During a recent interview, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi attacked the coronavirus task force, professionals in the science/medical field, questioning why they don't "care or have any commitment to science?" The comments came during an interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
“Why is it, do you think, that the President is choosing to ignore scientists and science and talk about reopening the country, not shut the country down soon enough?” James Corden asked without evidence of his assumptions.
“Well, I do believe that he is in denial,” Pelosi replied, “and again, the delays are dangerous,” while accusing without evidence that President Trump is not “evidence-based.”
“I just do wonder how others can stand with him while he says the things he does in a way that they are accepting as truth,” she added.

Pelosi said “shelter-in-place and social distancing” are working, “and for him, because of the stock market or whatever to make a different decision can be dangerous,” she said while ignoring the economic devastation from keeping the economy closed.
Pelosi claimed the President “is not listening to scientists" which is quite ironic considering Pelosi urged Americans to go to China town in late February.
