Megyn Kelly Gets Into Shoutfest With Black Congressman Who Made ‘Hands Up’ Gesture On House Floor By Brian Carey, December 3, 2014
Green is one of a few members of Congress who took to the floor of the House to make the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” gesture, even though there is no credible evidence that Michael Brown had is hands up when Officer Darren Wilson shot him.
That’s exactly the point that Kelly brought up with Green. She read the testimony of three African-American witnesses who appeared before the grand jury to say that Brown was charging Wilson, not holding his hands up and surrendering.
Green wasn’t buying that and instead replied that there were other witnesses who saw him with his hands up.
Kelly pushed back saying that all three of the witnesses who saw Brown charging Wilson were African-American, so how could their testimony be racially motivated?
Green really didn’t have an answer for that, and then just went into spin mode.
