Idiots. I had my kid shooting a single shot 22 when he was 5 or 6. I never "hid" my guns, and he was taught that any time he wanted to hold one, or learn about it, all he had to do was ask. It totally removed the mystery. He was taught the 4 rules right from the get go. He is now in his 30s, and so far, so good.
