Report: Trump's Frustration Over FBI Agent's Actions Behind His Criticism
The FBI agent, Peter Strzok, was reassigned earlier this year when it was discovered he had sent the texts that were critical of Trump and complimentary about Hillary Clinton. Reports of the story over the weekend brought out new charges from the president and allies that Mueller's investigation into possible collusion between Trump's team and Russia is actually a political "witch hunt." Trump noted the stories in The New York Times and The Washington Post about Strzok, who also was involved in the probe of Clinton's private email server that ended up bringing no charges.
"Now it all starts to make sense!" Trump tweeted. "After years of Comey, with the phony and dishonest Clinton investigation (and more), running the FBI, its reputation is in Tatters — worst in History! But fear not, we will bring it back to greatness."
