Obama Compares Himself To George Washington During An NBC Interview
President Obama just accidentally revealed that he doesn’t even know the history of his own home and office. During an embarrassing interview with NBC, the Commander-in-Chief unleashed an alarming flub that sheds light on his limited education. Here is what he had to say: “I’m the first president since George Washington to make booze in the White House.”
The words may seem innocuous, but they contain a flagrant falsehood! Here is the problem with that quote: Washington was deceased when construction began on the White House. He never set foot inside; in fact, John Adams was the first leader to reside in the iconic building. Those who are not history buffs can be forgiven for not recognizing the faux pas, but Obama should really know better.
The statement was made directly before Super Bowl XLIX, so Americans can be forgiven for not paying attention. Still, it is a depressing reminder of the country’s disturbingly inept leader. This is the kind of fact that immigrants need to know before they are granted citizenship, and Obama himself doesn’t even possess the knowledge.
In terms of public relations, this was a major fumble. Everyone is now aware that the free world is run by an oblivious buffoon. This whole spectacle has brought shame to the American political system and disgraced our first president.
This despicable debacle was an attempt to appease the public by promoting the White House’s exclusive honey ale. Now we all know the secret ingredient in Obama’s beer: It’s sheer stupidity.
