There are no "impeachment laws". The Constitution allows for the POTUS to be impeached for "high crimes and misdemeanors". It gives the House responsibility for voting to impeach and the Senate to try and then vote for or against removal o the President. ALL other procedural rules regarding the process are determined by Congress on a case be case basis.
Impeached by the house....not the democrat house, but the republicans as well....The republicans (by all reports) are being shut out of the proceedings by the DEMORATS.
