By now you know the White House is demanding school districts

across the country adopt restroom policies that allow individuals

 to use the facility of their choice based on their owngender identity,

not on sex determined at birth.

States are already fighting back despite threats from the Obama

 administration to pull federal education funding from districts

that do not comply. As Cortney covered earlier, Texas Lt. Governor

 Dan Patrick ripped into the Obama administration for the directive.

“President Obama, in the dark of the night – without consulting

Congress, without consulting educators, without consulting parents

– decides to issue an executive order, like this superintendent,

forcing transgender policies on schools and on parents who clearly

 don’t want it,” Patrick told local NBC 5 Friday.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who has fought a number of battles

against the administration over the years, is also taking a stand.
