It is already against the law to touch a woman without her consent, so WHY do we need a special law for pregnant
women ?
PHILADELPHIA -- Most pregnant women have experienced people close to them touching their "baby bump" or asking if they can, but what if a stranger just comes up and touches their belly?
Pregnant women in Pennsylvania are now protected by the law if they don't want their baby bumps touched.
It started with one case where a pregnant woman said a man touched her belly without permission. He’s now been charged with harassment.
Renee Ramp, who works with pregnant women at a shelter, said there are all kinds of reasons why some pregnant women don't want to be touched.
If it's a man who wants to touch a pregnant belly and he's aggressive or suggestive, she said it's worth calling police
