In a surprising legal turn, the U.S. Supreme Court has dismissed a case brought by Republican presidential nominee hopeful John Anthony Castro, challenging Donald Trump's eligibility for the 2024 presidential election.
Castro contended that because of Trump's alleged role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, he should be rendered ineligible under the provisions of the 14th Amendment.

Following the dismissal of his case by a lower court due to a lack of legal standing, Castro turned to the Supreme Court for intervention
