What if I catch the Covid19 virus ??

As you know, the coronavirus—if you catch it, and get very sick—is a terrible thing to go through and you may even die.
But do you know the odds of any American getting this virus? One would think that number is easily known or available. It’s not. A lot of digging into various municipal data portals reveals, based on the population tested, that rates can vary from, at most, eight-tenths of a percent in New York City to two-one-hundredths of a percent in Phoenix.

Did you know the chances of recovery from the coronavirus are about 98%—if you catch it? Did you know there are models showing 50% of the population may have already had it, never knew they had it, and recovered?

Our officials and media have warned us of 2 million deaths in the United States. Then 200,000 deaths. Then 100,000 to 240,000. This needs to stop. There have been a total of 68,000 coronavirus deaths worldwide. And we are told we will see, just in America, three to four times that number. Does that even pass the plausibility test?

Read this once, pause for a minute or two to think honestly about it, then read it again. The views this mother has about Donald Trump are much like many other people. Sometimes God uses the no-nonsense, salty sailor to get the job done. Appreciating what the man is doing doesn't mean we worship the salty sailor or even desire to be like the salty sailor. It doesn't even mean God admires the salty sailor. Maybe He just knows he's necessary for such a time as this.
I believe with all my heart that God placed that salty sailor in the White House to give this nation one more chance in November 2016. Donald Trump is what he is – and he is still the man he was before the election – and without guilt. I very much admire what that salty sailor is accomplishing. He's not like me. That's okay with me. I don't want to be like him. I will never behave like him. I know we've NEVER had a man like him lead our nation before. It's crazy and a little mind-blowing at times. But I can't help admire the stamina and ability he has – acting with his heart rather than a calculated, PC, think tank-screened, carefully edited script. I still believe that is WHY he became our President and WHY he's been able to handle a landslide of adversity and STILL pass unprecedented amounts of good legislation for our country AND do great works for MANY other nations, including Israel.
I'm THRILLED with what he's doing for my nation, for the cause of Christ (whether intentional or unintentional, doesn't matter to me), and for the concept of rebuilding America and putting her FIRST. I will not be ashamed of my position because others don't see him through the same lens.
Should it matter to me if a firefighter drops an f-bomb while he's pulling me from a burning building? Would I really care about what came out of his mouth in those moments? Heck no! I'd CARE about what he was DOING. He wasn't sent there to save my soul, and I'm not looking to him for spiritual guidance. All I'm thinking in those moments is, "Thank you, GOD, for sending the fireman.” AND DONALD TRUMP IS OUR FIREMAN.

I'll soon post this article again for those who still might not understand me. This man is crass. Okay. He's not careful with what he says. Okay. You feel offended that he's not a typical statesman. Okay. But he is DOING THE JOB of rebuilding the nation my son died for... the nation I feared was on a fast track to becoming a hopeless cause.

It’s still appalling that Gov. Ralph Northam is the governor of Virginia. If anything, it exposes the entitlement of liberal politicians, the hypocrisy of their liberal media allies, and the confirmation that there are two separate sets of rules regarding Democratic and Republican politicians. Northam engulfed the Old Dominion in controversy when an old photo from his days at medical school was discovered. It showed two people, one wearing blackface and the other in full Ku Klux Klan regalia. The students picked their photos. And Northam admitted to being in the photo, though he would not say which person he was in the infamous picture. The best part is that after admitting to being in the photo, he backtracked. The best part is that while he denies being in the medical school blackface photo, though he admitted to it, he says he engaged in such behavior in a dance contest in the 1980s; he was Michael Jackson. To cap it off, the lieutenant governor, Justin Fairfax, was hit with two rape allegations, and the attorney general, Mark Herring, admitted to engaging in blackface in college.

As you can see, no one was going to resign. With no Democrat to take Northam’s spot, a Republican would then occupy the governor’s mansion. It became about hunkering down and hoping the liberal media would give enough cover to survives. It happened. The Washington Post apologized for calling for Northam’s head. There are two separate rules. Democrats can get away with anything—rape, murder, racism, etc., but a GOP politician cannot. The good news is that with this incident, Democrats can’t really lecture us about racism anymore. According to their rules, the governor of Virginia is one—and they protected him. Now, Northam is trying to prepare the state the best he can amid this Wuhan coronavirus outbreak in the U.S.

Right now, it’s been recommended that people wear some sort of face-covering when they go into grocery stores or pharmacies, so Northam decided to have a demonstration and the caption from NBC Washington was quite the doozy. And it led to them deleting the tweet and offering an apology.

The man has literally no moral authority to lead, but here we are because Democrats can do anything they want as long as they have the media in their back pocket.

Trump Questioned a Reporter's Ties to the Chinese Government – and He's Definitely Onto Something

During Monday evening's White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing, President Donald Trump questioned a reporter about whether or not she works for a Chinese-run television network. The questioning was prompted when the reporter asked about the Chinese government and companies, like Huawei and Alibaba, donating medical supplies and personal protective equipment to the United States.

"Who are you working for, China?" Trump asked.

"Hong Kong Phoenix TV," the reporter replied.

"Who owns that, China?" Trump pressed. "Is it owned by China? Is it owned by the state?"

"No, it's not," she said. "It's a private-owned company."

Trump Admin Makes History by Labeling White Supremecist Group a Terrorist Org

The Trump Administration has become the first administration in history to label a white supremacist group a terrorist organization.

According to The Daily Wire:

The Trump administration is now the first U.S. administration to label a white supremacist group a terrorist organization. The move, The New York Times notes, “could cut against criticism that the Trump administration has played down the threat of white nationalist violence for political reasons.” The group also happens to be pro-Russia.

The State Department’s counterterrorism coordinator, Ambassador Nathan Sales, underscored in a statement to the Times Monday that by naming a white nationalist group a “specially designated global terrorist organization,” the Trump administration is doing something “unprecedented.”

“These designations are unprecedented,” said Sales, as reported by the Times Monday. “This is the first time the United States has ever designated white supremacists as terrorists, and this illustrates how seriously this administration takes the white supremacist terrorist threat. We are doing things no previous administration has done to counter this threat.”

“The State Department’s designation for the organization, the Russian Imperial Movement, sets up the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control to block any American property or assets belonging to the group,” the Times explains. “It will also bar Americans from financial dealings with the organization and make it easier to ban its members from traveling to the United States.” Three of the group’s leaders — Stanislav Anatolyevich Vorobyev, Denis Valliullovich Gariev and Nikolay Nikolayevich Trushchalov — are being labeled individually as terrorists, officials told the Times, a designation that includes additional sanctions.

Despite Trump critics frequently citing him as being sympathetic these groups the admin has taken decisive steps against them. The admin added white supremacist groups to the National Strategy for Counterterrorism in 2018.

And their metaphor for its expected rocky debut was, what a surprise, totally inappropriate.

“There is also significant concern that the process and portals created to manage the loan demand will crash over the course of Friday,” CNN claimed. “This has a very Obamacare website rollout feel to it,”

“The potential failure to deliver small business aid as promised — one of the first big rollouts from the [COVID-rescue] legislation — could deal a major blow to public confidence as a crippling recession looms,” Politico trembled. “Some fear a disaster that could dwarf the failed kickoff of the Obamacare enrollment web site in 2013.”

ObamaCare? Let’s not go there.

Trump removes independent watchdog for coronavirus funds, upending oversight panel  By Kyle Cheney and Connor O’Brien,  Politico•April 7, 2020

President Donald Trump has upended the panel of federal watchdogs overseeing implementation of the $2 trillion coronavirus law, tapping a replacement for the Pentagon official who was supposed to lead the effort.

A panel of inspectors general had named Glenn Fine — the acting Pentagon watchdog — to lead the group charged with monitoring the coronavirus relief effort. But Trump on Monday removed Fine from his post, instead naming the EPA inspector general to serve as the temporary Pentagon watchdog in addition to his other responsibilities.

That decision, which began circulating on Capitol Hill Tuesday morning, effectively removed Fine from his role overseeing the coronavirus relief effort, since the new law permits only current inspectors general to fill the position.

You are starting to see more of that as this drags out. You have got Nancy Pelosi, Gavin Newsom and others thinking this is a great time to get our socialism on. You also have functionaries – all of whom are still getting paychecks – who are way too eager to start issuing orders instead of relying on citizens to behave rationally. We don’t need to be ordered around, but they can’t resist the ordering. The moron mayor of LA is offering rewards to freedom narcs, and government hacks making stores refuse to sell “non-essential” items – what the hell they are thinking telling us what is and is not “essential” anyway? They are thinking, “Hey, this power stuff is fun!” Which is why you should never give power to someone who enjoys it.

The mainstream media, when it’s not otherwise engaged in covering for the bat-eating ChiComs and ignoring the credible #MeToo allegations against ole Grandpa Badfinger, is cheerleading to shut down the entire country. Of course, just because New Yorkers live on top of each other in a festering urban petri dish does not mean everyone else does, but who cares? Yesterday the Mises Institute published a brilliant article titled “End the Shutdown” [which I have included below], making the point that continuing the “house arrest” of Americans and the shutdown of the economy will have much worse consequences than the coronavirus itself.

With the infection to fatality ratio at about the rate of the seasonal flu (as per a new Lancet study), is the continued destruction of American economic and social life worth it?

The shutdown of the American economy by government decree should end. The lasting and far-reaching harms caused by this authoritarian precedent far outweigh those caused by the COVID-19 virus.

The American people — individuals, families, businesses — must decide for themselves how and when to reopen society and return to their daily lives.

Neither the Trump administration nor Congress has the legal authority to shut down American life absent at least baseline due process.

As Judge Andrew Napolitano recently wrote, business closures, restrictions on assembly and movement, and quarantines are not constitutionally permissible under some magic “emergency” doctrine.

At a minimum, the federal government must show potential imminent harm by specific infected individuals at some form of hearing or trial.

These due process requirements are not suspended.

State and local officials may claim, or even possess, lawful police powers to shut down their communities.

We offer no analysis of such powers or claims under the myriad of state constitutions and authorizing legislation. But they should resist exercising these powers.

The governor of Virginia, in particular, deserves admonition for unilaterally imposing a lengthy period of virtual house arrest.

We do not know, and cannot yet know, how many Americans will become sick or die from the virus. We do know that predictions regarding infection and death rates are highly unreliable.

Even actual deaths attributable to COVID-19 are not so easy to count, as Italy has discovered.

Age, general health, and comorbidity are difficult variables to assess, and people may die “with” the virus but not “from” it.

It is also very difficult to assess the lethality of the virus relative to previously known types of flu and colds.

To date, COVID-19 deaths in the US are far fewer than deaths in ordinary flu seasons or from past pandemics such as the H1N1 virus.

This understanding is critically important to put the virus, and the government response to it, in perspective. Even during past pandemics, depressions, and world wars, Americans went to work.

In 1850, French economist Frédéric Bastiat helped the world understand the “seen and unseen costs” of state policies. It is simple to see how quarantines and lockdowns will slow the spread of COVID-19.

It is critical, but not so simple, to see the costs and harms caused by the economic shutdown.

Only then can we rationally understand the tradeoffs involved.

How many Americans suffering from other illnesses cannot see a doctor now? How many Americans will lose their jobs, their life savings, their retirement prospects, and their incalculable feeling of self-worth?

How many will succumb to depression, drug or alcohol abuse, and suicide? How many will lose their homes, divorce their spouses, or suffer abuse?

How many will never recover in their careers?

How many small businesses, including vital doctors, dentists, and veterinarians, will vanish from your community?

How many young people will “fail to launch”?

Worse still, will grocery stores and gas stations remain open and stocked? Will crime spike? Will the American social fabric, already thin from politics, tear apart?

These questions are not rhetorical. All of these things happened, to a degree, following the Great Recession of 2008. They will happen again — very soon — if we fail to act immediately.

Tomorrow, on April 1, millions of Americans will not pay rent or mortgages. Millions of small businesses will shutter, just as many large employers such as Macy’s, Kohl’s, airlines, and hotels already have. Millions of service workers are unemployed already, but many more jobs will be lost. The effects will cascade.

There is no conflict between humanitarian and economic concerns; in fact they are flipsides of the same coin. A poorer America will be a much less healthy America, one more vulnerable to future illness and disease.

Technology, modern medicine, and market actors can address a virus; already we see entrepreneurs producing cheaper ventilators and doctors using cheap generic drugs with very promising results.

This local, bottom-up approach is the only effective way to confront the virus. The federal government, as we see now and have in the past, is comically incapable of competence in times of crisis.

On a fundamental level, freedom really is more important than security — or, in this case, an illusion of security.

We all demonstrate this in our personal lives every day, from flying to driving to riding bicycles, to consuming unhealthy food and drink simply because we like it. Security has never been the sole or even primary goal for a country born in rebellion.

Government cannot decide what aspects of our lives are essential or nonessential. The American people cannot simply sit at home and wait for government checks written on funds that government does not have.

End the shutdown.

                                           I don’t believe anyone has ever summed up the evils of government in so well, and in so few words, as Ludwig von Mises when he wrote:

The state is God, deifies arms and prisons. The worship of the state is the worship of force. There is no more dangerous menace to civilization than a government of incompetent, corrupt, or vile men. The worst evils which mankind ever had to endure were inflicted by bad governments. The state can be and has often been in the course of history the main source of mischief and disaster.

One-hundred percent true, but let us not forget that people do, indeed, get the government they deserve. And when societies are overwhelmed by a crisis is when they are most likely to forget just how corrupt and evil their governments are. As soon as the calls for patriotism begin, people become compliant, and a compliant citizenry is the key to government treachery.

Clearly, Democrats are giddy with excitement over the coronavirus, because they see it as a crisis they can exploit to destroy the economy and, as a result, get Trump booted out of office. And if weak-kneed Republicans give in to Democrats in the next stimulus bill — and the one after that … and the one after that — by allowing them to stuff it full of socialist goodies on their wish-list agenda, they might just achieve their goal.

Now that Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi have made it clear that they have learned nothing from their failed impeachment effort and are preparing to give it another try centered around COVID-19, recently fired Fox Business anchor Trish Regan is looking pretty smart for referring to it as an “impeachment scam.” Not that I believe the Dirty Dems planned COVID-19 (although they would have if they knew how to do it), but their announcement that they’re going to investigate Trump’s response to it smells an awful lot like another impeachment scam brewing.

Specifically, Pencil Neck has called for “a nonpartisan commission on the government’s coronavirus response.” Very impressive language, but I have a better idea. Rather than allowing Schiff to start another phony investigation, why don’t Republicans turn things around and start an investigation into the criminal behavior of Adam Schiff?

I guess it’s for the same reason they dare not go after Joe Biden, Hillary, Chuck Schumer, Susan Rice, and the whole cast of establishment/deep state/Dirty Dem criminals who continue to flaunt their crimes on national television without fear of repercussion. As the great Chris Plante likes to say, “It’s great to be a Democrat.”
