Clark County Official: Bundy Ranch Supporters “Better Have Funeral Plans”Posted by on April 11, 2014

As Oath Keepers, scattered militiamen from around the nation, and politicians trickle into Clark County, Nevada to the embattled ranch of Cliven Bundy, a Clark County commissioner warned that those coming to support the family better be prepared to die there.

Darin Bushman, a Piute County, Utah, commissioner, called Collins about the Bureau of Land Management roundup of Bundy’s cattle in the Gold Butte area, about 80 miles east of Las Vegas. The cattle are being seized after Bundy failed to pay grazing fees over 20 years. When the conversation ended, Bushman posted on Facebook that Collins said Utahns are “inbred bastards” and if they come to Clark County to support Bundy they “better have funeral plans.”
Collins als o told Bushman that they should mind their “own (expletive) business.”
When asked if he had any regrets about what he told the county commissioner from Utah, Collins said: “I’ve got no regrets about what I said to that son of a bitch.”

Are High-Tech “Smart Guns” Another Gun Control Tactic?

April 12, 2014 by Twitchy

Hungry students around the country have had it with meager, unpalatable school lunches. They’re flooding social media with photos of their unfortunate cafeteria trays and letting michelle obama know that they hold her responsible for “ruining lunch” with the Healthy, Hunger-free Kids Act.
Turning Point USA is a student organization “fighting for fiscal responsibility, free markets, and capitalism.” Members of the Venus, Texas, chapter at Venus High School have a message for the lunch lady in chief: “No more, mrs. obama.”

BREAKING: House Ways and Means Committee Votes to Refer Lois Lerner For Criminal Charges    Katie Pavlich | Apr 09, 2014

The House Ways and Means Committee has voted to 23-14 along party lines to refer former head of tax exempt groups at the IRS Lois Lerner to the Justice Department for prosecution. Although the details about exactly what charges will be have not yet been released, lawmakers are arguing Lerner has not been truthful with Congress or the IRS inspector general and leaked confidential tax information.
Last time a referral like this happened, it was to Major League Baseball player Roger Clemens, who was pursued by the Department of Justice for lying to Congress but was exonerated in court.
This is a test for the Department of Justice and the Obama administration. What's more important? Baseball and steroids? Or the most powerful federal agency abusing its power to target innocent conservative groups?
Last summer President Obama called the targeting "outrageous" and promised to hold people responsible and accountable for what happened. If the Justice Department refuses to pursue charges against Lerner, it's fair to say one reason is because they don't want information leading back to the administration coming out in court.
Tomorrow the House Oversight Comittee will vote on whether to hold Lerner in contempt of Congress.
Holder: Can you believe the way the Attorney General of the United States was treated yesterday?April 9, 2014 by Erika Johnsen
The almost textbook outrageously-outraged followup to Holder’s confrontation with Louie Gohmert
during a House hearing on Tuesday. Ugh.

I am pleased to note that the last five years have been defined by significant strides and lasting reforms, even in the face, even in the face, of unprecedented, unwarranted ugly and divisive adversity. And if you don’t believe that, you look at the way — forget about me, forget about me — you look at the way the Attorney General of the United States was treated yesterday by a House Committee. It had nothing to do with me, forget about that. What Attorney General has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment? What President has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?
“It had nothing to do with me”? Well, actually, it one hundred percent had absolutely everything to do with you — and not because of the reason (hint: rhymes with “bassist”) you’re rather unsubtly implying, either. It might, however, have had something to do with the fact that your department within the Obama administration has ‘unprecedentedly coordinated a scandalously failure of a deadly gunwalking operation that you’re still trying to downplay and dismiss while continuing to obfuscate the investigation thereof by refusing to hand over all of the relevant documentation. “What attorney general has ever been treated this way”? Wrong question, buddy.”

School Stabbing Spree: 20 Hurt in Pittsburgh-Area Bloodbath
A student went on a stabbing rampage through the classrooms and halls of a high school outside Pittsburgh on Wednesday morning, authorities said. As many as 20 students were hurt, some with life-threatening injuries.
The student was in custody and being questioned by police, said Dan Stevens, a Westmoreland County emergency management spokesman. The student is a sophomore, the county confirmed to NBC News. Stevens said that the motive was unclear.
The attack happened at Franklin Regional High School, in the suburb of Murrysville, just after doors opened for the day. A student described panic in the halls.
“I was walking into the school and a stampede of people were running after me,” said the student, Kari Lee, who said several of her friends had been knifed. “They were screaming, ‘Go to your cars! Go to your cars! Someone is stabbing people!’”
Seven teenagers and an adult were taken to Forbes Regional Hospital, Dr. Chris Kauffman, the trauma director there, told CNN. The seven were stabbed in the chest, back and abdomen, he said. He characterized some of the injuries as life-threatening.
At least two of the students were in surgery. Others were undergoing CT scans and X-rays and could require surgery later        .REST OF STORY

Holder is the one who needs to be in bracelets [behind his back]

Holder: Maybe Gun Owners Should Wear Bracelets

"Vice President Biden and I had a meeting with a group of technology people and we talked about how guns can be made more safe,” Attorney General Eric Holder said in House appropriations subcommittee Friday. Holder suggested that by using finger print identification or guns that talk to a bracelet worn by the gun owner, the weapons could only be fire by "the person who is lawfully in possession of the weapon.”

R-S-P-E-C-T, R-I-S-P-E-C-T, Whatever...Susan Stamper Brown | Apr 08, 2014

What happened? Didn't America elect a Nobel Laureate who promised to return the respect he claimed was missing by buddying-up with the bad guys and bullying our friends? Well, it backfired, so it is a bit ironic Obama recently misspelled something that's taking a nose dive both here and abroad these days. He spelled respect as "RSPECT" last month when introducing Aretha Franklin and her signature song at a White House event honoring women of soul. It was funny -- right up there with his 57 states gaffe years back. The kind of funny people on both sides of the aisle can enjoy. Clinton has his catnap, and Bush, his "strategery," so it seems a little silly the White House saw fit to scrub Obama's flub from the official White House transcripts. But, you know what? Even if he could spell it, he still wouldn't have it.

Press Gets It Wrong Again on Mass Shooting

Mona Charen | Apr 08, 2014
In the aftermath of the mass shootings in Aurora, Colo.; Newtown, Conn.; Tucson, Ariz.; Virginia Tech; the Washington Navy Yard; and sadly, other locales, conventional wisdom held that the epidemic of mass shootings was a problem of gun control. I wrote columns attempting to draw attention to the mental health system in America that so wrongheadedly fails to treat the dangerous mentally ill.
Now, at last, the mental health angle on mass shootings has become conventional wisdom -- just in time, perhaps, to be wrong again.

It's a start.............

Obama Aunt who Stayed in U.S. Illegally Dies at 61

President Barack Obama's aunt Zeituni Onyango, who was denied asylum in the United States but stayed illegally for years, died Tuesday at age 61.
Onyango, whose immigration status was reported by The Associated Press days before Obama's election in 2008, had been treated in recent months for cancer and respiratory problems, Cleveland attorney Margaret Wong said. She died in a Boston rehabilitation center, said Wong, who represented her in her immigration case.
Onyango, a half-sister of Obama's late father, moved from Kenya to the U.S. in 2000 and was denied asylum by an immigration judge in 2004. She remained in the country illegally, living in Boston public housing.
She finally was granted asylum in 2010 by a judge who said she could be in danger if she returned to Kenya because of her relationship with Obama.      REST OF STORY

Marine Killed at Camp Lejeune After Sentry Discharges Rifle

A U.S. Marine guard was killed at the main gate of Camp Lejeune in North Carolina after another Marine sentry discharged an M4 rifle, the base said in a statement.
The base did not specify whether the fatal shooting was intentional.

Marine Capt. Joshua Smith said the incident was under investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service — but it was not considered an act of terrorism or an active shooter event.
Base officials did not immediately identify the Marine who was killed, pending notification of next of kin. Authorities said he died of a single wound to the chest after efforts to revive him.
The alleged shooter is in custody, a U.S. Marine official told NBC News. Marine officials are not ruling out an accidental discharge.
Base spokesman Nat Fahy said the shooting took place around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The camp, located outside Jacksonville, N.C., was founded in 1941. It is home to several Marine commands and one U.S. Navy command.

Nevada Rancher Threatens 'Range War' Against Feds

April 7, 2014
A Nevada rancher's threat to wage a "range war" with the federal Bureau of Land Management precipitated a standoff today between supporters of the embattled rancher, Cliven Bundy, and law enforcement officials.
Bundy posted a statement on the Bundy Ranch website on Sunday night saying: "They have my cattle and now they have one of my boys. Range War begins tomorrow."
He invited supporters to show up this morning on his property, about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, near Bunkerville, just west of the Utah state line.

Bundy's beef with federal land management officials dates back to 1993, according to federal officials, when Bundy's allotment for grazing his cattle on public land was modified to include protections for the desert tortoise. Bundy, who told the Associated Press his family has been ranching this part of Nevada since the 1870s, did not accept the modified terms, and continued to let his cattle graze anyway.

After legal maneuverings on both sides, a Nevada district court judge in 2013 permanently enjoined Bundy's cattle (some 900, by the government's count) from grazing on public property. The judge reiterated that decision in 2013 and authorized the U.S. government to impound the cattle.                    FULL STORY

As with all Americans, my wife, Gena, and I had our hearts broken again last Wednesday as we heard about another killing spree at Fort Hood, Texas, in which four people died and 16 more were injured at the U.S. Army's largest active-duty installation.
Chelsea Schilling, WorldNetDaily's commentator editor and journalist extraordinaire, reported shortly after the tragedy: "The shooter, identified as 34-year-old Ivan Lopez, is among the dead. Lopez reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound," but only after being confronted by a courageous female military police officer in the parking lot. (Interestingly, it was also a female cop who felt responsible for thwarting the Fort Hood gunman in 2009. Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 people -- the deadliest attack on a domestic military base in U.S. history.)

EMPIRE STATE REBELLION: Hundreds of Thousands of New Yorkers Refuse To Register So-Called “Assault Weapons” Ahead Of April 15 Deadline     Posted by on April 5, 2014

Due the the tyrannical actions of Andrew Cuomo and his allies in the state legislature,  New York residents are required to register an estimated 1 million firearms designated as “assault weapons” under the NY SAFE Act by April 15.
Unfortunately for the Governor and his allies, it appears that the open revolt of most of the state’s law enforcement leaders against NY SAFE—who correctly view the law as a blatantly unconstitutional assault on the state constitution and the Second Amendment—means that noncompliance is overwhelming.
While NY State Police refuse to publicly share the number of firearms that have been registered (citing a provision of the NY SAFE Act itself), leaks purporting to be from within the agency suggest that compliance might be as low as just 3,000-5,000 firearms. There is no way to conclusively verify this paltry figure which suggests that 99.5% of New Yorkers are thumbing their noses at Albany, but it may very well be a credible figure.
Why?
Non-compliance rates of 85%-90% or more are the rule when draconian gun control laws demanding registration are passed in the United States. Those rates are normal even with relatively popular support from voters and law enforcement. Those dynamics of “popular support” are assuredly not in play in New York.

It’s Easier to Hunt with Your Kids, Than for Them

 Doug Giles | Apr 06, 2014
Last month, artist, patriot and rebel photographer Ben Phillipi slipped down to photograph me for his forthcoming firearm book, We The People. Ben’s book showcases unashamed, gun-loving patriots, from every walk of life, that love this great land’s founding principles, especially that pesky second amendment that perpetually ticks off the controlling progressives.
After Ben had enough pics of my aging mug and my lovely guns, we sat down for a video interview for Guns.com. One of the questions Ben put across my bow was “What difference does hunting make to the person who hunts?” As usual, I gave several amazing answers and, like most of the interviews I do, I usually slap my head a few days later for forgetting to say something that was really important. Oh, well, I blame it on a combination of getting old and becoming excited like Borat when I get on camera.
Anyhoo, the thing I wish I would’ve added was that if you take your kids hunting it’s cheaper than taking them to rehab later on in life. The point being, at least the way I’ve done it and have seen it done via proper instructions and love, there is healing in the wings of the family that hunts together.        View Full Article
