Protestor Interrupts First Muslim Prayer Service In National Cathedral on


In what was billed as a “powerful symbolic gesture” the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.–one of the most prominent Episcopal churches in America–hosted a Muslim prayer service to Allah. Hundreds of Muslims and other guests gathered to listen to both Christian and Muslims speak out for religious unity and against Islamic extremism. For the first time in our nation’s history the Muslim call to prayer was heard in this iconic Christian sanctuary. Many considered it a national tragedy and religious insult that the leadership of that church body allowed this event to take place in the name of Inclusiveness, Tolerance, Political Correctness, and Multiculturalism.

The event was initially interrupted by an outburst that came as dozens of Muslims knelt on prayer rugs below walls of stained glass and stone archways. The protester, a “well-dressed, middle-age woman” from Michigan, managed to sneak into the tightly secured, invitation only service.
“Jesus Christ is on that cross over there,” she yelled. “Get out of our church. Leave our church alone.” Other sources quote her as saying ““America was founded on Christian principles. . . . Leave our church alone!” As of yet, no video of her outburst has been released.
