Graham Sends Kamala Harris New Warning Ahead Of Impeachment by Martin Walsh4 days ago
South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham has a warning for his Democratic colleagues just days before the Senate impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.
During an interview on Fox News, Graham warned Democrats that trying to prolong a sham trial for political purposes could have a political blowback they’re not counting on.
And Vice President Kamala Harris will be a primary target.
Graham said any Democratic attempting to bring in witnesses to discuss Trump’s alleged role in inciting the U.S. Capitol incursion of Jan. 6 would open the door for Republicans to call in their own witnesses.
This, of course, would allow Republicans to bring up Harris’ own words regarding the much more destructive riots the country saw over the summer.
“If you’re going to pursue this, and you want to start calling witnesses, and you want to drag this out, it would be fair to have Kamala Harris’ tape played where she bailed people out of jail,” Graham said.
“What more could you do to incite future violence than to pay the bail of the people who broke up the shops and beat up the cops?” he said. “How is that not inciting future violence? Be careful what you wish for, my Democratic colleagues. Be careful what you wish for.”
Graham’s reference to a “tape” was apparently an error, but there’s no doubt there’s evidence that Harris encouraged the disturbances over the summer that started over the death in police custody of alleged counterfeiter George Floyd in Minneapolis, then spiraled into orgies of destruction around the country.

The memorandum makes the case for Trump’s innocence in detailed and methodical fashion. At one point in the letter, Trump’s lawyers say that the Democrats are leaving out a “chilling fact” about that fateful day.
On page 7 of the memorandum, the Trump legal team confirms that law enforcement received reports of a potential attack on the Capitol well before Trump’s January 6th speech…throwing out the possibility of a sudden “incitement” by the 45th President’s speech.
“Despite going to great lengths to include irrelevant information regarding Mr. Trump’s comments dating back to August 2020 and various postings on social media, the House Managers are silent on one very chilling fact.The Federal Bureau of Investigation has confirmed that the breach at the Capitol was planned several days in advance of the rally, and therefore had nothing to do with the President’s speech on January 6th at the Ellipse,” they said.
“According to investigative reports all released after January 6, 2021, “the Capitol Police, the NYPD and the FBI all had prior warning there was going to be an attack on the Capitol…”Embarrassingly enough, even members of the Democratic leadership themselves have admitted on the record, albeit subsequent to January 6, 2021, that they believed the riots were pre-planned, with some, including Representative James C. Clyburn, the House Democratic Whip, going so far as to accuse fellow House Members of coordinating and planning the attack in advance as co-conspirators,” the Trump team added.
“Either the President incited the riots, like the Article claims, or the riots were pre-planned by a small group of criminals who deserve punishment to the fullest extent of the law,” they continued.
“The real truth is that the people who criminally breached the Capitol did so of their own to allow a “good crisis” to go to waste, the Democratic leadership is incapable of understanding that not everything can always be blamed on their political adversaries, no matter how very badly they may wish to exploit any moment of uncertainty on the part of the American people. A simple timeline of events demonstrates conclusively that the riots were not inspired by the President’s speech at the Ellipse. “The Capitol is 1.6 miles away from Ellipse Park which is near the White House. This is approximately a 30-33 minute walk. Trump began addressing the crowd at 11:58 AM and made his final remarks at 1:12 PM… Protesters, activists and rioters had already breached Capitol Grounds a mile away 19 minutes prior to the end of President Trump’s speech,” they concluded.
In another section of the letter, Trump’s legal team digs into the text of the former President’s speech that morning.
“At the demand of the Speaker of the House, certain members of the House drafted and introduced Resolution 24 impeaching Mr. Trump, in his capacity as President of the United States. The single Article titled “Incitement of Insurrection” charged Mr. Trump with engaging in “high Crimes and Misdemeanors by inciting violence against the Government of the United States,” the letter states.
“An insurrection – unlike a riot – is an organized movement acting for the express purpose to overthrow and take possession of a government’s powers. Incitement is the act of encouraging someone to do or feel something unpleasant or violent. President Trump’s speech was not an act encouraging an organized movement to overthrow the Unites States government,” the lawyers continue.
“On January 6, 2021, Mr. Trump addressed a crowd of people who had gathered on the Ellipse, public land that is part of the President’s Park next to the White House. Mr. Trump spoke for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Of the over 10,000 words spoken, Mr. Trump used the word “fight” a little more than a handful of times and each time in the figurative sense that has long been accepted in public discourse when urging people to stand and use their voices to be heard on matters important to them; it was not and could not be construed to encourage acts of violence,” they added.
“Mr. Trump never made any express or implied mention of weapons, the need for weapons, or anything of the sort. Instead, he simply called on those gathered to peacefully and patriotically use their voices,” the lawyers added.

Trump Impeachment Is Unconstitutional and Reeks of Political Revenge Congressman Bill Posey Posted: Feb 06, 2021
Just like the Russian collusion narrative, it was all political theater, engineered before an election, and designed to railroad President Trump and energize the Democratic Party’s base of support at a time when the economy was thriving and our country was at peace. In the Senate there was little appetite for the show trial and the articles of impeachment were rightly dismissed. Trump Impeachment 2.0 is unconstitutional and should also be dismissed by the U.S. Senate.
Now that President Trump’s term has ended and he is a private citizen, the impeachment articles are irrelevant, and the case is moot. The U.S. Constitution limits impeachment jurisdiction to the current president, vice president and sitting federal civil office holders. Additionally, the Constitution prescribes a punishment that shall not go beyond removal from office with the possibility of being disqualified from holding office in the future. Since President Trump no longer holds office, the penalty if convicted is meaningless. It’s politics at its worst and will only serve to further divide our nation.
Furthermore, it is disingenuous to tie President Trump’s January 6th remarks with the violence that took place at the U.S. Capitol. President Trump addressed the crowd by the White House grounds about two miles away from the Capitol, exercising his right under the First Amendment, and he asked attendees to protest peacefully. He did not use any language during his address that could be construed as incitement. He also rightly denounced the violence and instructed federal authorities to bring those responsible for breaking the law to justice.
There is good reason to believe that a group of individuals, unaffiliated with the rally, assembled, broke the law, and disobeyed police orders by breeching the doors of the U.S. Capitol even before President Trump made his remarks. We also now know that bombs were placed outside the Republican and Democratic Committee Headquarters in the early morning hours indicating violence was planned possibly weeks in advance.
House Democrats were so eager to get another shot at impeaching President Trump that they bypassed the regular process and denied President Trump, members of Congress and the American people the prerequisite fact-finding through committee hearings and official investigations into the events of January 6th. We still do not have a full accounting of what took place, and what organizations and individuals were involved in the violent acts that day, though I have requested this information from law enforcement authorities. We need a bipartisan commission to investigate those events.

“There was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes, one that both curtailed the protests and coordinated the resistance from CEOs,” Ball writes, referencing a desire to keep the peace over the election after many months marred by racial tension and riots.“
Both surprises were the result of an informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans.”
A study conducted by the Media Research Center in November suggests slanted media coverage may have tilted the election in favor of President Joe Biden.
