The ‘Hunt’ Only Works If Deplorables Are Disarmed

The Hunt, which The Hollywood Reporter called a “satire,” is an R-rated product of Jason Blum's Blumhouse films with a plot line in which elites stalk "deplorables."

To give you a little flavor of the movie, one character asks early in the dialogue, "Did anyone see what our ratfucker-in-chief just did?" Another responds: "At least The Hunt's coming up. Nothing better than going out to the Manor and slaughtering a dozen deplorables."

The violent, R-rated film then follows a dozen MAGA types who wake up in a clearing and realize they are being stalked for sport by elite liberals.

According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Kim Masters and Tatiana Siegel, The Hunt stars Betty Gilpin from GLOW and Hilary Swank, representing opposite sides of the political divide. It features guns blazing along with other ultra-violent killings as the elites pick off their prey. The script from Damon Lindelof and Nick Cuse reviewed by The Hollywood Reporter revolves around, what Masters and Siegal call third-rail political themes. (Original title: Red State Vs. Blue State.)

Mss. Masters and Siegal report the script for The Hunt features the red-state characters wearing trucker hats and cowboy shirts, with one bragging about owning seven guns because it's his constitutional right. The blue-state characters — some equally adept with firearms — explain that they picked their targets because they expressed anti-choice positions or used the N-word on Twitter. "War is war," says one character after shoving a stiletto heel through the eye of a denim-clad hillbilly.

In the wake of the El Paso and Dayton mass murders, Universal has announced that it is cancelling release of the project, saying “We stand by our filmmakers and will continue to distribute films in partnership with bold and visionary creators, like those associated with this satirical social thriller, but we understand that now is not the right time to release this film.” The statement did leave the door open to a future release, reports Alissa Wilkinson of VOX.

Reza Aslan is supposedly an intellectual. He’s an Iranian-born religious studies scholar who has written several books, mostly centered on religion. A Muslim himself, he has written extensively about his faith. He’s also written about how to end religious extremism within his faith. Sounds good, for what it’s worth. However, Aslan isn’t a moderate individual. Not by a long shot.

Being one of the “blue checkmarks” on Twitter, he’s also a favorite intellectual among many on the Left. However, if he wants to talk about ending extremism, he might want to start looking in the mirror.

Top Dems Threaten Constitutional Order....August 13, 2019    

Several Democrat Senators have threatened the Supreme Court with court packing if they do not rule in their favor and impose gun control on the nation. Fox News reports:

Several high-profile Senate Democrats warned the Supreme Court in pointed terms this week that it could face a fundamental restructuring if justices do not take steps to “heal” the court in the near future.

The ominous and unusual warning was delivered as part of a brief filed Monday in a case related to a New York City gun law. Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, Richard Durbin, D-Ill., and Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., referenced rulings by the court’s conservative majority in claiming it is suffering from some sort of affliction which must be remedied.

“The Supreme Court is not well. And the people know it,” the brief said. “Perhaps the Court can heal itself before the public demands it be ‘restructured in order to reduce the influence of politics.'”

The last part was quoting language from a Quinnipiac University poll, in which 51 percent favored such restructuring. In the same poll, 55 percent believed the Supreme Court was “motivated by politics” more than by the law.

This is an egregious overstepping on the part of these Senators, but America and the Courts will stand tall against these Constitutional infringements.
Biden announces national rifle confiscation plan










 Many of America’s most popular rifles will be illegal and subject to confiscation under a plan announced by Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.

Under the Biden plan, so-called “assault weapons” would be taken from Americans under a “buy back” plan.

FOX News reports:

The former vice president, in a CNN interview, said that a Biden administration would push for a “national buyback program” to get such firearms “off the street.”

Asked what he’d say to gun owners worried that Biden would be coming for their guns, he quickly answered: “Bingo! You’re right, if you have an assault weapon.

“The fact of the matter is [assault weapons] should be illegal. Period,” Biden said. “The Second Amendment doesn’t say you can’t restrict the kinds of weapons people can own. You can’t buy a bazooka. You can’t have a flame-thrower.”

“Buy back” plans are national gun confiscation, but gun owners are handed a check in order to make the program look voluntary. Under most “buy back” plans gun owners who don’t want to “sell” their guns are subject to arrest.

Biden’s definition of “assault weapons” includes nearly every hunting and sporting rifle sold in the United States, including guns with certain cosmetic features that look “scary” or can accept magazines larger than 10 rounds.

While Biden claims “The Second Amendment doesn’t say you can’t restrict the kinds of weapons people can own” and “You can’t have a flame-thrower,” the Second Amendment clearly says the opposite and flame-throwers are legal under federal law. California is the only state that bans them.

Epstein, who was 66 when he died, was known to be close to Donald Trump before he was president and Bill Clinton. (While he WAS president) No allegations of sexual impropriety connected with the financier's activities have been made against them.....CLINTON..??

Trump and Clinton traveled on Epstein's private jet while Epstein was a regular guest at parties at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida......

After autopsy, cause of Jeffrey Epstein's death awaits 'further information' By Tom Winter, Doha Madani and Alex Johnson

The New York City medical examiner's office said Sunday that it had completed an autopsy on the financier and accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein but that it needed more information before determining the cause of death.

Multiple people briefed on the investigation told NBC News that suicide remains the presumed cause of death and that no sign of foul play has emerged in the day and a half since Epstein, 66, was found unresponsive in his federal jail cell in lower Manhattan on Saturday.
Epstein was not on suicide watch at the time of his death, even though he was found in his cell two weeks ago with marks on his neck, multiple people familiar with the investigation said.
