Democrats in Congress have announced their top legislative priority, and it isn’t health care, immigration, or taxes. Instead, they want to centralize power over elections in Washington, D.C. H.R. 1 is number one on the legislative agenda because it is the number one priority of House Democrats, leftist groups, deep-pocketed dark money, and those who use election process rules to help win elections -- or at least to cause chaos.
The bill is a 571-page dreamscape of wild wishes and federal mandates on states. The Constitution decentralizes power over American elections and puts states in charge. H.R. 1 would undo that.

Decentralization promotes individual liberty. When power over elections is centralized, it is easier for that power to be abused. When power over elections is decentralized, no single malevolent actor can exert improper control over the process. That is precisely why Democrats are so eager for Washington, D.C., to have more power over our elections.

Adolfo Martinez, 30, of Ames last month was found guilty of a hate crime – a class "D" felony – third-degree harassment and reckless use of fire. Police said he stole a pride banner hanging at Ames United Church of Christ and burned it early June 11 outside the Dangerous Curves Gentleman’s Club.
Story County Attorney Jessica Reynolds said hate crime charges were added because Martinez is suspected of criminal mischief against someone's property because of "what it represents as far as sexual orientation."

Once House Democrats vote on their partisan impeachment, it goes to the Senate.
We know Senate Republicans, and Trump, have big plans for this trial. President Trump will finally get a fair chance to defend himself.
And, aw, isn’t it cute? Democrat Chuck Schumer thinks he gets a say in all this! After House Democrats refused any request from Republicans, Schumer thinks he can demand things of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
In fact, he wants to question four top figures: Robert Blair, Mick Mulvaney, John Bolton, and Michael Duffey.
That’s nice. Keep making demands, Chuck. But something tells me they’re going to fall on deaf ears.
Especially since we know what you said just a few years ago.

Yet, during former President Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial in 1999, Schumer, D-N.Y., roundly dismissed the importance of, and voted against, such witness testimony — suggesting it amounted to “political theater.”
Just like Nadler and Pelosi, Chuck Schumer is going against his own words from the Clinton impeachment.
Back then, he called subpoenaing presidential staff “political theater.”
Now, he thinks he can make demands, trying to drag White House staff into the room.
It’s pretty rich, considering how Democrats ran their impeachment inquiry in the House.
Every legitimate request for witnesses by Republicans was denied by Schiff. Nadler only gave them one.
Other requests, even time for questions, were denied by these Democrats. It was pretty clear that their hearings were a sham, a kangaroo court meant to railroad the president.
Yet now Schumer thinks he can demand what he wants? You’re dreaming Chuck.
This isn’t the old GOP, the one that got pushed around by swamp dwellers and Democrats.
This is a party run by Donald Trump. And they’re not going to let Democrats in the Senate do what their buddies in the House did.
Graham and the rest of the Senate Republicans have no reason to bow to Chuck’s wishes. They will hold a real trial and give Trump the chance to clear his name.

Oh man, the irony!

And here’s another significant point– this arrest was not reported.
Okay, so Hunter Biden has a buried criminal record, and he was given a high-ranking position in a foreign company.
It’s not looking good for Joe, either.
Just a year after Hunter’s arrest, Biden gave a speech where he said we needed to “hold every drug user accountable.”
Well, that doesn’t include your son, I guess. His report was kept secret and he got a job with a lucrative salary.
Oh, and Hunter was never punished, either. He escaped charges.
This does not bode well for Joe’s campaign: his family’s criminal activity, hiding that activity, and getting away with that activity.

The Burisma indictment reveals that former Ukrainian President Yanukovich illegally obtained $17.4 billion and laundered it through an investment fund close to the US Democratic Party.

The MP explained that this information makes up a part of a large-scale scheme of Zlochevsky’s money laundering that involved politicians from the time of ex-President Viktor Yanukovich who continued this scheme under another (now former) President Pyotr Poroshenko, with the backing of former Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeria Gontareva.
“We will reveal the information about the financial pyramid scheme that was created in Ukraine and developed by everyone beginning with Yanukovich and later by Poroshenko. This system is still working under the guidance of the current managerial board of the National Bank, ensuring that money flows in the interest of people who stole millions of dollars, took it offshore and bought Ukrainian public bonds turning them into the Ukrainian sovereign debt,” Dubinksy claimed. He then added that “in both cases of Yanukovich and Poroshenko, Ms. Gontareva and companies she controls were investing the stolen funds.”
Another Verkhovna Rada MP, Andrei Derkach, claimed that the US Franklin Templeton Investments management company was also involved in the scheme. “The investigation suggests that the Yanukovichs illegally obtained $7.4 billion and laundered it through an investment fund close to the US Democratic Party as government domestic loan bonds,” he pointed out.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told a lie so egregious that even the liberal media called her out for it.
Back in September, Pelosi spread a woefully inaccurate tweet about the actual number of children killed with firearms each year.
Her goal was to push more anti-gun propaganda, but the Washington Post fact-checked her on Thursday and gave her four Pinocchios for a “bogus talking point.”
Pelosi has repeatedly claimed that 47 percent of gun deaths were “teenagers or children,” according to the Post.
CDC data show the real number is closer to 9 percent, meaning she exaggerates the true number by more than five-fold.
This discrepancy led the Post to assign Pelosi’s claim the harshest rating on its fact-checking scale.
“For months, in speeches, news conferences, tweets and interviews, Pelosi has been using a version of an incorrect talking point to make the firearms death toll for teenagers and children appear significantly higher than reality,” the fact-check read.
“When we queried her staff, we were told she had simply misspoken. But that was false, too,” WaPo added.
When asked about the discrepancy, Pelosi’s office said the speaker meant to say 47 teenagers or children were killed with guns per day.
However, that number would amount to 43 percent of gun deaths, still very far from the CDC’s findings.
The new claim from Pelosi’s office, the Post said, seemingly “took advantage of” the paper’s policy to not assign scores to false statements made by politicians who later correct themselves. The Post made an exception to the policy and gave Pelosi four Pinocchios, its harshest possible score.
So, her initial claim was a gigantic lie.
And when her office tried to clean it up and "clarify," they still got the number totally wrong.
And, she has refused to delete the inaccurate tweet
