It is not necessary to debate the peculiar wording of the Second Amendment. No right is unlimited and immune from reasonable regulation.
Certain kinds of weapons, like the slightly modified combat rifles used in California, and certain kinds of ammunition, must be outlawed for civilian ownership. It is possible to define those guns in a clear and effective way and, yes, it would require Americans who own those kinds of weapons to give them up for the good of their fellow citizens.
What better time than during a presidential election to show, at long last, that our nation has retained its sense of decency?
What’s strange is the “gun epidemic” is largely over in New York City. Why not advocate for the same policing and sentencing strategies that worked there to be implemented nationally rather than this unconstitutional move that’s sure to fail?

The left wing media is using grotesquely manipulated data from a site called ShootingTracker.com in order grossly inflate the number of mass shootings in the country, at least doubling them, in an effort to create the false impression that the number of shootings is going up in order to create a political environment to call for more gun control laws. Breaking news update at 12:13 p.m. ET San Bernardino, California (CNN) San Bernardino shooter Syed Rizwan Farook was in touch over the phone and via social media with more than one international terrorism subject who the FBI were already investigating, law enforcement officials said.
It appears that Farook was radicalized, which contributed to his motive, though other things -- like workplace grievances -- may have also played a role, other law enforcement sources said.

The shooting at the Inland Regional Center occurred at around 11 a.m. Police said two shooters barged into a conference room during a Christmas party for San Bernardino County employees and opened fire before fleeing in a black sport-utility vehicle. Farook, an employee of the county health department for five years, where he was an environmental specialist, was at that party, Burguan said.
"He was at the party, he did leave the party under some circumstances that were described as angry," Burguan said. Between 10 and 30 minutes passed from when Farook left the party and the shooting, Burguan said. Explosive devices were found in the center after the shooting, and Farook and Malik were wearing "assault-style clothing" and armed with assault-style rifles when they were killed, Burguan said.
Farook and Malik were either married or engaged to be married, Burguan said. Farook was born in the U.S., Burguan said. He couldn't provide more details about Malik.

We have to admit that we’re surprised. You probably know the story of Florida Gun Supply. That’s the gun shop that adopted the “Muslim-Free Zone” policy following the Chattanooga terrorist attack. In other words, owner Andy Hallinan basically banned Muslims from his store. That didn’t go over well with the croaking toads on the left, who finally found a reason to support gun rights. The Concil on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) filed suit against the store and its owner back in July, saying the the ban was an example of discrimination on the basis of religion. “American Muslims have a right to browse and purchase guns, take classes on gun safety and shoot guns at a range without having to be profiled and discriminated,” said Hassan Shibly, Chief Executive Director of CAIR Florida. “Such discrimination is not only illegal, it is bad for our country and makes us less safe and less free,” Shibly added. The case was heard by U.S. District Court Judge Beth Bloom, who effectively told CAIR to go pound sand instead of chopping off people’s heads. The officer who shot 12-year-old Tamir Rice in Cleveland last year, said he "knew it was a gun and it was coming out" before he opened fire and repeatedly warned the boy to put his hands up, according to newly released statements from the cop and his partner.
The unsworn statements given Monday to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department and released today by the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, mark the first time that officer Timothy Loehmann and his partner's versions of events has been made public.
Rice had been holding a toy gun when officer Timothy Loehmann allegedly shot him in November 2014 and claimed in his statement that he was aiming for the 12-year-old's weapon.
Loehmann said he and his partner responded to a report of a "male waiving [sic] a gun and pointing at people" and he saw the suspect put something into his waistband.
When Rice turned towards the patrol car, Loehmann claimed he "yelled continuously 'show me your hands' as loud as I could," the statement said.
Loehmann said the suspect "appeared to be over 18 years old and about 185 pounds."
"The suspect lifted his shirt reached down into his waistband. We continued to yell 'show me your hands.' I was focused on the suspect," Loehmann wrote. "Even when he was reaching into his waistband, I didn't fire. I still was yelling the command 'show me your hands.'"

Muslim Man Drags 14-Year-Old Girl Out of Missouri School By Her Hair Because of What She Was Wearing
While the man’s role at the University of Missouri is not clear, one thing is crystal clear: Youssif Zaghwani Omar was arrested for allegedly dragging a 14-year-old relative out of school by her hair — for not wearing a hijab. As reported by the Columbia Daily Tribune, the 53-year-old Omar was at Hickman High School, when he noticed the young girl was not wearing a hijab, the traditional headscarf that some Muslim women wear. Officer Latisha Stroer said in an email that Omar became irate, grabbed the young girl “very violently by the hair” and pulled her outside and down a flight of stairs. Stroer also said that Omar allegedly slapped the girl’s face as he pulled her into his car, again, by her hair. Police arrested Omar on suspicion of felony child abuse. He was released after posting a $4,500 bond. While some news outlets reported that Omar is an assistant professor at the University of Missouri, other sources say he is a graduate student. Roughly 3,000 demonstrators have shut down a large portion of Michigan Avenue in Chicago–the “Magnificent Mile”–in the middle of Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year, to protest the shooting of black teenager Laquon McDonald.
The 17-year-old was killed in October 2014, and was apparently armed with a knife at the time. Video of the shooting released on Tuesday, however, shows that he was walking away from police at the time he was shot 16 times by Officer Jason Van Dyke. Turnout was strong despite 39-degree weather and rainy conditions. Demonstrators shouted “16 shots!” and “No justice, no shopping!” The march started at Michigan and Wacker Drive and began walking north. They include demonstrators from the Nation of Islam, which is marching under the banner of “Justice of Else”; RevCom, the Revolutionary Communist Party, and the Rev. Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow PUSH coalition. The latter group is marching slowly, while the other groups have pushed ahead, effectively taking up five city blocks along Michigan Ave., with hundreds of Chicago Police Department officers lining the streets.

FOXNEWS: Chicago police announced Friday the arrest of a known gang member in the “heinous” execution-style murder of a 9-year-old boy, a crime that shocked a city familiar with senseless violence. Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said Tyshawn Lee was lured into a south side alley and killed earlier this month to get back at his father, a member of a rival gang. “Tyshawn Lee was failed on many levels but at the end of the day our detectives were unrelenting in the pursuit of justice,” McCarthy said at a news conference. Corey Morgan, 27, was arrested on a first degree murder charge, he told reporters. McCarthy said Morgan is a “documented” gangmember, and a convicted felon with a history of violence. Police said Tyshawn was killed by Morgan and two gang cohorts.

Police fear that a man may have beaten his seven-year-old son to death and fed his remains to pigs.
Michael A. Jones, 44, of Piper, outside of Kansas City, has been arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated battery and child abuse after cops responded to a domestic violence call on Wednesday, according to News2.
Jones had allegedly shot at his 29-year-old wife, Heather. As the investigation progressed, authorities got a tip to check the property for the remains of Jones' seven-year-old son, who had been missing for several months.
The next day, authorities found human remains near a barn on the rural property in Piper, where Jones lived with his wife and eight children ranging in ages from one to 11.

On Sunday morning, a New York resident called the FBI to report a comment he saw on the website www.worldstarhiphop.com, posted in response to a video clip from the 1995 movie “Panther.”
“This is my only warning. At 10AM Monday morning, I’m going to the campus quad of the University of Chicago. I will be armed with an M-4 carbine and two desert eagles, all fully loaded. I will execute approximately 16 white male students and or staff, which is the same number of time McDonald was killed,” wrote the commenter, who posted with the initials “JRD” and a Chicago Bulls logo, according to the police report. “I will then die killing any number of white policeman in the process. This is not a joke. I am to do my part and rid the world of white devils. I expect you do the same.”
We can’t blame Black Lives Matter for this, because it’s just one person. Plus, most likely he’s black, so holding him accountable for his own actions would be racist. And we can’t blame anyone else’s inflammatory rhetoric, because that only counts when it benefits Democrats politically. I blame myself. I’m white, so I deserve bad things to happen to me in response to every bad thing that has ever happened to a black person. That’s social justice. Global warming/climate change protesters kept things super classy in Paris yesterday ahead of the global Conference of the Parties Climate Change Summit, which President Obama is currently attending. Not only did protesters destroy a memorial left in remembrance of those killed by ISIS terrorists a little over one week ago, they picked up candles dedicated to victims and threw them at police.
