Appeals court rules against Obama immigration plan

The president…NEW ORLEANS (AP) — President Barack Obama's plan to protect from deportation an estimated 5 million people living in the United States illegally suffered another setback Monday in a ruling from a New Orleans-based federal appeals court.
In a 2-1 decision, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a Texas-based federal judge's injunction blocking the administration's immigration initiative.
Republicans had criticized the plan as an illegal executive overreach when Obama announced it last November. Twenty-six states challenged the plan in court.
The administration argued that the executive branch was within its rights in deciding to defer deportation of selected groups of immigrants, including children who were brought to the U.S. illegally.

Former New York Times journalist (soon to be with @ProPublica) and University of Missouri grad Madi Alexander posted a screenshot of an email reportedly from the university’s police force asking witnesses to “call the police immediately” so that they can investigate incidents of “hateful and/or hurtful speech” on campus.

UNREAL: Mass Media Professor Demands "Some Muscle" To Remove Reporter From Mizzou Protest Camp  Katie Pavlich | Nov 10, 20

In case you've missed what's been happening at the University of Missouri (Mizzou), students are protesting the university's response to a series of alleged racially charged incidents on campus. The University president resigned after demands for his ousting were made by members of the Mizzou football team, who accused the president of failing to address racial incidents properly. With a million dollar fine in the balance, the team threatened not to play in this weekend's big game against BYU unless the president was gone. 

Now, protestors on campus and campus faculty are taking the situation to a whole new extreme. When a reporter went into a protest "safe space" camp yesterday to ask some questions about their goals and motives, a Mizzou assistant media professor demanded that he leave. Her name is Melissa Click and according to her bio, she's currently researching 50 Shades of Gray and the relationship Lady Gaga has with her fans on social media. When the reporter refused, she went around the camp asking for "some muscle" to remove him. Ironically, the reporter is a student reporter for the Mizzou student newspaper.

Gaining its origin from a small tavern in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1775, the United States Marine Corps is revered as one of the greatest fighting forces in the world. In the beginning, the Continental Marines were a lively bunch, often fighting from atop the masts aboard an outmanned, outgunned, and infant Continental Navy Man O’ War led by John Paul Jones. Because of Jones’s ‘never quit attitude’ along with the patriotic fighting spirit of this new fighting force, the United States achieved its birth.

Indonesia plans crocodile-guarded prison island for drug convicts

   Indonesia's anti-drugs agency has proposed building a prison on an island guarded by crocodiles to hold death row drug convicts, an official said Monday, an idea that wouldn't be out of place in a James Bond film.
   The proposal is the pet project of anti-drugs chief Budi Waseso, who plans to visit various parts of the archipelago in his search for fierce reptiles to guard the jail.
   "We will place as many crocodiles as we can there. I will search for the most ferocious type of crocodile," he was quoted as saying by local news website Tempo.
Waseso said that crocodiles would be better at preventing drug traffickers from escaping prison as they could not be bribed -- unlike human guards.
   But he is banking on the convicts lacking Roger Moore's crocodile-running skills showcased in Bond movie "Live and Let Die" when he escapes from an island using the reptiles as stepping stones.

   The plan is still in the early stages, and neither the location or potential opening date of the jail have been decided.
   Indonesia already has some of the toughest anti-narcotics laws in the world, including death by firing squad for traffickers, and sparked international uproar in April when it put to death seven foreign drug convicts.
   But President Joko Widodo has insisted that drug dealers must face death as the country is fighting a "national emergency" due to rising narcotics use.
   Despite the harsh laws, Indonesia's corrupt prison system is awash with drugs, and inmates and jail officials are regularly arrested for narcotics offences.
   Anti-drugs agency spokesman Slamet Pribadi confirmed authorities were mulling the plan to build "a special prison for death row convicts".
   He said only traffickers would be kept in the jail, to stop them from mixing with other prisoners and potentially recruiting them to drug gangs.
The agency is currently in discussions with the justice ministry about the plan, he added.

MARKSVILLE, La. (AP) — Police body camera video shows the father of a 6-year-old autistic boy had his hands up and posed no threat as police opened fire into his car, severely wounding the motorist and killing his son, the man's lawyer said Monday.
"This was not a threatening situation for the police," said Mark Jeansonne (ZHAN'-sawn), the attorney for Chris Few, who remained hospitalized Monday and could not attend the funeral of his son, Jeremy Mardis.
Jeansonne spoke with The Associated Press after a closed hearing in a Louisiana jail where he said the two local marshals were ordered held on $1 million bonds. Derrick Stafford, 32, of Mansura, and Norris Greenhouse Jr., 23, of Marksville, are both charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.

When it comes to danger, voters are far more afraid of gun violence than terrorism.
But like almost everything else this election season, there’s a partisan split, a new McClatchy-Marist poll finds.

Overall, 63 percent of registered votes say they’re more worried that they or someone they know will be a victim of gun violence, while 29 percent more fear that they or a friend will fall prey to a terrorist attack.
Democrats and independents lean heavily toward gun violence as the bigger threat, a sentiment reflected in the party’s push for stricter gun laws in the wake of mass shootings this year in Charleston, S.C., Rosenburg, Ore., and Lafayette, La.

Democrats fear guns over terrorism by 77-15 percent. Independents fear gun violence over terrorism by 64-28 percent.
Republicans edge toward terrorism as the bigger threat, but only narrowly, by 50-45 percent over a fear of gun violence.
African-American voters have the biggest concern about guns: 71 percent say they’re worried about being a victim of gun violence and only 13 percent are afraid of being caught in a terrorist attack.

Mother of murdered Chicago boy, 9, fuels outrage after buying new car

The mother of a murdered 9-year-old Chicago boy is fighting back against accusations that she used online donations meant for her son’s burial to purchase a new car.
Karla Lee, 26, admitted using the money donated through GoFundMe to buy the car, but said her son would have wanted her to be safe and a car helps, Fox32 reported Saturday.
“Am I afraid for my life? 100 percent I’m afraid for my life,” she told the station.
Following public outrage, Lee said she used her own money that she had saved for months to make the purchase, according to the station.
She also lashed out at her critics in an expletive-filled rant on Instagram.

EXPOSED: 23 Jihad Training Camps Are Located Inside America… Obama’s FBI Does NOTHING

If the fact that there are 23 jihad training camps within U.S. borders isn’t frightening enough, the fact that president Barack Obama has done absolutely nothing about them should be.
According to a document released by the Clarion Project, 23 confirmed terrorist Jihad compounds belonging to Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a Pakastan Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda-related organization, were operating within our own borders.
Jamaat ul-Fuqra is known to be an extremely militant group of international terrorists. The compounds allaegedly provide paramilitary training to new recruits for jihad against America.

The document also claimed that Jamaat ul-Fuqra was an “autonomous organization which possesses an infrastructure capable of planning and mounting terrorist campaigns overseas and within the U.S.”
This document was obtained in 2007, but still nothing has been done about these compounds or their activities.
If you’re wondering why, the answer lies with our very own president and Department of Homeland Security, which refuse to classify Jamaat ul-Fuqra as a foreign terrorist organization — even though plenty of evidence proving they are terrorists reportedly exists.
The fact that Obama has done nothing to stop these groups only reinforces the notion that he chooses to support Muslim interests over American interests, and that is disturbing in every way.
What kind of president allows this kind of training to happen in his own backyard?
This is as good a reason as any for Americans to exercise their Second Amendment rights. If our president is more worried about being politically correct than he is the safety of our country, then the people deserve the right to defend themselves.
