Wells Fargo’s bank in New Mexico has taken down the American flag that was hanging inside the building for six years. It says “a few people” complained that the flag was “offensive.” When questioned as to why the flag was offensive, the bank refused to provide an answer.

A spokesman for Wells Fargo told KRQE-TV they have received a number of complaints from people in different states about U.S. flags on display in the banks.Some customers objected to the decision:
When asked the flag might offend people, the bank could not come up with an answer.
“We have to stand up for what’s right and it’s right to be able to display the flag! Because of someone previously complaining and being offended about the flag being up, they were asked to remove it.”Let me ask a simple question — delicately. If natural-born Americans living in a foreign country (even if they had since become citizens of that country) complained about the nation’s flag flying on one of its banks, what would be the response? Exactly right.
Whoever requested that the bank take the American flag down is the one who is “intolerant,” not the ones flying the flag to begin with.
This is an attack on America’s symbols (national and religious) on the grounds they aren’t universally applicable, and are therefore “offensive.”
Since when have Americans’ preferences for their own culture and nation been trumped by those who are offended? Everyone has the right to their own culture, including Americans.
