Your concealed carry permit should be like your drivers license or marriage certificate.

Most Americans agree.  Most of Congress agrees.

But Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell? Not so much.

Rep. Richard Hudson’s “Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act” would allow anyone with a concealed carry permit, or who can carry in a Constitutional Carry state, to also carry when they travel across state lines.

It has 213 co-sponsors, and more than enough votes to easily pass in the House.

There is also a version in the Senate, which also has enough votes to pass.

But Ryan and McConnell are blocking the bill, refusing to hold a vote.

Meanwhile, law-abiding gun owners with concealed carry permits are being arrested and charged with crimes for crossing a state line with their legally-permitted firearm.  With state laws constantly changing, it’s impossible to know exactly which states allow you to carry.

And, as people who live near a state line can tell you, gun owners often find themselves forced to cross state lines by road construction or wrong turns.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would fix that, restore Second Amendment rights nationwide and bring concealed carry permits or Constitutional Carry rights into compliance with the Constitution’s requirement that states honor each others permits with full faith and credit.
