It’s no secret that Vladimir Putin is not a huge fan of President Obama, but he made sure to document his dislike for the President by writing a message for him along the landing strip of a Russian controlled airport in Syria. According to the Observer News, Putin isn’t the only Russian who dislikes Obama. Apparently, the entire Russian population has come up with a nasty term for the United State’s President, which has been printed on flyers, bumper stickers, and most recently, the airport landing strip in Syria.
The message reads “Obama Schmoe,” and it is clearly visible from the air. The term “schmoe” comes from a Yiddish word “schmuck,” and the Russian population has also advertised it in places much worse than an airport landing strip. According to reports, they also got French Senator Yves Pozzo to hold up a t-shirt with the term on it when he visited last year. According to the Pew Research Center, Russian support for Obama has been declining since 2011.
The Russian population has also publicly criticized the amount of time the President spends on the golf course, saying that during his reign as president, he has spent more than 1,100 hours playing golf. In addition to this, a local Russian store used the President’s face in a calendar by photo shopping his face onto that of a monkey’s. The calendars were eventually removed, although the store owner claimed that they did not specifically mention that it was Obama in the photograph, so he felt it wasn’t a big deal.
