searching for the shooter.

Toyota will pay a record settlement of more than $1.2 billion to resolve a federal investigation into its disclosure of deadly safety flaws that caused vehicles to suddenly accelerate, Attorney General Eric Holder announced Wednesday morning while laying out a blistering critique of the giant automaker’s actions.
The settlement will allow Toyota to avoid criminal prosecution. The sudden acceleration problem, which was linked to faulty floor mats and accelerator pedals, resulted in the recall of more than 9 million cars worldwide and was tied to 37 deaths.

A man shot himself inside the emergency room at Inspira Medical Center Woodbury today.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said authorities responded to reports of a man suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the emergency room lobby at about 11:40 a.m.
The man was transferred to Cooper University Hospital's trauma unit.
Prosecutors said the gun was recovered and the hospital is secure.

There were no evacuations or lockdowns at the hospital, officials said.

Patients in a New Jersey hospital got quite a scare late Thursday morning after a man shot himself inside a lobby.

Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office saaid that around 11:40, a man walked into the lobby of the Emergency Room and shot himself.

The man was transferred to the trauma unit at Cooper Medical Center in Camden.

His condition is unknown at this time.

Police were able to recover the gun and no evacuations were necessary, contrary to initital reports.

Democrats in Pennsylvania Accepted Bribes to Oppose Voter Identification Laws

Pennsylvania Democrats have been caught red handed allegedly accepting bribes in return for their opposition to voter identification law in the Keystone State. According to PJ Media's J. Christian Adams, lumps of cash and expensive Tiffany & Co. jewelry were accepted by Democrats and exchanged for votes against voter identification legislation in 2012. Despite the bribes and the no votes, the legislation passed but was struck down by a judge earlier this year.

Naturally, the Democratic Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane hasn't charged Democratic legislators for their alleged misconduct. As usual, Kane is crying racism over the allegations.

Apparently in this case, lawmakers can get away with potential criminal activity so long as they have the right skin color. The investigation into these kinds of bribes started in 2010 under Republican Attorney General Tom Corbett but was quickly snuffed out as soon as Democrat Kathleen Kane took over the position. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder doesn't seem interested in filing criminal charges against Pennsylvania Democrats either despite the Department of Justice paying special attention to voter identification laws in the state.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: FLIGHT 370 – EXCESSIVE MSM OVERLOAD?

     I was reading through "Angry White Dude's blog, this post caught my eye. I'm not taking his story, just the headline and YouTube video.
     After 2 weeks of story after story about what could have happened to flight 370, sometimes changing daily, no one really having an explanation that makes sense. Even Malaysian government keeps changing their stories.
   Seems Rush Limbaugh has had enough of the stories that the MSM are "creating". The bottom line is that no one other than those ON the plane really knows what has happened. I would have said "theories don't count" until I watched the video below of an ex- 777 Pilot. his theory makes more sense than any of the others I've heard or seen.
   I am more and more convinced that we'll never know what happened.

Amish Buggy Hits SUV Twice, Flees Scene Tuesday, Mar 18, 2014 | Updated 2:08 PM EDT

State police are searching for an unlikely suspect in a western Pennsylvania hit-and-run accident: the driver of an Amish buggy.
Troopers from the Mercer barracks say the buggy twice hit a passenger vehicle at a crossroads on Route 158 in Wilmington Township, about 6 p.m. Sunday.The buggy then left the scene and its driver has yet to be identified.
Police say the victim is a woman who owns a Honda CRV, a crossover vehicle that was struck on its left side.

Nobody was hurt in the crash.

The Man Whose House He Just Broke Into Ordered Him Not to Move – He Really Should’ve Listened Mar. 17, 2014 Jason Howerton

A Montana man shot and killed a home intruder early Monday after the suspect failed to follow his order not to move.

Ravalli County Sheriff Chris Hoffman told the Montana Standard that the resident said he was startled awake by noises just before 4 a.m. on Monday morning. The man armed himself and went to investigate, leading him to a man climbing through a broken window.
The man then reportedly ordered the suspect not to move. However, the suspected burglar apparently turned his body towards him, causing the resident to shoot the intruder with his handgun.
After being shot, the suspect climbed back through the window and ran away, police said.
“When sheriff’s deputies arrived, they found the man lying on the ground a short distance from the house. Paramedics rendered aid immediately, but the intruder could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene,” according to the report.
Though Sheriff Hoffman said it’s too early in the case to determine if the resident’s actions are covered under the state’s “castle doctrine,” he said a “person has every right to protect him or herself in their home if they fear for their life.”
“They are in no obligation to hide out or call 9-1-1. If they are in fear for their life, they have every right to defend themselves or use deadly force,” he added.

IRS: Employee Took Home Personal Info on 20,000 Workers

WASHINGTON — An Internal Revenue Service employee took home personal information on about 20,000 IRS workers, former workers and contractors, putting the data at risk for public release, the agency said Tuesday.

The employee took home a computer thumb drive containing names, Social Security numbers and addresses of the workers, and plugged the drive into an unsecure home network, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen said in an email to employees.

Koskinen said the incident did not involve any taxpayer information. The IRS said the potential breach was an isolated incident.

Almost all the employees worked at IRS offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Most no longer work at the IRS.

Koskinen said the agency was working to contact each of them, and would offer free identity theft monitoring.

The personal information dated back to at least 2007. The agency's inspector general was investigating the potential breach.

An IRS spokeswoman declined to comment on the status of the employee who took home the data, citing federal privacy laws.

News Helicopter Crashes By Seattle's Space Needle, Killing Two

A News Chopper Crashenews helicopter crashed in downtown Seattle Tuesday morning, killing two aboard and injuring one on the ground, officials said.

The chopper, operated by local television network KOMO, an ABC affiliate, and also used by KING5, an NBC affiliate, went down near Seattle's Space Needle at about 7:40 a.m. PT. Three vehicles were set ablaze after the crash, sending large plumes of smoke into the air.

A girl born with two heads at a hospital in northern India earlier this week has been transferred to a medical center in the country's capital for further care, a health official said Saturday.

The girl, who also has two necks, was born on Wednesday morning, according to media reports. Her mother delivered her via Caesarean section and the girl weighed in at 5.3 pounds, said Dr. Ashish Sehgal of Cygnus JK Hindu Hospital.

Conjoined twins happen once every 200,000 live births. Some 40 to 60 percent of conjoined twins are stillborn, while 35 percent survive one day. Their overall survival rate is between 5 percent and 25 percent, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Some 70 percent of total conjoined twins are girls.

Malloy On Connecticut’s “Assault Weapon” Ban: “Your Side Lost”

When confronted by a citizen who takes issue with the state’s blatantly unconstitutional “assault weapon” ban, Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy tells him that “your side lost” and that we must comply with the law.
He further—and dishonestly—claims that the law was merely re-outlawing guns that “were illegal until 2004.” Presumably, Malloy is referring to the 1994-2004 federal assault weapon ban, and is acting as if modern firearms and standard capacity magazines were always against the law until 2004.
This is a blatant and calculated falsehood.
It’s quite obvious from his rhetoric that Malloy has no intention of backing down and repealing this law.
What is still unknown is how greatly outnumbered Connecticut law enforcement officers are going to enforce this law, and if their attempts to enforce it are going to lead to an outbreak of violence as tensions remain very high in the state.
If blood is spilled as the result of enforcing this blatantly unconstitutional law, the blame will like squarely on the heads of Governor Malloy and the legislature.
