I think you all know, I’m not a Trump fan, but he wasn’t wrong. The media isn’t being fair to him this time. He wasn’t talking about voting twice. He was talking about what to do if the state hasn’t received your ballot by Election Day. His words were crude and unartful. But, he was talking about provisional ballots.
States track mail-in ballots and post when they receive them. With all of the anxiety over Trump’s Postmaster, and ballots by mail, some people are worried about whether they will be received by Election Day. If you check your state’s elections website, you can tell when the state received your ballot. And if the state hasn’t by Election Day, the provisional ballot procedure is open to you. Check your own state’s laws, which are posted on that elections website for your state’s specific procedures.
However poorly he said it, that’s what Trump was talking about.
