DENVER—Colorado voters ousted two state lawmakers Tuesday in first-ever recall elections that came in reaction to the Democrats' support for tougher gun laws in the aftermath of last year's mass shootings in Aurora and Newtown, Conn. Senate President John Morse of Colorado Springs and Sen. Angela Giron of Pueblo lost their jobs as lawmakers in an election seen as a national measure of popular support for gun legislation. They were replaced by two gun-rights Republicans. Angered by new limits on ammunition magazines and expanded background checks, gun rights activists filed enough voter signatures for the recall elections—the first for state legislators since Colorado adopted the procedure in 1912. The recalls prevailed

GUILTY OF LIVING WHILE WHITE IN AMERICA

Another black man in America has killed another white man in America for nothing more than the crime of being white. No word if the white man was a creepy ass cracka. But, since he was white, we know he was a racist enjoying white privilege. Jeffrey Babbitt’s white privilege included being beaten to death by a black man who attacked him for his lack of pigment.
Jeffrey Babbitt was attacked by Lashawn Marten in Union Square in New York City last week. Marten was heard saying “the next white person that walks by I’m going to f**k”. Only, he didn’t f**k the next white person, he killed him. Jeffrey Babbitt died today in the hospital. His crime? Living while white in America in 2013.
Babbitt is said to have been a gentle person who was the sole caregiver for his 94 year-old mother. He was just like the many others who are beaten down, knifed or shot by blacks in America every day for nothing more than being white. And racist.

Syria says it accepts Russian weapons proposal

PARIS (AP) — Syria has accepted a Russian proposal to place its chemical weapons under international control for dismantling, the Syrian foreign minister said Tuesday, amid a flurry of diplomatic activity aimed at averting Western military action.

Speaking in Moscow, Walid al-Moallem said his government quickly agreed to the plan to "derail U.S. aggression" — an allusion to possible U.S.-led strikes over a deadly Aug. 21 chemical weapons attack near Damascus that Western powers blame on the Syrian regime. Syrian President Bashar Assad has denied the claim.

Russia, Syria's most powerful ally, is now working with Damascus to prepare a detailed plan of action that will be presented soon, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said. Russia will then be ready to finalize the plan with U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

 

Al-Moallem brief statement sounded more definitive than his remarks a day earlier, when he said Damascus welcomed Russia's initiative. He did not provide any details about how Syria might comply.Read Story

Before Barack Obama Talks About Dead Children on Tuesday… I Think I’ll Start Now  by Dean Garrison

From what I am hearing, President Obama will be addressing the nation on Tuesday to try to sway public opinion, and gain support for his "limited" attacks on Syria. If it's anything like his Sandy Hook speech he will likely sway a lot of idiots who would rather simply hear someone spew propaganda than actually take the time to read and do some research. I can't change that. It is what it is. But I can at least speak to those who aren't afraid to look for the truth.

We all know what's coming. Barack Obama will make an emotional plea on Tuesday and it is guaranteed that he will mention these 400+ dead children that allegedly died in this chemical attack. I am not disputing that children died. I will however dispute the numbers since it was originally reported, by an independent source with no agenda, that the total body count was 355. That included men, women and children.
Anyway, let's talk about some dead children. Barack Hussein Obama wants to talk about dead children and exploit the situation to further his agenda. I can play that game.
Tim Brown reported yesterday that President Barack Obama is responsible for a good number of innocent dead children himself. His drone attacks in Pakistan and other corners of the globe have killed hundreds of innocent children. If you follow this link to the article, the names and ages are actually listed. Obama has authorized 193 drone strikes in Pakistan – four times the amount authorized by George W. Bush. According to Global Research, over the past four years, Obama has authorized attacks in Pakistan which have killed more than 800 innocent civilians and just 22 Al-Qaeda officers.
That constitutes at least 36 civilians per target.

Syria positive about giving up chemical weapons

MOSCOW (AP) — Syria on Monday quickly welcomed a call from Russia, its close ally, to place Syrian chemical arsenals under international control, then destroy them to avert a U.S. strike, but did not offer a time frame or any other specifics.

The statement by Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem appeared to mean that diplomatic efforts to end Syria's 2 ½-year civil war were gaining momentum. But it remained to be seen whether it represented a genuine goodwill gesture by Syria or simply an attempt by Syrian President Bashar Assad to buy more time to prepare for a U.S. military attack.

"Syria welcomes the Russian proposal out of concern for the lives of the Syrian people, the security of our country and because it believes in the wisdom of the Russian leadership that seeks to avert American aggression against our people," al-Moallem said during a visit to Moscow, where he held talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.

However, al-Moallem, would not give any further details in his brief statement and didn't take any questions from reporters   .FULL STORY

LAKE MARY, Fla. (AP) — George Zimmerman's estranged wife called police officers to her father's house in Florida Monday, saying the former neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted of murder threatened her with a gun.

Shellie Zimmerman called police shortly after 2 p.m. Monday, said Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell.

Zimmerman hasn't been arrested and officers were at the house trying to determine what happened, Bracknell said.

US says 14 more nations join statement on Syria

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says 14 more nations have signed on to a statement blaming Syrian President Bashar Assad's government for a chemical weapons attack and calling for a strong international response.

That means the list has grown to 25 from the 11 — including the U.S. — who initially signed on. The statement was unveiled Friday at the Group of 20 economic summit in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Among the new nations announcing support are Germany, Denmark, Morocco, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Croatia, Hungary, Kosovo, Honduras, Romania, Latvia, Albania and Lithuania are also listed.

The statement doesn't explicitly call for military action against Syria, as President Barack Obama is advocating. But administration officials say it's an implicit endorsement because the U.S. is publicly discussing a potential military strike.

The "thin" red line....whose is it ?

So, let me see if I have this right…………..

…………….. Our President declared that there was a red line that Syria would cross if it used chemical weapons. Now the president and his administration tell us Syria defied his red line, except that it is not "his" red line he says. No, it is now the international communities red line against the use of chemical weapons. Of course after President Obama disavowed ownership of said red line, his Secretary of State, and long faces, John Kerry said that red line WAS Obama's.  In either case a "red line" that belongs to uh, someone, has been crossed. 
The use of those chemical weapons was committed by Bashar Assad, or it was committed by the Al Qaida-linked rebels fighting against Assad depending on whose intel you believe. And we cannot decide how much of the rebel army fighting against Assad is Al Qaida. Secretary Kerry claims it is 15 % or so, Senator McCain, who apparently has some type of man crush on the Syrian rebels, says they are bunch of great guys. Other sources say that Al Qaida makes up 50% or more of the rebel forces. Again, in either case, we really do not know who used the weapons, we do not know how much of the forces fighting against Assad are Al-Qaida. As an added bonus, some are reporting that the Obama administration "mischaracterized" the intel they are touting as proof that Assad is at fault.
The country is decidedly against the idea of striking at Syria, yes, majorities of both Democrats and Republicans seem dead set against it. President Obama boldly said he did not need Congressional approval to strike Syria, but has asked for that approval anyway. Now as it looks like he might not get that approval, he refuses to say if he will go ahead and strike without Congress approving that action. And what WILL that action be?
Limited? Cruise missiles, or air strikes too? And on what targets? Surely any chemical weapons have been moved by now, likely to Iran. No boots on the ground, and apparently only France is on board with us, which is kind of like going into a fight with Pee Wee Herman at your side. I thought Obama was going to bring us all together, and make the world love us. And if we do strike Russia has hinted it might come to Assad's aid, Iran and Syria have vowed to strike at Israel if we attack Syria, which of course will lead to Israel powdering both of those nations asses. But what would happen then? Oh and did I mention that Turkey is flexing its muscle along their border with Syria? Oh, and China is sending forces to the region too. YIKES!
Maybe worst of all, we are relying on the same crew that gave us Benghazi to make the right call. DOUBLE YIKES!

NYC suspect in tot's death expresses remorse

NEW YORK (AP) — The man accused of shooting a toddler to death in his stroller on a New York City street says it was an "evil act" he has to live with.

Daquan Breland tells the Daily News (http://nydn.us/14xKpgC ) that "remorseful doesn't even describe what I feel." He spoke to the newspaper at the Rikers Island jail.

Breland was arrested in Wilkes-Barre (WILKS'-ba-ree), Pa., on Friday, the same day the toddler, Antiq (An-TEEK') Hennis, was buried. He's charged with second-degree murder.

The 23-year-old suspect tells the News he never intended to hurt the toddler. He says: "I could never do that to an innocent little baby. It's not in my heart."

He offered his condolences to Antiq's family.

Authorities believe Breland's intended target was Antiq's father, Anthony Hennis, and the shooting may have been gang-related.

Obama to meet with Democrats before Syria speech

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama will meet with Senate Democrats Tuesday to seek support for U.S. military action against the government of Syria, a Senate Democratic aide said Sunday.

The meeting at the Capitol would come just hours before Obama addresses the nation in a prime-time speech on Syria from the White House.

The Senate aide spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to publically discuss the meeting before its official announcement.

Obama faces difficult odds to win congressional authorization for any use of force against the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad. Obama blames Assad's military for a chemical weapons attack against civilians last month outside Damascus.

The president is making a determined last-ditch effort for authorization, granting a series of network interviews Monday to make his case. Sunday night, he dropped in on a dinner held by Vice President Joe Biden for Republican senators.

Amid skepticism from both parties, the Senate is expected to hold its first showdown vote on a use-of-force resolution Wednesday.

The journalist asked, "What do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before you shoot him? Is it, 'Are you my friend?' or is it 'Are you the one who killed my brother?'"                                                   
Nugent replied, "Deer aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, what am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the Democrats in Congress."

U.S. Supplies $148 Million to Palestinian Terrorists

 

 

Authorities in Palestine are handing out cash grants to convicted terrorists with $148 billion in aid from the U.S. 
Beginning on Aug. 18, the Palestinian Authority supplied “Dignified Life Grants” to over 5,000 prisoners being released from Israeli prisons.
 
The U.S. gives over $400 million in aid to the Palestinian Authority every year. By law, none of the aid can go to terrorists or former terrorists.
 
“We have a lot of funding that goes to the PA that is fungible and co-mingled and there is a lot of concern the money is going to radical causes and extremist issues,” said Jonathon Schanzer, vice president for research at Foundation for Defense of Democracy.
 
“There are many problematic questions concerning the way the Palestinian Authority disperses funds and especially those coming from the U.S. This is not unique. We’ve seen in the past, monies allocated from the PA’s budget to the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, which is a designated terrorist organization, and all of this points to a troubling trend whereby the U.S. has tried to get a handle on financing within the P.A.,” Schanzer said.

The U.S. has not yet obtained documentation of the individuals who’ve received “Dignified Life Grants,” however, reports show that Palestinian prisoners “swarmed” government offices in Gaza after authorities announced the grants.
