Prosecutors Say No Evidence Kyle Rittenhouse Committed A Crime In Illinois - The Police Tribune

Lake County, IL – The Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office said Tuesday that it will not levy gun charges against 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse in connection with the gun he used during the Jacob Blake riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The state’s attorney’s office said in a statement on Oct. 14 that the Antioch police had investigated and determined that the rifle Rittenhouse used to shoot three rioters on Aug. 25 was purchased, stored, and used in Wisconsin, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Prosecutors said there was no evidence that the 17 year old ever had the gun in Illinois and therefore, no state laws were violated.


Wisconsin authorities havmeanor charge for possession of a dangerous weapon by a minor, WERE reported.e charged Rittenhouse with five felony charges including first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless homicide, and a misdemeanor.
