But "THEY" made it available to the WHOLE WORLD. Isn't that close to being treasonous ? doesn't this make the U.S. look even worse through the eyes of the world ?

Udall plays key role in release of congressional CIA torture report   By Mark K. Matthews  The Denver Post

U.S. Sen. Mark Udall on November 14, 2014.

WASHINGTON — In the end, Mark Udall didn't go it alone. Nor did he have to follow through on his threat to publicize Congress' investigation of the CIA by reading the so-called "torture" report aloud on the Senate floor.
But as he took a victory lap Tuesday, the Colorado Democrat warned that the "righteous cause" of government transparency shouldn't stop with the release of the Senate's report on CIA abuses.
"We are going to continue to work to find the right balance between privacy and security," he said.
Yet as Udall looked forward — both for the nation and his own future life outside the Senate — civil libertarians and fellow Democratic lawmakers were looking backward to applaud the veteran senator for the role he played in forcing the document into the light."Sen. Udall deserves a lot of credit," said Chris Anders, a senior legislative counsel with the ACLU."Throughout his tenure on (the) Senate intelligence (committee), he was one of the staunchest supporters of Sen. (Dianne) Feinstein in getting the report done" and making it available to average Americans.

Dick Cheney refuses to call CIA's brutal interrogation techniques 'torture'

Was never a great fan of Cheney but I have to say I agree with him 100% on these issues. I would say "we could use a few more like him in our government today" !! At least he doesn't back down or change his story just to satisfy what people want to hear....

'I'd do it again in a minute,' former vice president says.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney refuses to call the enhanced interrogation techniques detailed in last week's Senate Intelligence Committee report on the CIA's brutal handling of prisoners "torture."
“We were very careful to stop short of torture,” Cheney said on "Meet the Press" Sunday. The Senate has seen fit to label their report torture.  But we worked hard to stay short of that definition."
"All of the techniques that were authorized by the president were, in effect, blessed by the Justice Department opinion that we could go forward with those without, in fact, committing torture,” the former vice president continued.
Cheney said he defines torture as "an American citizen on a cell phone making a last call to his four young daughters shortly before he burns to death in the upper levels of the Trade Center in New York City on 9/11."
"Meet The Press" host Chuck Todd asked if the "involuntary rectal feeding" detailed in the Senate Intelligence Committee's report met the legal definition of "torture."                             READ STORY

UCLA law professor learns Ferguson-related exam question taboo   By FoxNews.com

Law school exams often present legal conundrums ripped from headlines of the day, but one UCLA law professor is apologizing for basing a test question on what is apparently a taboo subject -- the fallout from the police shooting of a black man in Ferguson, Mo.
Professor Robert Goldstein said the exam question was designed to test students’ ability to analyze the line between free speech and inciting violence. It cited a report about how Michael Brown’s stepfather, Louis Head, shouted, “Burn this bitch down!” after a grand jury decided not to indict Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson in the death of Michael Brown.

WHAT ?? NO LOOTING OR BURNING IN D.C. ?

Families of Slain African-Americans Join 'Justice for All' March in Washington DC   Dec 13, 2014  By and

Thousands of protesters walked down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C. today to march alongside the families of African-Americans killed in recent months by law enforcement officers.
The families of Michael Brown, Eric Garner and Tamir Rice were among those at the "Justice for All" march, where protesters carried signs reading "Black Lives Matter."
"Let's keep it strong, long and meaningful," Eric Garner's widow, Esaw Garner, told the crowd. Eric Garner died in July after a New York City police officer put him in a chokehold while stopping to arrest him for allegedly selling "loosie" cigarettes.
"My husband was a quiet man but he's making a lot of noise right now," Esaw Garner said. "His voice will be heard."

Milwaukee Sheriff Says It’s Time To Start Talking About Black Crime

The Washington Times reports:
Milwaukee’s tough-talking black sheriff, David Clarke, argued this week that white Americans have “made great strides” in healing race relations, and that sooner or later they’re going to grow tired of having their noses “rubbed in the past sins of slavery.”
“The inconvenient truth here is that too often times, disparately as a matter of fact, the perpetrators are young black males,” Sheriff Clarke told Fox News host Neil Cavuto, according to a video provided by The Daily Surge.
“That’s the discussion that we should be having in this country, instead of papering it over with things like targeting the police and cop bashing, which the president of the United States, Eric Holder, Al Sharpton, and their cabal are doing right now so that they don’t really have to deal with the real issue in the country as it relates to crime, and it’s the disproportionate involvement by young black males,” he said.
The sheriff went on to say that those pushing “false” narratives such as “hands up, don’t shoot” and “black lives matter” aren’t going after the core of the issue because the cutesy slogans are “easier to peddle.”
“We have to talk about the violence and who the perpetrators are,” Sheriff Clarke said, arguing that many young black males have “no care whatsoever for their fellow man.”
He argued that the media need to “confront this ugly truth, and talk about it.”
“Don’t continue to use these very isolated incidents of police use of force and try to make it seem like that’s the problem in America. The police aren’t what’s wrong about America. The police are one of the last things that’s right about America,” SheriffClarke said.
“Look, we all know that race is an explosive issue in America, but I’ll tell you one thing that I think is going to start happening soon, Neil, and that’s white society is going to get tired of having their nose rubbed in the past sins of slavery. We know what it did. We know what happened in this country, but white society has made great strides in trying to right that wrong. That’s another narrative that’s not being peddled here. I think I’m living testament to the fact that this country has changed.”

Finally! A public school teacher says something controversial and it’s not from the perspective of a left-wing extremist! Angela Box of Houston, Texas has resigned from her teaching position following comments she made publicly about President Obama and Muslims. She appeared on a local political show, Tommy’s Garage (yes, that Tommy’s Garage) and joked: “Can’t Ebola just take one for the team and take out Obama?”
We’re certain that everybody in our Comments section will be outraged by that sentiment.
She also said the following: “Every normal human being in the world knows that goat-fucking Muslims and, oh, boy-fucking Muslims, are the evil of the world.”
Once these statements went public, people started calling her a racist even though neither of those statements has anything to do with race.
She decided to resign, anyway. The school board unanimously approved her resignation.
She will still get three months of pay.
Now, however, she is trying to convince everybody that she is not a racist.
“Opposing President Obama and sounding the alarm about radical Islam does not make me a racist,” she told the Houston Chronicle.
On Twitter, she offered a more pointed perspective.
“Degenerate liberals and American-hating, radical Muslim apologists get to say whatever but patriots have to shut up? NO MORE,” she tweeted.
Wait. She is one of our commenters!

Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association president Jeff Follmer told The Associated Press in an interview that officers had no way of knowing that Tamir Rice was carrying an airsoft gun, which shoots nonlethal plastic pellets, when a rookie cop shot him in the abdomen Nov. 22. Follmer added that the dispatcher followed protocol when sending the officers on what police call a "gun run."
Surveillance video released by police shows Tamir being shot within 2 seconds of the patrol car stopping near him. In that time, Officer Timothy Loehmann told the boy to put his hands up, but he didn't, according to police brass and Follmer. Tamir had nearly pulled the gun out of his waistband when Loehmann shot him, Follmer said.

Again, the media.....This wasn't a school shooting, it was outside the school. the headline says 4, the video byline says 3, the article says 4 teenagers. I WISH THE MEDIA COULD GET IT'S FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE REPORTING. This makes it look like another shooting INSIDE a school

Portland School Shooting Injures Four, Police Say                                    Dec 12, 2014,  ABC NEWS

A shooting near a high school in Portland, Ore. was reported on Dec. 12, 2014

Four teenagers were shot at a Portland, Oregon, high school today and police are searching for the gunman.
The shooting took place outside Rosemary Anderson High School
A police spokesman said a girl, 16, was in critical condition and two teen boys were in serious condition. A fourth victim, a 19-year-old female, was grazed in the foot, police said.
The spokesman said all four were affiliated with the school as students or in a job training program.
"We are looking at the possibility that the shooter may be gang affiliated," the spokesman said, but it wasn't clear if the victims had any gang affiliations or were unintended victims of a shooting.
The shooter fled the scene, police said.
The school serves at-risk students who have been expelled, are homeless or single parents. According to the school's website, 190 students are enrolled.
A nearby high school and community college were also temporarily placed on lockdown.

Police: Man Painted Handgun Red to Resemble Toy

The arrest came just four days after legislation was introduced in the state to require that lookalike guns be brightly colored or otherwise marked. Ohio lawmakers took up the bill following two police fatal shootings of young people carrying lookalike guns in recent months.
Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil said it's "a scary thought" that guns would be painted to mislead police.
Police responding to a call about a man with a gun said they found Orlando Lowery, 23, with a .380-caliber handgun painted red and 9 grams of cocaine. No attorney was listed for Lowery, who was jailed on a concealed weapons charge and a drug count.
The bill, introduced Monday by Rep. Alicia Reece, would require all BB guns, air rifles and airsoft guns stand out in color or have prominent fluorescent strips. The Cincinnati Democrat named the bill after 22-year-old John Crawford III, who was carrying an air rifle this summer in a suburban Dayton Wal-Mart store when he was fatally shot by police. Police said they thought Crawford had an assault rifle. Last month, a 12-year-old boy carrying a pellet gun in Cleveland was fatally shot by police.
The legislation was modeled after a California law. Several other states and cities have similar laws.
Some opponents of the bill have expressed skepticism about whether such measures would be effective in preventing fatal shootings, and some have suggested that criminals would try to disguise weapons to cause police to hesitate.
The sheriff said his office wouldn't get into the debate over the bill, but would provide some facts about the arrest.
"And the fact is right here in Hamilton County, we arrested a dangerous individual who we believe purposefully painted a loaded handgun red to mislead law enforcement into thinking this was a toy gun," Neil said in statement.

What Obama Was Keeping Secret Before Passing Amnesty

Screen Shot 2014-11-20 at 6.18.27 PM     Prior to passing sweeping immigration reform, President Obama had a plan. And as he gave 5,000,000 illegals full amnesty, he was carefully following through with that plan.
For most of his presidency he’s been telegraphing what he was going to do, but if you listened in on the countless interviews and speeches, it didn’t seem like it was possible. However, Obama has been intent on becoming the new dictator ever since he came into office.
The unfortunate thing is how he’s lied about it for years. In numerous statements Obama has claimed that there is no “magic wand” he can wave in regards to immigration. In fact, here are 3 videos where the president says it’s simply “not possible” to lay down sweeping immigration change.

The public can now see images of the historic San Francisco shipwreck the SS City of Rio de Janeiro for the first time since the ship sank 113 years ago in the city’s worst maritime disaster, often called the “Bay Area’s Titanic.” The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released three-dimensional sonar maps and images of the steamship that struck rocks near the Golden Gate Bridge on Feb. 22, 1901. The accident marked a heavy loss with 128 of the ship’s total 210 passengers and crew dying in the wreck, according to a press release from the NOAA.
There were 82 survivors, rescued by fishermen in the area who heard distress calls from the sinking ship on that foggy night. Victims of the accident included the U.S. Consul-General in Hong Kong and his family, as well as Japanese and Chinese immigrants.

With Deadline Looming, Spending Bill Sputters As Leaders Hunt for Votes
Image: A general view of the U.S. Capitol dome can be seen to the carriage entrance to the U.S. Senate in Washington
With the clock ticking towards a midnight deadline to keep the government open, leaders have delayed a vote on a massive spending package as they scramble to find enough bipartisan support to pass it.
The delay came hours after the measure barely cleared a procedural hurdle to keep it alive.
House Democrats are set to huddle at 5:30pm ET to discuss a way forward, as the spending measure has prompted a public rift between the White House and progressive Democrats, who primarily object to the bill's inclusion of a rollback of financial reforms. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, famed as a thorn in Wall Street's side, has branded those changes a "bailout" for big banks at taxpayers' expense.

Congressional Staffers Walk Out, Protesting Garner, Brown Decisions on Capitol Steps NBC News

The protests over the lack of indictments in the Eric Garner and Michael Brown cases have expanded to Congress. Congressional staffers walked out of their jobs Thursday afternoon in a symbol of solidarity with protests taking place in the streets, on the basketball court and on football fields across the country.
The walk out was led by Senate chaplain Barry Black. Staffers stood on the steps of the Capitol holding their hands up.
Meanwhile inside the Capitol, the House of Representatives was struggling to come up with the votes to pass a government funding bill that would keep the government open past midnight.
"Democrats and Republicans across the country are incredibly frustrated by what happened in Ferguson, Staten Island, and elsewhere, and this protest reflects the mistrust they have in the integrity of the criminal justice system," Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland, said in a statement. "These congressional staffers put in incredibly long hours, nights, and weekends working to pass legislation to help people live better lives, so I fully support them taking a few moments today to pray with the Senate chaplain for Congress to take action to ensure that all Americans are treated equally before the law."
Cummings is one of several members of Congress who requested hearings on the issues raised by Garner's and Brown's deaths.
