On Tuesday, Oregon State Police and the FBI arrested some of the leaders linked to the occupation of a federal wildlife refuge.
Though Ammon and Ryan Bundy are now in custody, their protest at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge continues.
According to recent reports, the militia members dug into the wildlife refuge may have suspected an escalation in law enforcement efforts.
Other key members of the 26-day occupation have allegedly returned home for short stays to say goodbye to their families.
At least two refuge occupants have traveled to Utah and back already.
Another occupier from Arizona stated he was planning to see his wife and children before heading back north.
