Recently, a white woman was attacked by group of black men. Why? She was carrying a confederate flag on her way to a fundraiser, and the flag was meant to be a prop to symbolize the South. The victim, only four feet eleven inches tall, says the incident was unprovoked.
“We didn’t say a word to them. First, they started kicking me and trying to knock me down,” she explained to reporters. “I mean, I can’t be racist for what one group of kids did. I mean, they’re not all like that.”
Her views are admirable given the extreme circumstance.
Perhaps one of the most shocking reactions was that of local police, who decided not to label the assault a hate crime. However we struggle to see any other explanation.

 

P.S. The confederate flag is part of history and has nothing to do with slavery

Caught on Camera: Dog Robs Dollar General by Kerri Fivecoat-Campbell  December 16, 2013

            

A “pawsitively” bad dog in Clinton, S.C. was apprehended last week after he was caught on security camera taking off with goods from a Dollar General.
The crime spree began when Cato the Husky broke away from his leash and headed straight for the store.
According to Fox Carolina, the surveillance cameras showed Cato walking up to the doors at approximately 9:38 a.m., however, the doors closed before he could make his way in. Finally, he was able to sneak in with customers where he proceeded to rob the store of pigs ears, beef bones, dog food, and treats.
The four-legged bandit then left the store in less than a minute, but returned about three minutes later.
"We had to lock the door to keep him from coming back in," said store manager Anastasia Polson.
Cato must have known that he needed to hide his loot because he took all the stolen goods and buried them nearby.
The police, who filled out a report just for the fun of it, might have asked Cato for a confession, but the four-legged bandit exercised his fifth amendment -- right against self-incrimination.
The 'red-pawed' dog did have to spend some time in the pokey, but Holly Darden, Cato’s mom, bailed him out and paid for the stolen goods.
This isn't the first time Cato has entered local businesses. 
"He's gotten into Ingles. He's gotten into BI-LO. He goes to Pizza Hut. And he goes up to Yo Cup which is downtown too," Darden said.
We are happy to report that Cato is now back home lounging around the house.

A jury returned a verdict of not guilty today for a Texas father accused of the shooting death of a drunk driver who killed his two sons.

David Barajas was accused of fatally shooting 20-year-old Jose Banda in December 2012 after Banda plowed into a vehicle that Barajas and his two sons had been pushing on a rural road in Alvin, about 30 miles southeast of Houston.

The Barajas family broke into tears in the courtroom today while Jose Banda's family sat in stunned   disbelief.
"I am relieved but still in pain. My two boys are dead and nothing will bring them back," Barajas said in a post decision news conference.

David Jr., 12, and Caleb, 11, were killed in the accident.

A visibily angry District Attorney Jeri Yenne said prosecutors "would never present a case against a person we did not believe was guilty."

"Three sons were lost that day. The Barajas children and the Banda son," Yenne said.

If Barajas had been convicted, he faced a potential life sentence.

A 9-year-old girl being taught how to use an Uzi sub-machine gun lost control of the powerful weapon and accidentally killed her instructor, authorities said.

The shooting happened at 10 a.m. Monday at Bullets and Burgers, a gun range within the Arizona Last Stop tourist recreational complex southeast of Las Vegas.

 According to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, the instructor –- identified as Charles Vacca, 39 –- was standing next to the girl, teaching her how to use the Uzi. The girl's parents, who are from New Jersey, stood nearby, capturing video of the experience.

“They walked up with a fake box pretending that there was a cellphone in there and it was a gun,” his brother, Saif, told WJBK. “My brother tried to leave, he tried to run away, they just shot him a couple of times in the head.”

Kansas Police Shoot Suicidal Teenager Sixteen Times

     By Police in Ottawa, Kansas gunned down an 18 year old over the weekend, pumping sixteen bullets into his body in yet another example of police overkill. Ottawa, a small town in northeast Kansas (population 12,646 per the last census) and the birthplace of former Democrat presidential candidate Gary Hart who was brought down by a 1987 sex scandal, is hardly the place where one would imagine such an incident going down. It is small-town America, like Mayberry along the banks of the Marais des Cygnes River but in a country where the police have been allowed to run amok  and are tacitly encouraged to resort to violence rather than to deescalate, such shootings can happen anywhere at any time.
The victim, a suicidal teenager named Joseph Jennings was shot down like a dog by police in a hardware store parking lot. There was an initial report that Jennings may have had a gun but appears to have been unarmed. Kansas City television station KCTV reports:

DOJ: Former HHS cyber security director convicted on child porn charges August 26, 2014 by Twitchy Staff

According to a press release from the Department of Justice issued today, the former acting director of cyber security at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services was convicted Tuesday of “engaging in a child exploitation enterprise, conspiracy to advertise and distribute child pornography, and accessing a computer with intent to view child pornography in connection with his membership in a child pornography website.”

The Department of Justice reports:

Timothy DeFoggi, 56, formerly of Germantown, Maryland, is the sixth individual to be convicted as part of an ongoing investigation targeting three child pornography websites. The three websites were run by a single administrator, who has since been convicted in the District of Nebraska of engaging in a child exploitation enterprise in connection with his administration of the sites.
According to evidence presented at trial, DeFoggi registered as a website member on March 2, 2012, and maintained his membership and activity until Dec. 8, 2012, when the website was taken down by the FBI. Through the website, DeFoggi accessed child pornography, solicited child pornography from other members, and exchanged private messages with other members where he expressed an interest in the violent rape and murder of children. PEGGY NOONAN: I think what your old boss is doing here is very dangerous for him and in an optics way. It has to do with making real -- making into a metaphor something that people already think. There's already a sense out there from Democrats and Republicans that the president seems a little bit disengaged from the process and a little detached from what's going on.

For him repeatedly to be -- to be showing, for many months now, that vacation and golf and all of these things are so terribly important to him, underscores the original charge of a certain detachment and disengagement.

Nobody begrudges a president going away, but people are impressed when a David Cameron, during a crisis like this moment with ISIS, comes back from his first day of vacation to do his job.

And they're impressed when the French, I think, foreign minister says to Mr. Obama, sometimes you have to stop having fun, you have to be doing the job.

23-year-old Aaron Sofer is still missing after hiking in the Jerusalem forest and people back home fear he may have been taken.

UPDATE: New Jersey lawmakers spoke about Aaron Sofer's disappearance at a Tuesday morning press conference. 

Three days into the search for a New Jersey student missing in Israel, his family is asking for intervention from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), according to the Jerusalem Post.

Fears are growing that a South Jersey student who went missing in Jerusalem may have been kidnapped.

Aaron Sofer, 23, disappeared Friday while hiking in the Jerusalem Forest with a friend. The two became separated while making their way along a steep incline. Sofer has not been seen since and now his family and members of his community back home in Lakewood, New Jersey, fear he may have become a victim of the Gaza-Israeli conflict.

Obama Sends a Message: Mike Brown’s Death More Important than Highest Ranking Military Official Killed Since Vietnam  August 25, 2014 By Jennifer Burke

Barack Obama and Joe Biden did not attend the funeral of Major General Harold Greene, the two star general recently killed in Afghanistan. He was the highest ranking officer killed on the battlefield since the Vietnam War. Only low-level members of the regime were sent to the funeral of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, one of Ronald Reagan’s greatest allies in ending the Cold War.

Though Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry died as a result of the Obama regimes failed gun running fiasco, Operation Fast and Furious, no one from the administration attended his funeral. No one from the Obama regime has called the Terry Family to offer apologies or condolences. Eric Holder claims they sent a letter, while refusing to apologize at a Senate hearing, but the family is adamant that no such letter was sent or received.
Less than 10 minutes after giving a speech, one that came 24 hours late, about the beheading of American photojournalist James Foley by the Muslim terrorist group ISIS, Obama was on the golf course yucking it up with friends, which included two high powered and wealthy lobbyists.
But, Barack Obama will be sending not one, not two, but three members of his administration to the funeral of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. This is after Eric Holder stood before the cameras and told the people of Ferguson that he stands with them.

Leading the group for Monday’s service will be the chairman of the My Brother’s Keeper Task Force, Broderick Johnson. My Brother’s Keeper is an Obama initiative that aims to empower young minorities. Johnson is also the secretary for the Cabinet.
Also attending will be the deputy director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, Marlon Marshall, and an adviser for the office, Heather Foster.

After Eric Holder all but condemned Officer Darren Wilson, ignoring the evidence of the strong armed robbery that Brown is said to have committed or the pummeling to the face experienced by Wilson at the hands of Brown, perhaps this should come as no surprise. After all, we have a community agitator organizer, who stirred up strife and division as a way of life, occupying the Office of the Presidency and an attorney general who identifies as an activist rather than an attorney.

VIDEO: Obama Speaks Out About Racism In America

Our president, a man of mixed racial heritage, came into office amidst our dreams of all races drawing closer together. These dreams have been rudely shattered throughout his tenure as president. Racism is indeed a problem. It manifests itself in various insidious ways.

White on black is perhaps the most obvious racism in our country’s history. Fair enough. The displacement of Native Americans followed by the enslavement of Africans certainly left a wedge between the races. These prejudices still exist. So does black against white racism. Some African Americans are racist against Puerto Ricans. The list continues.
If we focus on only one type of racism, then we will lose the battle for unity. There is nothing wrong with our president sending the DOJ to Ferguson to ensure justice. Unfortunately, the DOJ is quite selective when choosing to become involved. Black on white crimes are ignored. Illegal immigrants murdering Americans are ignored.
Eric Holder and Barack Obama are passionate about preventing law enforcement from acting with prejudice against people of color. Are they as passionate about prosecuting civilians who murder police officers?
Mr. Obama supports My Brother’s Keeper, an initiative developed to close the opportunity gap for disadvantaged youth. The last milestone of this initiative begins with “All children should be safe from violent crime.” What about the children in Chicago dying every day from gang violence?
Race in America is not always the problem. Consequently, it is indeed time for a change. Perhaps a change of perception is in order?
