PARALIZED OR JUST PARANOID ??
Lock down Nation: A Country Paralyzed By Fear Of Duffel Bags [and backpacks]
By Brian Anderson on February 14, 2014
Yesterday in Pacoima, CA, not too far from where I live, a middle school was put on lock down because of a duffel bag. Can you imagine a duffel bag being at a school? School officials panicked at the sight of this common item and called the bomb squad. Students were evacuated as well as homes in the neighborhood. It took the police three hours to figure out that it was a duffel bag filled with gym clothes.
This has become an almost daily occurrence. Somebody sees an ordinary item and before you know it, there is a crisis of epic proportions. A teacher hears a car backfire, mistakes it for gunfire and an entire university goes on lock down. There is a growing trend of massive overreaction by both the police and the citizens.
At the Superbowl this year, all bags were prohibited, even women's handbags
