Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu may have just scored a large victory at home, but Israel’s relations with the United States could be on the brink.
The administration of President Barack Obama was particularly prickled by Netanyahu’s assertion on Monday that he no longer supports the two-state solution as well as continued building in Judea and Samaria.
Adding insult to injury for the US was Netanyahu’s comment on election day itself that Israelis must rally to the polls to combat the large number of Arabs going to vote.
As a result, the Obama administration is now carefully weighing whether to agree to a draft resolution at the United Nations Security Council, which calls for the establishment of a Palestinian state and Israel’s withdrawal from Judea and Samaria, along with mutually agreed land swaps.
The resolution would also oblige Israel to immediately enter into negotiations with the Palestinian Authority prior to a final peace agreement between both sides.
Several administration officials said Thursday the Obama administration may be likely to agree to the passage of the UN Security Council resolution.
“The premise of our position internationally has been to support direct negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians,” a senior White House official told the New York Times.
“We are now in a reality where the Israeli government no longer supports direct negotiations. Therefore we clearly have to factor that into our decisions going forward.”

I, Tina Griego, journalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News wrote a column titled, "Mexican Visitor's Lament."
I interviewed Mexican journalist Evangelina Hernandez while visiting Denver last week. Hernandez said, "Illegal aliens pay rent, buy groceries, buy clothes. What happens to your country's economy if 20 million people go away?"
Hmmm, I thought, what would happen?
So I did my due diligence, buried my nose as a reporter into the FACTS I found below.
It's a good question... it deserves an honest answer. Over 80% of Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped. But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America? The answers I found may surprise you!
    In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico, it would leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupt hospitals and overrun prisons. It would leave highways cleaner, safer and less congested. Everyone could understand one another as English became the dominant language again.
    In Colorado, 500,000 illegal migrants, plus their 300,000 kids and grandchilds would move back "home," mostly to Mexico. That would save Colorado an estimated $2 billion (other experts say $7 billion) annually in taxes that pay for schooling, medical, social-services and incarceration costs. It means 12,000 gang members would vanish out of Denver alone.
Colorado would save more than $20 million in prison costs, and the terror that those 7,300 alien criminals set upon local citizens. Denver Officer Don Young and hundreds of Colorado victims would not have suffered death, accidents, rapes and other crimes by illegals.See More

Real Water Crisis: “We Saw People Behave Like Animals”  

Governments would like for you to believe that they have everything in control and that everything will be fine as long as that administration or regime is in power.
But Sao Paulo, Brazil, shows us otherwise.
Imagine the largest city in a country with municipal water, and the widespread corruption in the government leads to water shortages for the everyday people. In fact, the needs of the people for water were sacrificed to the “needs” of giant corporate concerns.
It’s a disturbing story, and, if you haven’t really thought about this possibility, this article will shake you up.
People said, “We saw people behave like animals.” And you need to realize that this is the way that a water crisis plays out.
Why is that? According to the article in The Guardian:

In Itu, a city 100km from São Paulo a desperate water shortage in late 2014 led to fighting in queues, theft of water, and the looting of emergency water trucks, which are now accompanied by armed civil guards. These events left many paulistanos wondering how the hardship might play out in their own pressurised and densely populated city.

Think it couldn’t happen here? That’s what the people of Sao Paulo thought, too, and I’m not sure that you can say our government is less corrupt than their government. Better to be prepared.

Suffolk County police officer shot in Huntington Station - News 12 Long Island

#‎BREAKING‬ NEWS ‪#‎OFFICER‬ SHOT in Huntington Station - Officer Mark Collins was shot during a traffic stop and is currently at Stony Brook Hospital.

 

HUNTINGTON STATION - Officials say a Suffolk County police officer and member of the gang unit was shot twice this morning in Huntington Station.
Officials say Officer Mark Collins was conducting a traffic stop on Mercer Court near Jericho Turnpike when a man got out of a black Honda Accord and started running. According to police, the suspect made it a few blocks before Collins caught up to him.
Police say the suspect, Sheldon Leftenant, 22, confronted Collins, shooting him once in the neck and once in the hip.
Collins is listed in serious, but stable condition, and is currently in a coma.
Collins, a 12-year veteran with the SCPD, was with another 2nd Precinct gang unit officer when they made the traffic stop around midnight, police say.  After the shooting, officers back at the scene went on a manhunt for Leftenant and arrested him around 1 a.m.   
Police say three other people who were inside the car besides Leftenant are in police custody.
Leftenant has been charged with attempted aggravated murder and resisting arrest and is scheduled to be arraigned today.

Two Officers Shot During Protest Near Ferguson Police Department   By Shamar Walters, Alexander Smith, Jason Cumming and Richie Duchon

Two police officers suffered "very serious" wounds after being shot early Thursday during a demonstration in Ferguson, Missouri, authorities said.

Gunfire rang out as about 50 protesters and about 30 police officers remained outside the Ferguson Police Department shortly after midnight local time (1 a.m. ET) at a dwindling rally following the resignation of the embattled force's chief.

St. Louis County Police Chief John Belmar said that it appeared that at least three shots were "directed exactly at" the officers.

Virginia Sheriff Furious After Judges Tell Him He Can't Erect US Flag Display

 

Portsmouth Sheriff Bill Watson was furious after he was ordered by a local judge to take down a US flag-styled display on the lobby wall of the local courthouse.

The American flag display was a gift from members of the Portsmouth Fire Department and featured a fire hose coiled into a picture display and painted like Old Glory. A sign beneath it read, “A Tribute to Public Safety.”

The court demanded that the display be removed from public property but the Sheriff was incensed at the decision.

  Watson said he requested to have it mounted on the wall in the lobby of the courthouse but was shocked by what he was told.

Watson said he was told, “Not only do we not want it on the wall, we don’t want it in the courthouse.”
Watson said, “I just can’t believe that they don’t want to display the American flag in a courthouse, I mean that’s the most asinine thing I’ve ever heard in my life.”
NewsChannel 3 spoke with a judge who didn’t want to be identified about the issue. The judge told us it was decided that the lobby of the courthouse is not the appropriate place for the display.
He said they don’t want any display or memorial of it’s kind positioned in the lobby when people walk into the courthouse.
The judge said if you allow one type of display, then you will have to allow all types.

Sheriff Watson said, “They expect my deputies to put their life on the line for a judge. If somebody was going to come into a courtroom with a gun, the deputy is supposed to stand in front of the judge and take a bullet, but yet they won’t let us have our flag, saluting public safety? To me, that’s a slap in the face.”

Obama Helps FCC Pass Net Neutrality… Find Out What that Could Do to Freedom on the Internet

Conservatives should be alarmed at what just happened.
In the FCC’s vote, three Democrats voted in favor of the Internet being regulated like a utility, much like the telephone or radio is regulated. The two Republicans of the FCC voted against the measure.
But what does all this mean?
For starters it means the federal government will be able to control the Internet. Not necessarily the best thing in the world.
Democrats voted for the legislation because they believe it will help keep the Internet open. According to Fox News, “On its surface, the plan is aimed at barring service providers from creating paid ‘fast lanes’ on the Internet, which consumer advocates and Internet companies worry would edge out cash-strapped startups and smaller Internet-based businesses. Chairman Tom Wheeler said it would ensure an ‘open, unfettered network.'”
And while that might seem all well and good, the problem is it hands over the regulation of the Internet to a government who isn’t well known for transparency.

On Friday February 13 at 4:00 pm, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms released a proposal to ban commonly used M855 “green tip” AR-15 ammunition under the guise of law enforcement safety. The same day the proposal was released, on a Friday of a three day holiday weekend, ATF opened up a shortened 30-day period for the public to submit comments about the new regulation.

Freight Train Carrying Crude Oil Derails Near Illinois City

GALENA, Ill. — Mar 5, 2015, 

A freight train loaded with crude oil derailed in northern Illinois on Thursday, bursting into flames and prompting officials to suggest that everyone with 1 mile evacuate, authorities said.

The BNSF Railway train derailed around 1:05 p.m. in a rural area where the Galena River meets the Mississippi, according to company spokesman Andy Williams. The train had 103 cars loaded with crude oil, along with two buffer cars loaded with sand. A cause for the derailment hadn't yet been determined. No injuries were reported.

Only a family of two agreed to leave their home, Galena City Administrator Mark Moran said at a news conference late Thursday, adding that the suggestion to evacuate was prompted by the presence of a propane tank near the derailment.
