Don't know if it matters, do they even teach history any more ? They are trying to erase history from the Civil War era, so why not ALL history. Let's erase the part of history of when blacks were brought to America, and to do that, we have to send them ALL back to Africa. Wouldn't THAT be wonderful !!!

All of Human History Now Declared a Racist Microaggression at Oxford  Daniel Greenfield Nov 26, 2015

Finally Anti-Racism is getting serious. Really serious.
No more playing around with the small stuff. It's time to start declaring entire decades racist. That's right, 1920s. We're looking at you. You have been declared out of bounds

Colleges at the University of Oxford have been drawn into a 'race row' after advertising New Orleans and 1920s-themed balls, to be held in May 2016.
Students have claimed that the balls may cause offence to female and ethnic minority students.
Arushi Garg, a law student at the college, has spoken out about the "problematic" nature of the event.
She told student paper The Cherwell: "1926 at Magdalen was a time when people of colour and women were entirely absent from college spaces. I felt uncomfortable with the advertising.
Students, including co-chairmen of the student union’s Campaign for Racial Awareness and Equality, have said that it promotes "nostalgia for an era steeped in racism."

So that eliminates the 1920s and most of the 20th century and all the centuries before it. Really all of human history then. We have to get rid of all of it.
But it gets worse. We are constantly told how racist the present is. Every time a drug dealer is busted, it's genocide. There's a school to prison pipeline whooshing innocent aspiring students directly into prison for no reason except the occasional armed robbery, drug dealing, rape and murder.
We can't live in the past. And we can't live in today. Maybe we can all live in a fantasy future in which everyone is finally equal. But I guess that's the entertainment industry's main product already

I wouldn't have expected anything else from HIM ! Stub your toe, he'll push more gun controll

Obama pushes for gun control after Planned Parenthood shooting    21 minutes ago  CBS News
After a gunman opened fire at a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood on Friday, killing three people and injuring several others, President Obama urged the nation to increase controls over "the easy accessibility of weapons of war."
"This is not normal," the president said in a statement Saturday. "We can't let it become normal."
"If we truly care about this -- if we're going to offer up our thoughts and prayers again, for God knows how many times, with a truly clean conscience -- then we have to do something about the easy accessibility of weapons of war on our streets to people who have no business wielding them," Mr. Obama added. "Enough is enough."

This is one persons opinion, which I don't agree with. This is reverse RACISM. Every thing they have has been given by the "white man". NOW THEY JUST WANT IT ALL, FOR FREE, WITHOUT EARNING IT THEMSELVES ....AND, I AM NOT TO BLAME !!

For thin-skinned college students, we have nobody to blame but ourselves https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/for-thin-skinned-students...

But do such events mean that students have been neglected, as protesters have charged? Or that the school tolerates racism?
Their tantrums are a direct result of our Everybody Gets a Trophy culture

It would be easy to call protesting college students crybabies and brats for pitching hissy fits over hurt feelings, but this likely would lead to such torrents of tearful tribulation that the nation’s university system would have to shut down for a prolonged period of grief counseling.
Besides, it would be insensitive.

Instead, let me be the first to say: it’s not the students’ fault. These serial tantrums are direct results of our Everybody Gets a Trophy culture and an educational system that, for the most part, no longer teaches a core curriculum, including history, government and the Bill of Rights.
The students simply don’t know any better.

This isn’t necessarily to excuse them. Everyone has a choice whether to ignore a perceived slight — or to form a posse. But as with any problem, it helps to understand its source. The disease, I fear, was auto-induced with the zealous pampering of the American child that began a few decades ago.

The first sign of the epidemic of sensitivity we’re witnessing was when parents and teachers were instructed never to tell Johnny that he’s a “bad boy,” but that he’s “acting” like a bad boy.

Next, Johnny was handed a blue ribbon along with everyone else on the team even though he didn’t deserve one. This had the opposite effect of what was intended. Rather than protecting Johnny’s fragile self-esteem, the prize undermined Johnny’s faith in his own perceptions and judgment. It robbed him of his ability to pick himself up when he fell and to be brave, honest and hardy in the face of adversity.

College President's Blistering Takedown Isn't the Message Coddled Students Want. But It's the One They Need

At colleges and universities across the country, students are staging protests and making demands of their schools over various perceived injustices and “insensitivity” on the part of officials.
These demands also often include calls for the school to create “safe spaces” on campus – or areas that are “free from harassment, marginalization and discrimination.”
As some university presidents are stepping down in the face of these student protestors, the head of Oklahoma Wesleyan University (OKWU) has a very different response to such complaints.

Megyn Kelly Segment Comes to a Dead Halt When She Notices What One Protester Is Doing To a Cop   By

When 17-year-old Laquan McDonald was shot and killed by Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke in October of 2014, much of the incident was recorded by the dashcam of a fellow officer’s police cruiser.
On Tuesday – just after Van Dyke was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting – the city of Chicago released a 7-minute portion of that footage, which officials stated was likely to spark protests.
Fox News’ Megyn Kelly was covering live footage of the protests on “The Kelly File” when she called her guests’ attention to this “extraordinary moment”:

An argument kicked off between Kelly and talk show host Richard Fowler after one of Kelly’s guests, former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik, explained that the stare-down was a case of someone who is simply looking to “instigate” the situation.
Fowler said the individual was staging a “silent protest” and simply exercising his First Amendment rights, prompting Kelly to respond:
“This is a cop out there accused of doing nothing wrong, trying to keep the peace…
It’s not a question of what his constitutional rights are. It’s a question of what’s appropriate.”
Fowler argued:
“And I see nothing wrong with this. I think what is inappropriate is this prosecutor took 13 months to prosecute this individual when this police officer had 18 different complaints against him from citizens of Chicago.”
While the protests are said to have been “largely peaceful,” a police spokesman noted that there were “five arrests related to resisting arrest and assaulting police officers.”
With those in the media claiming that “Chicago is on the tipping point” and that the video “could tear Chicago apart,” hopefully things will remain peaceful and the city can come forward united from this tragedy.

Shooting at Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs[Updated]    By

At least six people have been injured and one gunman remains at large, after a shooting broke out at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, local police told reporters Friday. As of 5:30 p.m. E.S.T., police were still exchanging gunfire with a shooter barricaded inside one of the clinic's windowless offices. Police told the New York Times that the shooter is a "white man in a trench coat with an assault rifle." According to CNN, at least six people have been taken to local hospitals for treatment, though the nature of their injuries has not been disclosed.
While Lt. Kirk Wilson of the Colorado Springs Police Department had told The Colorado Springs Gazette that the shooter was "contained," his collegue Lt. Catherine Buckley later told the Washington Post that authorities "can’t confirm where the shooter is at at this point," and that the situation remains "very active." Buckley told CNN that police had not ruled out the possibility of a hostage situation or a second shooter.

From a few days ago......Looks like some WHITE students are FINALLY fighting back

White Student Union Challenges Black Lives Matter at University of Illinois
The Washington Post reports:

A Facebook page ostensibly created for an audience at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign called “Illini White Students Union” has drawn fire after it characterized the national Black Lives Matter movement as “terrorism.”
Created Wednesday after a protest sympathetic to Black Lives Matter, the page declared itself “for white students of University of Illinois to be able to form a community and discuss our own issues as well as be able to organize against the terrorism we have been facing from Black Lives Matter activists on campus,” as the Daily Illini reported.
The page did not last long in its original incarnation, but was taken down after three hours. It has since been revived here.
“We recognize the right to free speech, and we encourage you to exercise that right when you see examples of racism, discrimination or intimidation on our campus,” Interim Chancellor Barbara Wilson, who called the page “extremely disturbing,” wrote in a message Thursday to the student body.
In an anonymous message to the News-Gazette, the page’s administrator discussed Black Lives Matter.
“We feel they disrupt student daily life and activity far too much,” the message read, saying that movement “marginalizes” white students. “… We are in the United States and not Africa and we don’t desire to have an African flag on campus.”
The current page is bare bones — just a few links to news stories about the controversy with an image of a statue on campus. The “about” section dedicated the page to “White Pride and a safe place for White students,” according to the News-Gazette, though that page appeared to have changed.
A recent post was a clip from the 1998 film “American History X,” in which Edward Norton plays a white supremacist. In the clip, billed as “revelant to all Ferguson news,” Norton’s character denounces the 1992 riots in Los Angeles.
“It’s a bunch of people grabbing any excuse they can find to go and loot a store, nothing more,” Norton says. “… Lincoln freed the slaves what, like, 130 years ago. How long does it take you to get your act together?”
While this was certainly eyebrow-raising, the original page was even more provocative.

SEATTLE (AP) — The student body president of Western Washington University said Wednesday she has received death threats involving her race and no longer feels safe on the Bellingham campus.
"These attacks have threatened my sense of safety,"Belina Seare, a black woman, said during a news conference about the malicious comments made about her on social media.
Seare compared the racist remarks to similar incidents at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and on campuses across the nation, including the University of Missouri.
She brought her concerns to the university police and school officials.
"I was told there was not much they could do," Seare said. "Due to the negligent response of campus police, I know my safety is not a priority."

University students in Massachusetts who were upset by an image of a Confederate flag sticker on another student’s laptop were offered counseling services at Framingham State University.

The offer came after the university’s “chief diversity and inclusion officer,” Sean Huddleston, described the display of the small Confederate flag sticker as a “bias incident.”
According to Metrowest Daily News, students filed two “bias reports” within the past month as a result of a student displaying the flag in some way. The most recent bias incident – reported on November 19 – was a report of a student having seen a Confederate flag sticker on another student’s laptop.
In an email to students, Huddleston did not declare a ban on displaying the flag, but claimed that it upsets some students.

Lamon Reccord, right, stares and yells at a Chicago police officer "Shoot me 16 times" as he and others march through Chicago's Loop Wednesday

Chicago's streets again filled with protests Wednesday against police injustice a day after disturbing footage of Laquan McDonald's death was released to the public.
Tuesday night's protests in Chicago continued Wednesday after Officer Jason Van Dyke was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the 2014 shooting.
About two dozen protesters gathered outside Mayor Rahm Emanuel's officer on Wednesday, demanding justice for black people killed by police in Chicago and across the country.

Video: The shooting of Laquan McDonald
November 24, 2015 by Allahpundit
Jason Van Dyke, the cop who shot him, was charged earlier today with first-degree murder but the dashcam video wasn’t released until a few hours ago. There are protests happening tonight in Chicago as I write this. That’s McDonald walking away from the camera along the yellow line as the squad car pulls up to the scene; Van Dyke’s squad car pulls up past him a bit farther down the road. McDonald has a folding knife on him and the cops know that. You’ll see Van Dyke and his partner get out of the car with guns drawn. The NYT sets the stage:
In Officer Van Dyke’s case, the police were summoned to the city’s southwest side one night in October 2014 in response to a report of a man with a knife trying to break into vehicles in a trucking yard. Mr. McDonald, who was holding a folding knife, refused to drop it when officers told him to, the authorities have said, and he began walking or jogging away. Officers began following him, and one called for backup from any nearby police unit with a stun gun.
At one point, Mr. McDonald, whose autopsy showed the presence of the drug PCP in his system, pounded on the windshield of the squad car and punctured its front tire with the knife, city officials say.
They’re about 10 feet away from him, well within range of the 21-foot rule for a knife attack — although the 21-foot rule is supposed to apply when a cop’s gun is holstered, not drawn and already pointed at the suspect. As the two cops move in, McDonald keeps walking — but he starts to veer away from them, not toward them, until he’s actually in the right-most lane when the shooting starts. After he spins around and collapses, you’ll see some smoke or debris kick up next to his body into the air at around 34 seconds as the bullets fly. McDonald, 17 years old and black, ended up being shot 16 times by Van Dyke, who’s white. Investigators could only be sure that two of the 16 bullets hit McDonald while he was standing. Some part or all of the other 14 struck him when he was already on the ground. There’s no way to tell for sure how many from the dashcam since Van Dyke ends up out of frame as soon as McDonald falls. None of the other seven cops at the scene fired.
Van Dyke was apparently reloading his gun while McDonald was on the ground when his partner called him off, stepping in to kick McDonald’s knife away. After the shooting, cops claimed that McDonald had lunged at them with the knife.
Why is this video, of a police shooting that happened 13 months ago, only being released now? Good question. The city fought its release at every turn but a judge finally ordered it published today. Which sure is convenient for Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Syrian Refugee Policy Raises Serious States’ Rights Issues

Bob Barr | Nov 25, 2015

The flood of refugees from Syria and other Middle East countries that the Obama Administration is preparing to distribute to communities across the nation raises very real and understandable security concerns among government officials at the state and local levels, and among the citizenry generally.  It is, of course, facile for President Obama to proclaim piously that he "is not a afraid."  With the full protection of the U.S. Secret Service, the armed forces, and every law enforcement agency in the country protecting him, why should he fret?  The rest of us are not quite so lucky.

Whether we, or any nation, has any moral obligation to throw open its doors and accept tens of thousands of Syrian and other Middle Eastern refugees at this (or any) juncture, and whether it is fiscally prudent for us to do so when we already are drowning in entitlement spending, are questions worthy of vigorous political debate.

Obama Dropped Leaflets to Give ISIS 45 Min Warning Before Bombing     Frontpage reports:  November 24, 2015

We did a show of force, by — we had aircraft essentially buzz the trucks at low altitude.”

The leaflets, which fluttered to the ground about 45 minutes before the strikes, simply said: “Get out of your trucks now, and run away from them. Warning: airstrikes are coming. Oil trucks will be destroyed. Get away from your oil trucks immediately. Do not risk your life.”

Wisconsin School Forces Native American Girl To Remove Her Traditional Menominee Medicine Pouch   November  2015 | by Amando

A school in Wisconsin has forced a Native American teen to remove her traditional Menominee
medicine pouch from her neck.

The traditional Menominee medicine pouch is used for prayers and is a common practice among many Native American tribes across the United States.
According to the Free Thought Project, on October 21, 2015 a 13-year-old Native American student named Rosella Kaquatosh, was removed from class before school administrators confiscated her sacred medicine pouch. The incident happened in the village of Gresham.
The girl was reportedly waiting in the school lunch line when a kitchen employee noticed her wearing the medicine pouch like a necklace. The kitchen employee then demanded that she remove the pouch.

With the help of other administrators in the school, Rosella was forced to remove the pouch.

The school took the tobacco out of the pouch and sent Rosella back to class. School authorities later forced her to tuck the pouch inside her shirt, even though the tobacco was removed.
The Free Thought Project reports, “It seems as if the school was as offended by the pouch itself as they were by the tobacco inside.”

Canada to Refuse Entry to Single Male Syrian Refugees Cortney O'Brien | Nov 23, 2015

Canada is not taking any chances when it comes to its new influx of Syrian refugees. While the country is preparing to accept about 25,000 migrants by the end of the year, security concerns have convinced officials they should leave out a key demographic: single males
The federal government's much-anticipated Syrian refugee plan will limit those accepted into Canada to women, children and families only, CBC News has learned.
Sources tell CBC News that to deal with some ongoing concerns around security, unaccompanied men seeking asylum will not be part of the program.
ADVERTISING
To put the number 25,000 into perspective, that is about the population of Canada's Yukon Territory. Most of the women and children refugees entering Canada will be placed in military bases upon arrival, CBC reports, before being relocated throughout the country.
The Canadian government’s decision to bar unaccompanied males comes after last weekend’s terror in Paris, when eight suspected radical terrorists killed over 129 people.

Single men are most vulnerable to being seduced by ISIS. They are told they will be powerful and performing these extreme, violent acts are moral necessities in order to establish a militant Islamic caliphate, NY Magazine explains.

Meanwhile, our own Syrian refugee program will allow up to 100,000 migrants to enter the country by the end of 2017. President Obama has tried to ensure us our vetting process is “rigorous,” yet 34 governors aren’t so sure, refusing to let even one refugee in their respective states until their security concerns are addressed.

Is this one instance when we should follow the example of our northern neighbor?

“Trees (regardless of the types of ornaments used) have been deemed to promote the Christian religion and will not be permitted in any public areas this year,” the email stated.

Kansas Professor Put on Leave After Saying the N-Word in Class              J

Some Kansas University students have filed a discrimination complaint with KU against assistant professor Andrea M. Quenette, who they accused of using racist language.

A University of Kansas professor was put on leave after students complained about her saying the n-word in class.
Andrea Quenette was having a class discussion about diversity in the classroom following a university town hall about race and discrimination. She told The Lawrence Journal-World, “I tried to preface everything I said with, ‘I don’t experience racial discrimination so it’s hard for me to understand the challenges that other people face, because I don’t often see those.'”
She said at one point that she had not personally witnessed racism or students assaulting over students on campus, and when saying she hasn’t seen racial epithets spray-painted around campus, Quenette uttered the n-word.
Quenette said no one responded in the moment, and so she kept going, but following that class outrage spread and students posted an open letter calling for her to lose her job. Here’s part of what it says:

READ LETTER

Dr. Quenette indicated that because she has not experienced or witnessed discrimination, it is not happening at KU. She asked for more evidence, and was dismissive of the multiple examples provided. These comments demonstrate not only an unwillingness to accept evidence contrary to her own ideas and experiences but also exemplify the dismissal and questioning of minority students’ experiences that has reinforced the very structural discrimination they seek to destroy by speaking up.
These comments betray a lack of empathy and care for students of color who are facing academic struggles, which is particularly troubling for our incoming cohort of graduate teaching assistants as we are crafting our own teaching pedagogy. Furthermore, it denies the necessity for social and academic institutional programs in support of disenfranchised students.

They also make some more general claims about Quenette:

Travelers wait in long security lines at Seattle-Tacoma international
WASHINGTON — Americans should be alert to the possible travel risks, especially during the holidays, following increased terrorist threats around the world, the State Department warned on Monday.
A travel alert, which is to be in effect until Feb. 24, said current information suggests that militants with the Islamic State, al-Qaida, Boko Haram and other terrorist groups continue to plan attacks in multiple regions. U.S. authorities said the likelihood of terror attacks will continue as members of IS return from Syria and Iraq, and other individuals not affiliated with terror groups engage in violence on their own.
Extremists have targeted sporting events, theaters, open markets and aviation targets. In the past year, there have been multiple attacks in France, Nigeria, Denmark, Lebanon, Turkey and Mali. IS has claimed responsibility for the Oct. 31 bombing of a Russian airliner in Egypt, killing 224 people.
"U.S. citizens should exercise vigilance when in public places or using transportation," the alert said. "Be aware of immediate surroundings and avoid large crowds or crowded places. Exercise particular caution during the holiday season and at holiday festivals or events."

The State Department said the U.S. is exchanging information with allies about threats of international terrorism.
The travel alert was issued the same day that Belgium's prime minister announced that Brussels would remain at the highest alert level for at least another week. The increased security measures following the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris that killed 130 people have virtually shut down the Belgian capital.

In the video, the police officer can be seen calling for backup and then returning to the side of Gonzalez's car with guns drawn.

Scary Warning From Greece: Picking Out the Jihadists from the Refugees is ‘Nearly Impossible’

A passport and a fingerprint from a Greek database allowed authorities to trace the movements of one of the suicide bombers from Paris. Working together, French and Greek authorities were able to figure out that Ahmad al-Mohammad had registered as a Syrian immigrant on the island of Lesbos a month before the attack.
This reveals a problem with separating legitimate refugees from terrorists embedded within them, says Dimitris Amountzias, the head of refugee registration on the island:
“If they are not already registered in the database, it’s nearly impossible.”
Ahmad al-Mohammad was able to be identified as a terrorist only after the fact. His fingerprint was taken and he was registered when he passed through the processing center. At the time, he was considered to be a fleeing refugee along with everyone else.
A European official, who insisted on anonymity, further commented on the problem:
“In any event, this proves that the unchecked flow poses an unequalled challenge for European security. We simply don’t know who is coming through.”
All of these European authorities, dealing with the deluge of refugees coming from the Middle East, are directly confronting the same sorts of issues that the United States is facing.
In stark contrast to the comments made by these officials, supporters of the Obama Administration’s plans for vetting refugees continue to describe the process as “robust.”

In a stinging rebuke to President Barack Obama by Republicans as well as members of his own party, the House ignored a veto threat Thursday and overwhelmingly approved Republican legislation erecting fresh hurdles for Syrian and Iraqi refugees trying to enter the United States.

Dozens of Democrats joined Republicans as the House passed the measure 289-137. That margin exceeded the two-thirds majority required to override a veto, and it came despite a rushed, early morning visit to the Capitol by top administration officials in a futile attempt to limit Democratic defections for the measure.

Thursday's vote came six days after a burst of bombings and shootings in Paris killed 129 people, wounded many more and revived post-9/11 jitters in the U.S. and Europe. The attacks have turned the question of admitting people fleeing war-torn Syria and Iraq into a high-stakes political issue in both the United States and Europe, and many congressional Democrats were willing to vote against their party's lame duck president for fear of angering voters nervous about security at home.

EDIT: (Jazz Shaw) While I never claimed that Donald Trump “tweeted” this chart, .......

The truth about that Trump “black murder rate” chart on Twitter   November 23, 2015 by Jazz Shaw
I actually saw this on Twitter over the weekend and assumed that it was just going to blow over, but since it involved a chance to take a shot at GOP frontrunner Donald Trump and included the subject of race, well… obviously it exploded. The Hill has a bit of a rundown on how it unfolded and it involved crime statistics and race. (Always a lively mix in the political arena.)
Donald Trump is taking heat on social media for a Sunday afternoon tweet of statistics purporting to show that the vast majority of murdered black people in the U.S. are killed by other black people.
The tweet was apparently Trump’s response to a Twitter thread about support from white supremacists for the GOP front-runner…
A drawing of a black man wielding a sideways pistol and wearing army pants, military boots and a bandana and mask accompanies the statistics, which are sourced to the “Crime Statistics Bureau” in San Francisco.
The chart in question, in case you missed it, was this one.

Chris Christie Hits Obama’s ‘Orphans and 3-Year-Old Widows’ Comments By Bringing Up 9/11

2016 Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie lashed out at President Obama Saturday, using his personal experiences during the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks to criticize the commander-in-chief for berating the New Jersey Governor on his decision not to accept any Syrian refugees.
Speaking at two town halls in New Hampshire, Christie told supporters that the race for president “changed eight days ago” following the coordinated terrorist attacks on Paris that left 130 dead and injured hundreds of others.
He told the audience at one of the rallies:
“I have to tell you the truth, after this week it’s almost funny to be lectured by the President of the United States. I was lectured by the President this week from far away…
Once again, this president misunderstands. But the great thing about this president is … when we look back on the Barack Obama presidency, there are lots of things we can think.
But I will tell you the one thing that I will always remember, the one phrase that symbolizes his failed leadership in this country: ‘Often wrong, never in doubt’.”
The New Jersey Governor also touched on Obama’s critique of the 31 governors who refused to admit Syrian refugees, claiming that they were “scared of widows and three-year-old orphans.”
Christie said, according to The Washington Post’s Dave Weigel:

Christie on refugees: "I AM concerned about widows and orphans -- the widows and orphans of my state, of September 11."
