UPDATED 10:16 AM – Tuesday, May 2, 2023Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a set of new crime bills into law which are meant to keep criminals in jail, and “throw the book at pedophiles” on Monday.
The three new bills, House Bill 1627, House Bill 1359, and House Bill 1297, increase the penalties for fentanyl traffickers, target bail reforms that are pushed by “leftist prosecutors,” as well as allowing the death penalty for those who commit certain crimes against minors.
“Today, I signed legislation that will: Makes child rapists eligible for the death penalty with the minimum sentence of life in prison without parole,” DeSantis (R-Fla.) said on Twitter. “Impose additional penalties on fentanyl and drug-related crimes targeted at children, Protect Floridians from disastrous bail ‘reform’ policies.”
House Bill 1627 targeted “bail reforms” with a variety of changes which included requiring the state’s Supreme Court to create a uniform bond schedule for the entire state by the end of 2023.
House Bill 1359 aimed to increase penalties against “rainbow fentanyl” traffickers by increasing the sentence to a possible life term in prison. Also, under the new bill, if someone attempts to create or sell fentanyl, they face a mandatory minimum of three years in prison, and If an adult sells, or gives fentanyl to a minor, the mandatory sentence will be up to 25 years in prison.
The last bill the governor signed, House Bill 1297, which imposes the death penalty against those who “commit sexual battery against children under the age of 12.”

The IRS website is emblazoned with the words, “We’re Hiring Special Agents Now!”
Among the major duties of IRS special agents is to “be willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments.”
Another duty is to “carry a firearm.”
The website say a special agent “must be prepared to protect him/herself or others from physical attacks at any time and without warning and use firearms in life-threatening situations; must be willing to use force up to and including the use of deadly force.”
Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) notes that the IRS has “360 vacancies” for agents, and those vacancies are spread across all 50 states.
President Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress used the Inflation Reduction Act to send $80 billion to the IRS, and ATR points out the IRS is “on pace to hire 87,000 IRS employees over the next decade.”

I do not personally know Tucker Carlson, except that we have only talked once, by phone, many years ago, when Tucker called me. That is my only interaction with him. Therefore, I do not know firsthand from interaction with him what happened regarding Tucker and Fox. However, I have talked with someone who did talk with him. What I am about to share is already public knowledge. If it were not, I would not share it here. It was not about Dominion voting machines, nor J6 videos, as some presume. Over the weekend, Tucker and Fox got into conflict over his show content. He would not back down. They would not accept it. They were at loggerheads. He quit. I suppose one could say he was fired, but it is more accurate to say he quit, or so I was told.
What is profoundly alarming is the fact that so many good ones – Tucker being the most recent and the best – have been let go IF THEY SPEAK THE TRUTH. THIS IS ALARMING. (Note: For emphasis, I will put TRUTH in all caps.) This has profound consequences for a constitutional republic. (I am not discussing here the vast majority of the news media, the MSM – such as CNN or MSNBC or ABC, CBS & NBC – as they have lost all credibility, as far as TRUTH is concerned. My focus here is on what is often labeled “conservative media.”)
Glenn Beck was probably the first major casualty of the “cancel culture,” long before that phrase was known. (Note: I know Glenn, and I have enormous respect for him, but we have never once discussed his departure from Fox.) One of the reports I heard (not from Glenn) was that “Glenn spoke about God too much.” In addition, when you consider how totally honest and revealing he was about the Deep State (which is real), it is a wonder he lasted as long as he did. Glenn Beck reported TRUTH. Glenn was exceptional. His famous blackboards revealed the evil in this world. His removal from Fox was a painful loss for our Republic.
TRUTH-teller Dan Bongino, as of last weekend, is gone from Fox, supposedly over a contract dispute. Greta Van Susteren (now on Newsmax) left Fox several years ago, saying she did not feel “at home.” (Note: I just met her husband this week, but resisted the temptation to ask him about this. I did not know him well enough to probe.) Presumably she did not leave for the same reasons Tucker did. Or I sure hope that was not the case.
Top rated Bill O’Reilly (he now has his own outlets) and lesser known Eric Bowling (now on Newmax) were let go from Fox due to claims made against them by other persons. O’Reilly was Fox’s “anchor” show. I never met him, but those who did told me that he was – well – arrogant. However, I suppose the line between arrogance and confidence is quite thin. People who are accused of “arrogance” are frequently simply profoundly confident. But I do know this: O’Reilly was very good on air. He was remarkable. He spoke TRUTH. And he is gone. Another serious loss.
There have been so many others who are gone. Not only from Fox, but even from Newsmax. Why?
Steve Cortes is a friend, but I do not know why he is not a Newsmax any longer. Steve is one of the best. He is a TRUTH-teller.
Grant Stenchfield (I have only met him once, and interviewed him once, so I do not know him well at all) was very good. He is also a TRUTH-teller. He is gone. Why? (Allegedly, he was fired because he would not attack Tucker Carlson, on another network!)
Sean Spicer (I do not know him) is gone, allegedly due to a contract dispute. Lyndsay Keith (she is a friend; she has high integrity; I so respect her) is gone, although I do not know why. Both were very good. They spoke TRUTH.
Rob Schmidt is the best “up-and-comer” in my opinion on Newsmax. Unless he gets dumped for speaking so boldly, he will go far. He is smart. He is hard hitting. He is a TRUTH-teller. He is engaging.
But back to Tucker and the key issue: So many who speak TRUTH – real TRUTH – get axed. There were so many nights that when Tucker finished his opening monologue I would think – and sometimes say out loud to my wife – “I wonder how long he will be able to tell the truth like this.” I was genuinely concerned for his physical safety. The radical Leftists play dirty. They would love to “take him out.”
Frankly, he was the most “content rich” news show on TV. I marveled at his content. I tried to analyze how he was able to pack so much in such a short time. His research and writing team are the best I have ever observed on TV. I was stunned that they could produce shows – including the opening monologue – on a daily basis. That is hard to do. No other show could come even close to them.
Frankly, I thought he would continue on the air, as far as the network was concerned. Afterall, he was the No 1 rated news show in all of cable television.
The loss of Tucker on Fox is a profound loss for America, and for TRUTH. (Please see Chapter 29 in my book Well Versed: Biblical Answers to Today’s Tough Issues, in which I made a plea for an honest media.)
When he posted a video on twitter a few days ago, it had over 50 million views (the last time I checked). He will go on – on his own. No, he will not be on Newsmax, as many suggest. They can’t afford him. He is bigger than Newsmax. He will find some outlet. However, it may be hard to have the impact independently, that he once had on Fox. Yes, I know Joe Rogan has 11 million, but this is hard to do. There are about 11 million other podcasts that you have never heard of, because they never made it. Tucker will “land on his feet,” but this is a tragic moment in our nation.
Tucker spoke TRUTH. And he is gone. He was silenced. Censored. Muzzled. So much for an “independent” news source. That is a staggering loss for America. This may be remembered as the day that TRUTH (as far as the media is concerned) died.

Are you voting for Kamala Harris in 2024? The polls say no, but Van Jones says yes — you just don’t know it yet.
If you’re not a regular CNN watcher, you might not know Jones, who has been a contributor to the network since 2013, was an adviser to then-President Barack Obama in 2009.
He infamously called the election of Donald Trump in 2016 a “whitelash.” During that monologue, he neglected to note that he’d been fired from his relatively low-ranking position creating green jobs in the Obama White House before vetting revealed he was far too radical for even that gig.
So, yeah, when he says Joe Biden is a Trojan horse for Kamala Harris, you ought to take quite a bit of notice — particularly since our not-particularly-pert president is the spry young age of 80.
The matter came up during a discussion on “CNN Primetime” regarding Biden’s fitness. Jones, a pinko of the highest order, said a vote for Biden would be a vote for Harris.
“She is in such an unusual position,” Jones said.
“She’s a woman,” he said. “She’s black. She’s Asian. And she’s running alongside the oldest person to ever do it.

Thoughts on Tucker Carlson’s Firing
For financial context, remember Rupert Murdoch paid Megyn Kelly $15 million (Via Harper Collins) for the 2015/2016 operation against Donald Trump. Paying $60 to $100 million to get rid of Carlson’s antagonistic voice is small money to Murdoch Inc. in the grand scheme of things. [Murdoch has also paid for Ron DeSantis to oppose Trump]
Carlson will not be asked to sign an NDA, is not bound by a “non-compete” clause following the contract nullification by Fox Corp, and will be free to do anything he wants in any venture. Additionally, he will be free to say whatever he wants about the issues at Fox and speak freely, or not, without any legal or contractual constraints. Keep all of that in mind.
Prior to 2021, Tucker Carlson was what you might call a Fox News loyalist. He was very loyal to the organization. During the COVID-19 era, Tucker Carlson moved his physical location away from Washington DC to his home in Maine. Fox built him a studio, and Carlson manifest his own destiny free from most production constraints.
Over the past 18+/- months, viewers have watched Tucker Carlson essentially red pill himself each evening. As he enjoyed the proximity freedom far away from the Eye of Sauron (DC’s control mechanism), Carlson’s eyes opened further to the reality of the situation that blankets our national consciousness.
Disconnected from the machine, free-range in his abilities, and with the intellectual curiosity of the average person, Tucker Carlson started to see the U.S. system as it is, not as media pretend it to be. This is the increasing red pill absorption you have noted daily. Along with that came a more pragmatic and brutally honest production quality to the content he shared.
Carlson’s influence grew as the audience grew; the more truth he spoke, the larger the audience. That free-range influence became a liability to the system operators that hold power, including Rupert Murdoch who is a part of that control system. In essence, and in the big picture, that’s what led to this event today.
Timing and Fox Digital. Fox had just settled a lawsuit with Dominion Systems that has been widely reported. The decision to fire Carlson had only one aspect connected to the Dominion settlement, financial timing.
Fox Corp is going to take a big hit in second quarter (Q2) earnings as part of the Dominion settlement. If you are going to take a big financial hit, it’s better to go ahead and clear the decks of all financial hits at the same time.
Paying out Carlson simply gets all the big hits in the same quarter.
Digital is where the action is. Digital subscriber services is where the future of all content is focused. Understanding this reality gives you a scale of the darkness in the opposition elements facing our nation. Fox News digital is Fox Nation. Tucker Carlson and the show Tucker Carlson Today was the anchor of Fox Nation digital.
Fox Nation was struggling prior to Tucker Carlson’s long show broadcasts. The entire Fox Corp digital streaming service, Fox Nation, was anchored around the Tucker Carlson Today digital streaming service. Fox News has just torpedoed their anchor, shot their lead dog, destroyed the digital brand. That gives you some scale and scope to how the elements viewed the threat of influence that Tucker Carlson had become.
Fox Corp, and Murdoch’s stenographers at the Wall Street Journal (SEE HERE), will try to frame the Carlson firing as something of a palate cleansing. Claims of adversarial viewpoints, controversial views and conflicts with other Fox loyalists on the inside, will be used to frame the narrative. However, all of those false frameworks are just that, false. The source of the issue that led to the firing was 100% ideological.
During Tucker’s red pill absorption phase, he changed views on a variety of subjects from the FBI to the Fourth Branch of Government, to vaccination and COVID-19, to his views on Donald Trump as a disruption to an increasingly admitted corrupt political machine.
Context in the Tucker worldview expanded and he began to frame the conflict in a big picture of Good -vs- Evil. Unfortunately for Carlson, this view was from inside a multinational corporate system spreading the darkness. He had to be removed.
This is the reality of the situation as it unfolded. Accept it or not, it matters not. This is the Carlson reality.
Carlson was connecting the dots of manipulation beyond media, beyond social battles and constructs, and into the realm of finance, economics and ultimately behind the Potemkin Village of UniParty politics. Blackrock has an increased stake in Fox Corp.
Talking about what happens behind the false front of the DC village is always a threat. It is in the research and acceptance of the darkest pretending constructs that you realize how the illusions of choice are presented.
Tucker Carlson was no longer selling the illusions.
There are trillions at stake.
He was removed.
