Think there is a LITTLE racial BIAS in the way this story was NOT handled ????

6 SHOT Outside Alabama CHURCH; Media SILENT All BECAUSE    NYFeed

Earlier this month convicted Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof was sentenced to seven consecutive life sentences. (Roof shouldn’t worry though, any competent attorney should be able to get that reduced to four.) In June of 2015, then 20 years old, Roof entered Emanuel AME Church, known locally as “Mother Emanuel Church” and shot the place up. He is a monster who should and will never walk the streets a free man again.
Roof’s shooting spree was seized upon by the media as an example of what hate-inducing materials like the Confederate flag can produce in unstable individuals. Reports of Roof’s visits to Confederate landmarks fueling his rage were used as reasons to justify the removal of such landmarks and ultimately then-governor Nikki Haley signed a bill into law that removed the confederate flag from the South Carolina state capital.
The media couldn’t get enough of the narrative of a young, white racist shooting up a black church.
Fast-forward to Easter Sunday 2017 — yes, two days ago. There was another instance of a young man shooting up a black church in the south. But as opposed to Roof’s shooting, this one very few have heard about.
A search is underway for the shooter at Cathedral of the Cross A.O.H. Church of God in Birmingham, AL.  A headline befitting of this incident is: Mass Shooting by Black Suspect at Black Church Carnival.  But there are no such headlines. Not in the mainstream media anyway.
Yesterday  AL.com carried the story:
“Search underway for carnival shooting suspect; victim toll at 6 Jefferson County Sheriff’s investigators are currently looking for a teenager who they believe fired the shots that injured several people at a carnival Saturday night.
nvestigators now say six young people — five teenagers and a baby — were injured by gunfire Saturday night at a festival at Cathedral of the Cross A.O.H. Church of God off Center Point Parkway.
Deputies said four people were reported at the scene with gunshot wounds. Another two people were later discovered to have been driven to a hospital in a private car with minor gunshot wound injuries.
Four of the victims, including the one-year-old, were struck by single shots in the leg, one was struck in the elbow, and one grazed in the shoulder. The teenaged victims ranged in ages from 16 to 18.”
Three teenagers and a baby were shot and a pregnant woman rushed to the hospital.  AL.com is not the most well-known of news outlets and even in its coverage which included this follow-up story —Cathedral of the Cross members ‘thankful’ incident wasn’t worse–no physical description of the shooter appears. The closest AL.com comes is “a teenager” and “a teen.”
Chief Sheriff’s Deputy Randy Christian is quoted as saying about the shooting suspect, “He is the only suspect who fired shots. He has been identified and a search for him is being conducted.” Identified, but no description published so the public may lend its watchful eye to the search. Curious.
Birmingham is 75 percent black. This was another mass shooting by a black individual, at another black church in the south in a city that’s 75 percent black. Yet completely ignored by our media. Why? Why is a deranged white kid shooting up a black church more newsworthy? Because when it comes to black-on-black crime our media chooses to turn its collective head the other way.
