The Koch Brothers want to rewrite the Constitution. They may succeed.  Jun 2017

Josh Keefe

The Wisconsin Assembly votes Wednesday on whether to call for a convention to change the U.S. Constitution. While that in itself is surprising — the American people have never exercised their legally enshrined right to convene a new Constitutional convention — what’s more surprising is that pro-business groups with ties to the Koch brothers have pushed for similar legislation in more than 30 states, and they’ve been remarkably successful: A dozen states have passed bills calling for a convention that would produce an altered Constitution that would likely limit federal spending and power.
According to Article V of the Constitution, just two thirds (34) of the 50 state legislatures need to call for a convention for the purposes of “proposing constitutional amendments” (no governor’s signature is required). Those amendments would then need to be ratified by three quarters of the states, currently 38, to become law. But beyond those very basic requirements, nobody knows what the rules for a convention would be, since one hasn’t occurred since the original in 1787. That single instance, Constitutional law experts warn, provides a harrowing precedent: Delegates tore up the Articles of Confederation they had convened to improve, and produced a whole new governing document.
The Wisconsin legislation, which is supported by Gov. Scott Walker, was introduced by Republican Sen. Chris Kapenga, who introduced similar legislation in January 2014 as a member of the Assembly. His bill would call a convention to pass constitutional amendments that would require the federal government to balance the budget, something that Congress will simply never do on its own, Kapenga told International Business Times.
“For the country to continue spending at this rate, where revenues are exceeding expenditures consistently, is not sustainable,” Kapenga said. “Whether it’s Democrats or Republicans in charge in Washington, it’s not getting fixed, and no solutions are being proposed to deal with it...I think this is the only option left.”

Something Unbelievable Just Happened To Loretta Lynch

Former FBI Director Jim Comey’s testimony did not go as planned.
His appearance before the Senate was supposed to be the death knell of Donald Trump’s presidency.
Instead, he dropped a stunning bombshell about Loretta Lynch.
During his testimony, Comey was grilled about his handling of the Clinton email investigation.
Senators wanted to know why he went public and exonerated Clinton.
Comey claimed it was because Loretta Lynch put him in a difficult situation because she had exerted pressure on him to line up his public statements with the Clinton campaign’s talking points.
Business Insider reports:
As fired FBI Director James Comey testified Thursday mostly on his conversations and communications with President Donald Trump, he revealed one bit of major news unrelated to the growing investigations involving the White House.
And a law professor says that looking back, the incident could have changed the course of last year’s presidential election.
Comey said during testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee that former Attorney General Loretta Lynch asked him to refer to the investigation into Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as a “matter” instead of an “investigation.”
Comey said the request he recalled “gave me a queasy feeling.” It also echoed
language the Clinton campaign itself was using.
“That was one of the bricks in the load that led me to conclude I have to step away
from the department if we’re to close this case credibly,” Comey said.
Conservatives immediately pointed out Lynch had strayed into possible obstruction of justice testimony.
And one law professor – who blasted the GOP for the email investigation – was forced to recant and admit the Republicans were right and Lynch was in big trouble.
Business Insider also reports:
After hearing Comey’s Thursday remarks, Jed Shugerman, a law professor at Fordham University, said he could no longer “stand by my earlier criticism that the GOP was asking about Clinton emails to distract from the Trump questions.”
“They may have intended to change the subject, but they found a real subject to investigate further,” he added in an email to Business Insider.
The professor called the apparent pressuring of Comey to use “matter” instead of “investigation” a “huge mistake” and “a partisan intrusion” on Lynch’s part.
It “probably changed history by making Comey more skeptical about her and the Clintons’ role,” he said. “I inferred that it had an effect on Comey that may have changed how he handled the investigation later. She will face very tough questions. And it validates the follow-up questions on the Clinton campaign on their handling of the emails.”
Experts expect to see Lynch hauled in front of the Committee to explain herself.
And some conservatives are wondering why there is a special counsel to investigate the fake news Russia story while the crimes of the Obama administration are ignored.

Liberal terrorism: Gunman identified as Democrat activist

Just weeks after Democrats grabbed a Republican Congressman by the neck, drove another Congressman off the road and threatened to shoot the children of another Republican Congress, authorities have identified the man who attempted to assassinate multiple House and Senate Republicans as a 66-year-old Democrat activist.
The gunman, James T. Hodgkinson of Illinois, declared online March 22 “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”
Hodgkinson managed to shoot and wound Louisiana Republican Steve Scalise, along with several
aides and Capitol Police officers. His Facebook page included an anti-Scalise cartoon.

Hodgkinson was also an anti-pipeline environmentalist whose social media accounts were flooded with adoring photographs of Bernie Sanders.

His current profile photo is the phrase, “Democratic Socialism Explained in 3 Words: “We The People.”
It Was Just Released Who The NSA Leaker Was Working For... THIS IS TREASON

Reality Winner worked as a contractor for the government and is accused of giving classified information from the National Security Agency to an online news outlet.

Reality Winner just got exposed. On Thursday, alleged NSA leaker, Reality Winner was indicted in front of a federal grand jury on a single count, according to the Gateway Pundit. It just came out that she wanted to burn the White House down and she pledged her allegiance to the… well you’ll just have to see below.

Reality Winner was recently arrested for leaking classified documents to a news outlet, The Intercept. She regularly discussed her hatred for Trump on social media as reported by Liberty Writers earlier. Her testimony is going to rock the internet. This woman wanted to burn down the White House.

According to WSB Atlanta, Winner entered a not-guilty plea. The judge has denied bond.

Evidence seized from her home show that Winner had plans to burn down the White House and travel to Afghanistan to pledge her allegiance to the Taliban.

Jailhouse calls have been recorded of Winner telling her mother how to play her side to the media. She also told her sister that she was “I’m pretty, white and cute.” She had plans to braid her hair and cry in court.

It just goes to show you how screwed up liberalism is. This woman came from an American family and gave up her own country for nothing. She wanted to pledge allegiance to the Taliban. How is this not treason?

Special counsel is investigating Trump for possible
obstruction of justice, officials say

Published on May 19, 2017
President Trump is calling it a "witch hunt," lawmakers are applauding it and the Justice Department says it's in the "public interest," but what can the newly appointed special prosecutor really do? Here are four things to know.

Washington Post · 17 minutes ago
The special counsel overseeing the investigation into Russia’s role in the 2016 election is interviewing senior intelligence officials as part of a widening probe that now includes an examination of whether President Trump attempted to obstruct justice, officials said.

The move by Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III to investigate Trump’s own conduct marks a major turning point in the nearly year-old FBI investigation, which until recently focused on Russian meddling during the presidential campaign and on whether there was any coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin. Investigators have also been looking for any evidence of possible financial crimes among Trump associates, officials said.

In a tweet on Sunday, former House speaker Newt Gingrich said: “Republicans are delusional if they think the special counsel is going to be fair. … Time to rethink.”

North Korea And Iran Could Not Believe What Trump Just Did

Rogue governments in Iran and North Korea are threatening the world with their nuclear weapons programs.
They are working on developing ballistic missiles that could reach the U.S.
Both governments thrived under Obama, but Trump just did one thing that shut down their hopes.
North Korea has been engaged in months of saber rattling.
They continue to test fire ICBM’s and are in the process of developing a weapon that could reach the United States.
So the U.S. responded with a historic test of an intercept system to shoot down an incoming ICBM.
It was a major gamble.
If the test failed, it would be significant propaganda victory for the North Koreans.
But the test stunned the world when it was revealed to be a success.

Trump Should Call His Opponents’ Bluff   Andy Schlafly Posted: Jun 07, 2017

Trump Should Call His Opponents’ Bluff
An important reason why Phyllis Schlafly enthusiastically supported Donald Trump for president was because, in her words, “He has fight in him.”  Nearly every day he proves that to be true, most recently with his tweets in support of his travel ban from terrorism-associated countries.
Not since Ronald Reagan have we had a conservative president like Trump who “has fight in him” to stand up for the security and prosperity of ordinary Americans.  So many other politicians cave into whatever the media want.
After the press criticized Trump all day Monday, June 5th, for some early-morning tweets by Trump in support of his travel ban, by evening Trump demonstrated that he was undeterred by comments from the peanut gallery.  He came out swinging with another tweet after hours:  “That’s right, we need a TRAVEL BAN for certain DANGEROUS countries, not some politically correct term that won’t help us protect our people!”
Oh, how refreshing it is to have a president who does not kowtow to the liberal media and the D.C. establishment who think they run our country.  Trump is fighting to win on his travel ban, and on many other issues near and dear to the hearts of average Americans.
The story line from the media is that President Trump’s most recent tweets will hurt his court case, which has reached the U.S. Supreme Court with an expedited briefing schedule.  Even his supporters think Trump’s out-of-court statements via Twitter will be considered by the Supreme Court Justices.

But Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the Deputy White House Press Secretary who is also the daughter of the twice-presidential conservative candidate Mike Huckabee, was splendid in fielding hostile questions from the press about President Trump’s repeated use of Twitter.  She observed that Trump “has over 100-plus million contacts through social media, on all those platforms” including Twitter.
“I think it’s a very important tool for him to be able to utilize,” she added.  When asked if Trump’s tweets are vetted by an attorney, she candidly and unapologetically replied, “Not that I’m aware of.”
The president of the United States should not need to have his comments vetted by an attorney before speaking directly with the American people.  Alexander Hamilton promised that the judiciary would be the “weakest” of our three branches of government, and the President has as much authority as all nine Supreme Court Justices combined.
That is what our Constitution provides, and that is what our Founders intended.  The idea that President Trump shouldn’t speak directly to the American people without having his remarks vetted by an attorney shows how far the political power structure has strayed from its constitutional moorings.
Less than a year ago, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg made a series of off-the-cuff remarks critical of Trump, calling him a “faker” and even musing that she might “move to New Zealand” if he were elected.  No one suggested then that Ginsburg’s comments should have been vetted by the Chief Justice before she spoke.

The same people who gave Ginsburg a pass for her intemperate remarks about Trump when he was a candidate are now saying that as President of the United States, Trump should be more careful how he says things, lest the supposedly supreme power of the judiciary punish him for it.
Contrary to the media, Trump should be free to share his views on litigation strategy with the American people whom he represents as our duly elected president.  There's no confidentiality protecting such communications, but courts are not supposed to be in the business of ruling against a newly elected president as he works overtime to protect national security and fulfill the campaign pledge upon which he was elected.
As statements out-of-court, Trump’s tweets to the American people would not be admissible on appeal under traditional rules of evidence.  The Supreme Court does not ordinarily hear testimony, and it should not allow the proceeding to be distorted by the introduction of numerous out-of-court statements through legal papers.
Opponents of the travel ban have bragged about using Trump’s statements against him in court.  Trump should call their bluff, and offer to testify before the Supreme Court to explain fully how necessary his travel ban is to protect the American people against a replay of what is happening in
London.

The Supreme Court, of course, would decline Trump’s offer.  It should also decline to base its decision on snippets quoted without telling the full story.

“At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’” Trump said of the recent massacre in London.  Don’t expect the adversaries of Trump to emphasize that quotation in court.

Putin to Megyn Kelly: ‘Are You Completely Out of Your Mind?’ Suggests She Medicate For Her Trump-Russia Obsession (VIDEO)

Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin, slammed Megyn Kelly when questioned on Russian interference in the U.S. election.

President Vladimir Putin On Russian Election Interference (Full Exclusive) | Megyn Kelly | NBC Fake News

Megyn Kelly was moderating a discussion in St. Petersburg and decided to ask Putin about Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election.

Vladimir Putin didn’t hold back. He’s just as sick of this Trump-Russia hoax as we are. He unleashed on Megyn Kelly and the other hysterics who are obsessed with this idea that President Trump colluded with the Russian government during the 2016 election when there is ZERO evidence of it.
Megyn Kelly: “President Putin, there are reports today in the American press that the Trump administration took active steps to ease sanctions on Russia, almost immediately after Trump took office. Was this possibility ever discussed between the Trump team and your representatives prior to President Trump being inaugurated?”
Putin: “Our ambassador met with someone. And what does an ambassador do? It’s his job, he gets paid for it. He has to have meetings, discuss current affairs, negotiate. What else is he supposed to do? Visit all sorts of establishments? For visiting which he will later be kicked out of work?
No, it’s his job…and he’s accused of having met someone? Are you completely out of your mind? There’s nothing concrete, just zero, zero, nothing at all! Simply surprising. It’s simply some kind of hysteria and just can’t stop.
Do you need to be given some pill? Does anyone have a pill? Give them a pill. Though, honestly it’s amazing.”
You can hear chuckles from people in the crowd after Vladimir Putin suggests Megyn Kelly and the hysterics medicate for their Trump-Russia hoax hysteria.

London Muslim Mayor Creates Diplomatic Incident With America

London mayor Sadiq Khan wants the British government to cancel a planned state visit by President Donald Trump—after Trump criticized Khan over Twitter.

Following a major terrorist attack in London over the weekend, Trump took to Twitter to slam Khan for downplaying the terrorist attack. Khan had assured Londoners that there was “no reason to be alarmed” after the attacks.

“At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’” tweeted Trump.

Khan explained that he wasn’t referring to the attacks themselves—but, rather, explaining to the people of London that there was no reason to be alarmed because of increased police presence.

On Monday, Trump took an even more direct shot at Khan.

Trump tweeted: “Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his ‘no reason to be alarmed’ statement. [Mainstream media] is working hard to sell it!”

After the two tweets, Khan was livid—leading for him to call on the British government to cancel Trump’s upcoming state visit.

“I don’t think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the USA in the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for,” said Khan, in an interview with Britain’s Channel 4 News on Monday night.

“When you have a special relationship it is no different from when you have got a close mate. You stand with them in times of adversity but you call them out when they are wrong. There are many things about which Donald Trump is wrong.”

Who (or what) is Reality Winner? Accused leaker wanted to ‘resist’ Trump   By Brooke Singman Fox News

View image on Twitter
The alleged leaker accused of feeding a classified report to an online news site has a colorful history on social media that lays bare her political leanings as an environmentalist who wanted to "resist" President Trump.
Reality Winner, a 25-year-old Air Force veteran, is a contractor with Pluribus International Corporation assigned to a federal facility in Georgia, where she allegedly leaked a classified intelligence report containing “Top Secret Level” information. The report, according to the Department of Justice, contained classified defense information from an intelligence community agency.
While the DOJ did not say which site published the information, the charges were announced just as The Intercept published details of a National Security Agency report on Russian hacking efforts during the 2016 presidential election.
According to the Justice Department, Winner admitted to printing a classified intelligence document despite not having a “need to know,” and with knowledge the report was classified. Winner further admitted removing the report from her office space and mailing it to the news outlet, according to the criminal complaint.

When torch-wielding white nationalists gathered in front of a Confederate statue in downtown Charlottesville, Va., last month, Mayor Michael Signer worried that the event harkened back to “the days of the KKK.”
That warning has now become prophecy.
On Monday, city officials said the the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan had applied to hold a rally near the statue on July 8.
A city spokeswoman said the permit would likely be approved.
“People have a constitutional right to assemble,” said director of communications Miriam Dickler.

Protesters shouted as Virginia gubernatorial candidate Corey Stewart gave interviews to local television stations about his opposition to removing a Robert Lee statue…
Signer condemned the KKK rally, but also called on people to ignore it.
“This rump, out-of-state chapter of a totally discredited organization will succeed in their aim of inciting controversy only if folks take their putrid bait, and that begins with the media,” he wrote in an email to The Washington Post. “I encourage everyone to ignore this ridiculous sideshow and to focus instead on celebrating the values of diversity and tolerance that have made Charlottesville a world-class city.”
But the town famous for the University of Virginia, a campus conceived of and designed by Thomas Jefferson, is already on edge.
In addition to the proposed KKK rally, a right-wing group known as Unity and Security for America has also applied for a permit to host a rally on August 12. The applications were filed on May 24 and 30, respectively, and were first reported by The Daily Progress.
Unity and Security for America is led by Jason Kessler, a local blogger who was recently fired by conservative website The Daily Caller for his support for white supremacist groups.
On Monday night, news of the proposed rallies dominated a city council meeting that was supposed to center on municipal bonds.
When Kessler approached the podium to speak, protesters flipped him the bird and sang “F--- white supremacy” until Signer had to suspend the meeting. Police had to forcibly remove at least one protester.
Charlottesville has become an unlikely front in a nationwide battle over Confederate flags and monuments.

Fake news NBC posts correction after falsely claiming Putin ‘does not deny’ having compromising info on Trump
By Joe Newby - June 5, 2017

On Sunday, NBC News was forced to post a correction after falsely claiming that Russian President Vladimir Putin “does not deny having compromising information” on President Donald Trump.

According to Breitbart:

To promote the debut of Kelly’s “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” program, NBC News tweeted, “EXCLUSIVE: Putin does not deny having compromising information on President Trump in interview with @megynkelly.”
CNBC, NBC’s sister station, did not send out fake news, linking to the same story after tweeting, “Russia’s Putin denies having compromising information on Trump.”
Reuters also reported on the interview and tweeted, “Putin denies having compromising information on Trump.”

CORRECTION: Putin denies having compromising information about President Trump, calls it nonsense http://nbcnews.to/2rzYXdH
Here’s the relevant part of the NBC article:
Asked whether “you have something damaging on our president?” Putin — who once worked as a KGB recruiter — replied: “Well, this is just another load of nonsense. Where would we get this information from?”
“Why, did we have some special relationship with him?” Putin asked. “We didn’t have any relationship at all. There was a time when he used to come to Moscow. But you know, I never met with him. We have a lot of Americans who visit us.”
The well-known spin master then attempted to turn the tables.
“Right now, I think we have representatives from a hundred American companies that have come to Russia,” Putin said. “Do you think we’re gathering compromising information on all of them right now or something? Have you all lost your senses over there?”

Breitbart added:
On Saturday evening, the network again displayed its blatant anti-Trump bias when NBC Nightly News’ twitter account, for some reason, decided to mock Trump’s suggestion that terrorists were behind the London Bridge attacks by sending out this tweet: “Pres. Trump has used Twitter to share news report on London incident. We aren’t relaying president’s retweet, as the info is unconfirmed.”

Megyn Kelly Admitted Something That Will Make You Shake Your Head

Megyn Kelly made her name as a debate moderator and anchor on Fox News.
But now that her new show on NBC is set to debut, she is giving revealing interviews.
And she just admitted something that will make you question her whole career.
When Kelly was at Fox News, she built her reputation on big political moments.
She famously told Karl Rove on Election Night 2012 that he was wrong about Mitt Romney having a chance in Ohio.
And her true moment came when she attacked Donald Trump with smear questions at the first Republican debate.
That set off the feud with Trump and became the first domino to fall in her leaving Fox News.
While her career was made covering politics, Kelly admitted something strange.
She told Politico she hates politics:
“Megyn Kelly has a confession: She doesn’t love politics.
“I was not born to be a political news anchor,” she said in a POLITICO interview.
The newly minted NBC anchor was known for her fast-paced, hard-hitting nightly show on Fox News and moderating prowess on the debate stage, tangling with then-candidate Donald Trump. But now that she’s set to launch a Sunday news magazine show and a daily morning show on NBC, Kelly said she’s happy to be leaving the political frying pan.
“No, I’m not going to miss the crazy news cycle. The audience enjoyed the show and I’m grateful for it,” Kelly said. “But it wasn’t who I was and it isn’t who I am. … While I will cover politics … I don’t want to do only that. It’s not enough for me personally.”
Kelly, whose show “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” debuts this weekend on NBC with a separate weekday morning show also on NBC slated for this fall, left behind the network that built her career as a television star when she turned down a reported $100 million contract from Fox earlier this year.”
This could just be a spin.
Kelly is transitioning into a role where she will host a Sunday night news magazine program and daytime talk show.
To succeed in those time slots it’s better not to be known just for politics.
As a former Fox News anchor, she could alienate some liberal NBC viewers just by virtue of her previous association.
Or is she telling the truth now?
And was her career at Fox as a political anchor and debate moderator just an example of “fake it until you make it?”
