At times it can be rather painful to watch candidates who are soundly losing their race try to act as if reality doesn’t exist and everyone telling them that they have absolutely no shot of winning doesn’t know what they’re talking about. I understand that as a candidate (especially one running for president) you have to be optimistic basically to the point of being flat-out delusional, but it’s still sometimes difficult to watch one of these individuals stay in a race that practically every rational person following the election knows is over.
