Not all guns, however. Just the ones the NYT editors can’t really describe, but think are too deadly:
It is not necessary to debate the peculiar wording of the Second Amendment. No right is unlimited and immune from reasonable regulation.
Certain kinds of weapons, like the slightly modified combat rifles used in California, and certain kinds of ammunition, must be outlawed for civilian ownership. It is possible to define those guns in a clear and effective way and, yes, it would require Americans who own those kinds of weapons to give them up for the good of their fellow citizens.
What better time than during a presidential election to show, at long last, that our nation has retained its sense of decency?
What’s strange is the “gun epidemic” is largely over in New York City. Why not advocate for the same policing and sentencing strategies that worked there to be implemented nationally rather than this unconstitutional move that’s sure to fail?

Media Attempts To Redefine “Mass Shooting” In Order To Inflate Number Of Attacks Bob Owens on December 3, 2015
The long-accepted definition of a mass shooting is, “four people or more people killed in a single event.” Others have further refined the definition to exclude gang-related activity, familicide, or terrorist attacks. Like the famous Supreme Court definition of pornography, it’s tough to create a catch-all to describe every possible kind of mass shooting, “but you know it when you see it.”
As Tamara Keel dryly noted this morning, propaganda outlets are attempting to radically change that definition.
The media has to resort to citing propaganda outfits that lie and change definitions, because violent crime and crime with firearms is actually on a dramatic long-term decline.

A controversial case from Massachusetts is raising questions about privacy and freedom of speech after one family got a look inside their neighbor’s garage.
WGGB/WSHM reports that it all began after the family – while on a walk through their neighborhood – passed by veteran police officer Dan McCarthy’s home.
They took a picture of what they saw and posted it to social media:

While there is still much to be learned about Wednesday’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., there’s certainly enough to call it a terrorist attack, according to former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani. And if you can’t come to that conclusion, well, you’re a “moron,” he says.
“The question here is not, is it an act of terror? We’re beyond that. When you’ve got two assault weapons, two handguns, you’re in body armor, you got a home that’s booby-trapped. You’ve been practicing to do this. Sure, it may have been motivated by some argument in a party, but this is a premeditated act of terror,” he told Bill Hemmer on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.”
“It may or may not have been,” Hemmer countered. “If you put the pieces together, his wife drove the vehicle to the facility in all likelihood because that’s why he left the meeting and went outside. And perhaps that’s when he changed and got armored-up. Does that make sense to you?”
“It makes sense to me that it’s an act of terror,” said Giuliani. “If you can’t come to the conclusion at this point that this is an act of terror, you should find something else to do for a living than being in law enforcement. I mean, you’re a moron.”

ALBANY, N.Y. – An upstate New York sheriff is urging residents of his county who are licensed gun owners to arm themselves when they leave home, citing recent mass shootings in the United States and Paris.
"I urge you to responsibly take advantage of your legal right to carry a firearm," Ulster County Sheriff Paul Van Blarcum, a Democrat, wrote on the department's Facebook page less than 24 hours after 14 people were shot dead in San Bernardino, California.
The post quickly drew hundreds of comments, for and against it.
"I'm not trying to drum up a militia of any sort," Van Blarcum told The Associated Press on Thursday. "It's just a reminder that if you want to, you have a right to carry it. It might come in handy. It's better to have it than not have it. We're partners with the public in crime prevention."
The largely rural county in the Catskill Mountains about two hours north of New York City has 10,000 licensed handgun owners, Van Blarcum said.

The shooting at the Inland Regional Center occurred at around 11 a.m. Police said two shooters barged into a conference room during a Christmas party for San Bernardino County employees and opened fire before fleeing in a black sport-utility vehicle.
Farook, an employee of the county health department for five years, where he was an environmental specialist, was at that party, Burguan said.
"He was at the party, he did leave the party under some circumstances that were described as angry," Burguan said.
Between 10 and 30 minutes passed from when Farook left the party and the shooting, Burguan said.
Explosive devices were found in the center after the shooting, and Farook and Malik were wearing "assault-style clothing" and armed with assault-style rifles when they were killed, Burguan said.

Gun Store Owner Wins ‘Muslim-Free Zone’ Lawsuit

We have to admit that we’re surprised.
You probably know the story of Florida Gun Supply. That’s the gun shop that adopted the “Muslim-Free Zone” policy following the Chattanooga terrorist attack.
In other words, owner Andy Hallinan basically banned Muslims from his store.
That didn’t go over well with the croaking toads on the left, who finally found a reason to support gun rights. The Concil on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) filed suit against the store and its owner back in July, saying the the ban was an example of discrimination on the basis of religion.
“American Muslims have a right to browse and purchase guns, take classes on gun safety and shoot guns at a range without having to be profiled and discriminated,” said Hassan Shibly, Chief Executive Director of CAIR Florida.
“Such discrimination is not only illegal, it is bad for our country and makes us less safe and less free,” Shibly added.
The case was heard by U.S. District Court Judge Beth Bloom, who effectively told CAIR to go pound sand instead of chopping off people’s heads.
She said that CAIR couldn’t make the case that they were injured by the store’s policy.
